I promise to buy said tickets once my book is published and I have the time and the expendable income. By the way, you seem like an intelligent and good-hearted man. This leads me to a serious question. Why don't you marry some supermodel like other celebrities have done and help humanity by making some high-quality humans? Other men like Ted Nuget or Johnny Depp have done this sort of thing. My advice is to take a vacation in Brazil. Portuguese is easy to pick up, by the way. I am not saying to do this because I found a Brazilian woman and married her. But I have, actually.
missed the scotland tickets...unfortunate
would have been such good night 😢😊
I love it when you cover Oasis and The Gallagher brothers, Justin!
Its unapologetically fun. 2 musicians who dont need to do it getting together and performing songs inspired by bands they love (beatles, stones, humble pie, who and faces etc) . Reminds me of the 70s when musicians would often collab with eachother just because they wanted to do.
Exactly this. Well said 👍
As if Liam Gallagher has ever apologised for anything
Money had nothing to do with it of course
I doubt it. Both are multi millionaires already.
@@paulburner3817 Squire ain't a millionaire. He has a coke habit
As a resident of DishWater, Kentucky, USA….I am mildly offended!
As mild as your dish soap?!
As a resident of Scotland I can say mild green fairy liquid is mildly satisfactory
Mild green fairy washing up liquid gives you soft hand's and a mild scent of happiness 😁 😁 🤣 🤣
OK so I googled that for good reason
@Talisman09 love that. Did you see the old fairy liquid adverts from the 90s? Guinness ads and Irn Bru are a good look too. Have fun. Edit: look up milk tray man adverts. Those are iconic.
love this new collaboration and have already pre ordered the album and tickets for the NYC show! Can't wait to see two rock n roll legends performing side by side. In the words of Liam Gallagher ''It's fooking mega man!''🎸
For fuck sake
love the LG / Squire stuff. Excited for the album 🙌
I am just as excited to see Mr Gallagher and Mr Squire in the very venue that we had the pleasure of seeing the Darkness back in November in the majestic City Hall in Newcastle. And i am extremely happy that you like this and just another rainbow
Man, to have your ear for sound. I would never be bored. So very cool
Lover's Rock by The Clash, our guitarist pointed it out and I can't unhear it.
Sounds like a mashup of Strawberry Fields and Handle With Care.
Love your natural elegance, so cool....love your beautiful jacket and this video. Thanks Justin
Love what you do.. you unique & fabulous soul ❤️
Very cool. You, the jacket, RKid. All. Peace and love.
It’s biblical, mate.
The guitar in the chorus reminds me of Mersey Paradise
Got my tickets for Newcastle 16th March. Looking forward to it.
I've always been a fan of John Squire's guitar playing, it's got a bit of a slick feel to it. Not quite easy, but almost comforting, yet also very skilled. And of course a living legend for his original Stone Roses stuff.
Here comes the feelings and the underlaying lick... Sounds like a here comes the sun reference to me. George H. might be his favourite indeed.
It reminds me of If I Needed Someone. Try to listen to it
Echos of hear comes the sun and dear prudence in there. Still really like it. Also your camera seems to be a bit funny like its less images per second or something.
Pretty good stuff, IMHO! The world needs more of Liam, and this is a good more.
Huge fan btw. Keep up the great work!
John Squire is my second favorite guitarist. Second Coming is my favorite record of all time, though
1st?
Just purchased myself a yellow JHRA t-shirt! Can't wait for it too arrive🤘
Nice one!
If you ever choose to raffle off that jacket, I'm getting involved. It looks smooth!
What color shoes would you pair with it Nikoletta? I would go with a pair of checkerboard Vans ☺
Oooh, good question! It could work with so many combos. I'm thinking with heels.
You are my son's guitar hero! He's currently studying a music performance degree at uni....he's in his second year. He's a lead guitarist but, also plays keyboards, bass and drums
30 grand of debt to fuck about on guitar for 3 years 🫡
@@harry53831well you just killed that one
No such thing as a "lead" guitarist 🎸 only "guitarist". EVH and Hendrix were exceptionally talented in all aspects of guitar
@@Stewartchampion😅
@@harry53831 .....not exactly - he's written a couple of albums - turns out, he's quite a talented song writer. I don't know if his autism and ADHD helps him write...
I learn more about guitar watching these videos than I ever did taking lessons
Really enjoying this new one! What a chorus!
Love your channel
🤘🏻🔥🖤🔥🤘🏻
Love these Justin
Brill video, enjoyed that a lot. thanks Justin
"If you travel ages, cool" made me smile when i first heard it too. Fun lyrics.

So subtle and straight faced. Comedy gold.
Four words : 'Love Spreads' and 'Good Times'
Squire is a legend.
We know who the talent is here ☺️
Glad you mentioned “Good Times” , I know it doesn’t get the love of the first Roses album, but I loved “Second Coming” when it came out and still do.
Same here, I still listen to it often.
Those two tracks I mentioned for the guitar in particular.
That was five words.
@@felina7849 ☺️
@@RosieHarp you forgot Tears, man. How can you not include Tears??
That riff sounds like I Feel Fine
That little riff in the chorus sounds like the riff from the Byrds "Feel A Whole Lot Better"
Squier guitar on the stone roses ep:s are legend........also loved his sea horses album.....specialy the ailen thing
ailen?
it’s “Squire” not “Squier”
Love your videos 😊
Thumbs up for this excellent collaboration
Clapton and The Beatles are two of my favorites, so I really liked that. One more for the playlist. Thanks much!!!
Your Jeremy is a belter aswell
Love the podcast. Im a poor guitarist but always been obsessed with the writing of music . I love hearing you break stuff down.
I just came to say I just watched Welcome to the Darkness. I thought it was excellent, and I couldn’t take my eyes away.
I saw you guys in Orlando in 2004, Hard Rock Live, my cousin and I got covered in your sweat when you came by on the guys shoulders. 😅
Anyway…watching that film made me dive back into your music. So thank you for the great tunes.
I can hear some influence of Electric Light Orchestra's 10528 Overture. Anybody else can hear it?
Love you justin❤❤❤from Canada 🍁
Justin is incredible at picking up sounds or chords. But he was in 'The Darkness.' They had 2 good songs. Not even great. He's an incredibly good guy from what I have watched, but he should become a radio host or DJ. I only really came to this conclusion when he commented on MGMT. And I really do like the guy
5:55 sounds like 🎶"If I needed someone to love..."🎶 by The Beatles.
Check out 'Lover's Rock' - The Clash
@@ddrkosmo1725 Oh yeah! You're right... That's why it was ringing a bell. :0)
The chorus is basically Here comes the sun
Travellator is also another name for the long flat escalators/"people movers" in airports
Looking forward to seeing them in Kentish Town. I remember that song from the Seahorses album they did together that was pretty good, hope they toss that into the set too.
I think John is a superb songwriter. Absolute genius!
That tune you played at 5.55 reminded me of Stereophonics ‘same size feet’ about 2 minutes in. Noel also lifted the tune and thanked Kelly Jones & used it for the Hindu Times iirc 🤔
Stereophonics is amazing
Intro guitar riff is from Mick Jones, from The Clash
Justin!! I had to go back to watch I believe in a thing called love, I'm 52 now and really I still love it, I'm a tool, qotsa, fugazi type of woman, that song...the vid.....magic stuff e hoa 🥰
Interesting how it brings to mind so many different bands from different decades for different people.
Mega Beatlesy as you say, but the very second I heard that intro riff I thought, 'Ah, that's 'Rock And Roll' by The Velvet Underground.'
Nice suit Mr.Hawkins, you can really pull that colour off👍
Can you please put the link of the original content in your pinned comments or description ?
For saying that about Hull I demand you come here and play a gig at the arena!
What about LA’s !!
@@ianmcphee5650 Adelphi
The microphone is always directly in front of your left hand on the guitar.
I remember when radio1 was premiering the single 'Love spreads' from the 2nd coming of the Roses, it had been 5 years. I was in a park having a kick around with the lads on a summer evening drinking cider and smoking spliffs,.... me and my friend returned to the car at 6:55 just to hear it.
Liam's best track since Oasis was the unremembered Scorpio Rising with Death in Vegas. Please add to your playlist if reading this.

Scorpio Rising is a proper tune. Big smiles. Putting it on right now.
nice one ya mad lad, pump it loud@@gonkipig7668
second chord is a Gsus4 is it not? squire is a very special Gtr player. his melody writing is fantastic.
G7
@@paulburner3817 sus4. same chord in bye bye badman.
Another great tune 🎉❤
love the tune man
Justin Hawkins is a legend
Sure
Okay Simp
A great guy 🤙🏻
A legend of what? Jesus…
@@TheIdontcare444No, but he is a very naughty boy!
Reminds me of The Byrds in places
Justin and Bro are rock legends, excellent musicians and lovely genuinely nice lads 🤘
This collaboration ❤
Beady Eye, and Liam's solo stuff have done nothing for me, whereas Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have been stellar in my opinion. But, BUT this collaboration with John Squire has really impressed me! Loving it so far! It's like Liam needs a real foil to get the best out of him, whether its was Noel, or now John.
Justin Hawkins , love your reviews and love this collaboration and lucky to bag a ticket to see them…
Your musically talented …have you ever thought about a collaboration, why not?
Tomorrow Never Knows? Some of the chords definitely, it has that vibe.. I like the sound of this, I've always liked Liam Gallagher, so yes, thumbs up from me, thank you Justin, excellent analyses as usual.
Travelator is the moving sidewalk in the airport too! But yeah American gladiators put it on an incline so you'd be running uphill against the flow, instead of with it.
Riff reminds me of Lover's Rock by the Clash
This makes me crave an acoustic version of this song
Love your videos
Much better lyrics than the first single, that's for sure!
Could they have been any worse? That was atrocious. I heard someone refer to it as AI writing an oasis song
@@kerntallett1976just another rainbow is a way better tune
@@carlt9265JAR Lyrics Are absolutely terrible. It’s got a good few guitar riffs from John as expected but C’mon the lyrics are like a child’s nursery rhyme man. ✌️👍✌️
Idris Elba getting a shout out in the first verse is all I heard the first few listens. Epic summertime tune.
Would love a Gallagher, Squire and Hawkins supergroup.
what would Liam do? play tambourine while Justin sings his arse off?
Gallagher? From the smashing pumpkin physical humor bit?
LOckjaw & the Brown Bettys
Liam would do the swaggering.
Nice to hear some octaval* changes to Liams voice, dont get me wrong i loved Oasis back in the day 😮 but this is great to hear, a bit of effort like music finally touched his soul instead of being bored by it.
* may have made that word up but you get the drift.
Can you do one for our music video "delete, repackage, ship on time" by The Micawbers. Im from norwich so could do with a lil publicity bump 😂
Justin’s reviews are excellent - honest , accurate no musical snobbery ! Love this - Liam harmonizing with self - I hear bit of cast , the Beatles mock turtles something reminds me of beach boys somehow - obviously roses and oasis and as a massive Clapton and blues fan the solos. excellent review yet again
U should listen to some of the seahorses, john squire is brilliant on those albums
I'm so curious...why did you tune your acoustic down a half step? I noticed it straight away, the theme song sounds different.
It's funny I hear little snippets of 'Here comes the sun', 'Baker Street', 'Sympathy for the Devil' and a whole bunch of other stuff I'm still trying to place but man I'm just so excited that these two guys have got together creatively and each complements the other's talents. They were literally made to play together. Great to see Liam getting outside his comfort zone and keeping shit together.
"outside his comfort zone"? This could be an Oasis track.
@@dang2443 more the seahorses mate, definitely a squire one more then oasis or LG
Liam and John have are a match made in heaven.Loved the seahorses album.
I've got tickets for the barras 🕺😊
I love John Squire. His guitar playing makes all the difference in this song, which again still sounds to me like they've basically lifted random two measure sections from Beatle's songs and made a song out of them. It's an ok song. My "brother in law" is from Hull. I believe I've heard him say "Dull as Hull" himself. Did you and The Hoff have a falling out? It seems he's keeping his distance. Hellooo Fuzzy Mae!
As someone who lived in Hull for over a decade i'm happy to explain that the the saying is "It's never dull in 'Ull" (note the absence of the letter H which is very important).. there's even T shirts with it on and other such memorabilia such as postcodes, fridge magnets and badges bearing the slogan form the Kingston Upon Hull tourist board. 100% true story and you may Google this to verify if you so wish.
@@909mrwill I think I will get him fridge magnets and a T shirt. Thanks for the info about Ull! I trust you as a former Uller.
Coming from Liverrrrpool, John squire is such a happy soul😊
Lovely stuff
What ive always like on those britpopish tunes is wheres the bass sits. Sounds huge. Pretty cool imho
would you do a reaction video to the album?
Justin, I'm always so impressed at how you can figure out what's being played and how so quickly. Also, that jacket is GLAMOUR UNLIMITED!
Most guitarists could, it’s all standard stuff really. I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years so wouldn’t take me that long to get this down 😊
@@dave-jk6en ^This. Make no mistake, I'm throwing absolutely no shade on Justin here, but play the guitar for a year and you can figure out most things on the fly.
@@anneominous7172 yeah you could certainly work out a lot of stuff, even playing for a year. Just depends how much time you put into it. A lot of people just learn the basic open chords, so they can strum Wonderwall etc. So they wouldn’t necessarily know scales and music theory, just chord shapes.
it’s seriously not that hard. particularly anything Liam sings on… you knows it’s gonna be 3-4 basic chords
Yes definitely getting the beatles influence there
Who cares if it's generic, it sounds awesome..... 😊
Some old school Police next please..... something raw from either of the first 2 albums 😎
It sounds like here comes the sun
Nice lyrics, like the guitar too. Very nice jacket Justin.
Pleasantly surprised! 🙂ETA: I have to clarify, not by Liam... by this video turning up 20 minutes later than usual, just when I thought there wouldn't be one 🙂
John squire wrote it
Interesting review
up there with the good oasis/stone roses tunes
This song is very reminiscent of Squires "Seahorses" stuff. Absolutely love it.
Maybe you could do a long form with Softy and sneak a cheeky guitar tune in there 🤣
There's definitely an undercurrent of "I feel fine" by The Beatles in that song
I would love to see you talk about Killswitch engage - this fire burns. It's not your usual type of music but it's a great heavy metal song, with an amazing vocalist in Howard Jones, currently singing for light the torch.
How no mention of Lover's Rock??
