I think it’s possible that JF is being called underrated here because he’s not in any way flashy. He plays for the song, much like so many amazing funk musicians before him. I can see that he’s not a “guitarists guitarist”… which for me makes JF more appealing… cos I’m not a fan of wanky guitar or cock-rock bands 🤷 I’ve played with great musicians before who have absolutely hated Neil Youngs playing…but again…Neil plays for the song entirely.

The singer is so cool in his moving on stage, something very dynamic and quiet/sensual. His deep low voice (speaking voice also concerned) adds to a tremendous punk loose attitude. Sensuality combined with such powerful music (not messy, sophisticated) AND a large amount of humour: saw Sebastian singing, passing the microphone from hand right to left.+++....and the micro falls down. Fortunately, long wire helps! Great opprtunity to discover his spontaneous smiling at himself. This band is wonderfully PHYSICAL, a great experience ON STAGE: Moves, Voice, Short shorts, Music that drives your own body in a pogo, or a non choregraphic dance, or in a long lasting and painful for the belly laugh, and surely everyting in the same time! I used to have to bring my guitar to school for a music class and this gives me flashbacks of "hey dude, can I play your guitar?". They'd do exactly what DJ Khaled is doing until I'd get pissed off and yank it out of their hands.

Just saw these guys in a small 300ish venue in Melbourne recently, have been listening to them for about 2 years now, and they where absolutely brilliant. Sound amazing live and the most exciting rock band I have heard in many years. Very humble easy going guys and hope they find big things, their music is good enough for it. A lot of older "big rock stars" say rock is dead, only because they don't go looking for it, it is out there!!!

I loved Gay Bar and High Voltage, I still enjoy the hell out of them. They were instant classics imo and bang to this day and I assume this was suggested to me due to my frequent watching.
