As a fellow introvert, Liam is the type of friend we love cos he knows to riff and take the lead and get through these encounters - protects and doesn't judge your mate for not being talkative.
"Theres some sheep there but I'm hands off" 😂😂😂
Classic deadpan John Squire.❤
It's just boring.
Liam deserves more respect. One of the most success artists in Britain and just releasing a new album yet all journalists ever ask him is 'have you spoken to Noel?' and 'gotta ask but is Oasis getting back together?' .... Yawn it's a bit if an insult when you are trying to get on with your life and do something else
Answer is always 'no' but it doesn't matter. Liam has a lot of patience
Jonathon Ross has always been a c@ck
John squire has always been like this. I genuinely don’t think he’s got anything to say he just likes making art and music. I can’t recall him ever being rude he’s just incredibly reserved.
Basically simply in the words of shaun ryder turn it up i like that
Well why be there it's a interview good job he's not on his own
@@raymondvaughan6262 they are promoting the music, is he supposed to suppress how he is? it makes for a terrible interview I agree but squire is not driven by fame etc as someone else has said he does his talking on the guitar
john is effortlessly funny😂
Fucking hell if you think that’s funny. What a world you must live in
Squire, bless him, does his talking on the pitch
Like pulling blood from a stone trying to get John to talk 😂
Ok. But saying that...isn't that your own fault for tryina "pull blood" from said stone....lol. John certainly makes journalists/interviewers seem off their game..he loves it 😂
And he don’t give a shite!
My Grandmother used to say that if you have nothing to say, then,
Ian brown said he always had a problem with eye contact aswell, very possible he’s got undiagnosed mild autism, people including Ian again said he was cold , he’s very monotone , or he could just be shy
Let the music do the talkin
It's weird how Liam has started looking and talking more like Ian Brown since working with John 😂
Squire has always interviewed like this, pure class, probably dragged onto the couch
Glad to see John hasn't changed. Man of few words but let's his guitar say everything. Outstanding collaboration great album.
this is the Liam that Noel wanted in Oasis
I think Noel's ego was a massive part of why oasis split up. He's always been very talented but also very arrogant
John Squire looks more like 31 than 61! Aged ridiculously well.....
Also looks like he's really enjoying doing that to Jonathan Ross. He's all smiles and laughing and inviting the engagement and then just leaves him hanging every time, lol!
Spot on assessment and yes he still looks in his 30's.
I feel Liam's energy soo natural, very comfortable, not trying to sound cool or arrogant. Maybe John has been a good companion for him these days
John Squire is a legend
As a working class chap I think these lads are a great inspiration. John hates interviews and who cares . I’m more concerned about their talent as musicians
Love John Squire i
Couldn't agree more.
Thank you so much for posting this!
People get over it. People are people, John hates interviews and gets nervous when he has to do them that's why its rare you ever see him doing them. Liam was class as usual.
When Liam was younger, in interviews he said enough. Didn't flower it up, Didn't need to.
However John is the master! You ask a question, and you get the answer 🤷♂️.
What's not to like? 2 top geezers IMO 👍✔️
John squire has never been into all this interviews stuff but u can't blame John he's always just been a matter of fact about his talent like 1 word answers 👍 it's not owt new lol they were same in roses
The smartest man in the room says the least. I love John.
Not if you where in conversation with him bad manners
I think that’s the first time I’ve heard John talk.
That bloke, Squire is an ace on the axe
"I found out much later". -- John's longer line in the whole interview. 👏😂👊
the sheep one was longer
This must be so alien for poor old John.
Man of few words great paintings honest geezer . Should people have to say more than they don't need to
I don't think words are John's thing. His lyrics show that too.
Their charismatic gloom is great
John squire non chalant as described in the John squire manual. Does his talking with his guitar, songwriting and paint brush 🔝
In comparison to past interviews, Liam looked quite at ease. He seems happier with himself than he's been in a while. John's always been a quiet dude, so no surprise there. Props to Ross for pushing through and getting them to open up a bit. Good questions.
I love guests that go on talk shows.....and don't talk 🤣
@MADCHESTER1989 haha you're not wrong 🤣🤣🤣
John is not an easy interviewee. None of the Roses were.
Mani don’t shut up 😅
Ian does a good bit of talking. If you followed his solo stuff and interviews
@Strog, @grsl - I'm not saying they dont talk and I dont mean it as a negative thing. They are true artists and are cynical about even having to do interviews and "play the fame game". They are super intelligent too, so they'll often get irritated when they're asked a vapid or stupid question. That famous E4 clip where Ian almost sparked out that dickhead Steve Jones was absolute GOLD.
@@_boracic_atreus_23 agree. Ian been smoking to much weed I recon. Para trip thinking Steve was taking the piss. I dident think he was.
Why are people getting so vehemently angry at Liam and John not saying a lot when being asked about what pets they have? Who cares honestly?
Jordan
This interview was hilarious 🤣 my husband and I were cringing and laughing….
Imagine being personally offended by John Squire's lack of extroversion. 🤣💀 People on this thread, man. I don't know.
Poor john, the reason he was there was probably because he was contracted to, to promote the album.
Liam saying the blonde lad is dressed like a tour magician...😂
John's kool ..he doesn't have to say anything. .
Wonderful couple
Some guitarist but John has the charisma of a wet rag.
Liam looks healthier than ever
Most relaxed he’s looked in years , think he’s stopped doing gear before interviews
looks like he's had a bit of a nip and tuck done round the eyes.
@@versioncity1 and quite obviously a hair transplant as he was going bald years ago.
Liam ti voglio con tuo fratello....❤❤
Great album .
John never shuts up
I know right, like jeeez, put a sock in it a mate.
Asking questions about Noel/Oasis is very tedious at this point
Such hard work to interview them!
Album sure is a grower, give it a few spins, might brighten up your day
'Relax,Im not your brother.' 😄😄😄😄
I can't believe old zebra teeth got to meet liam and john XD definitely the highlight of his career
John has always been quiet he talks wae the guitar
He's not quite just don't care bad manners
I do like that kind of shady cynicism thing, it's such a northern characteristic and it is funny. And it's not trying to be cool. It's just being cold. 😆
He seems very shy, but it comes across more like an attitude. Thankfully Liam has humour & is funny to improve the interview chat.
You’d get more chat out of someone at a bus stop
There's not an audience at a bus stop
@@russ8985 exactly
Ross has more slap on than Kim Kardashian, they must be trowling it on him in the makeup chair, along with a full tin of kiwi boot polish in that hair.
If nothing else, my biggest and favourite take away from this whole thing is despite all the fame, as you get older it is the simpler things in life that bring you the most joy.
this makes me want to watch john squire interviews
i hope he does that sexy lip thing again
liams a good interviewee on his own but that was hard going
Whatever John squire does, I will always dig it
Get your shovel
John reminds me of frank skinner with a black wig
hahaha, i cannot unsee this now. Too true.
Quality ..I couldn't figure it out...kinda talks like him too ..just less words
I'm seeing Myra Hindley myself.
John Squire with the personality of a spoon but makes it funnier
He’s the life and soul isn’t he.
United and city Come together
Jonathan Ross needs to raise his game. Ask stupid questions, you'll get stupid answers. John is very introverted but what's wrong with that. He's cool as fuck, you've just got to do some proper prep (for once, rather than give it the I've read your book, I've heard the album and love it 😴) and ask something that's actually going to stimulate his mind a bit. In addition, to ask once again about Noel is fucking boring....
John should not be doing the press, i feel uncomfortable just watching this. Liam forever a star.
I've seen him come across well in other interviews. It depends on the types of questions.
I wish John would pipe down, Liam couldn't get a word in edgeways!
😂
I love Oasis and The Stone Roses and was so excited about this, but its pretty dull
John finally got to #1, first of The Stone Roses to do so
Ian Brown’s solo career is far superior (and more original) than anything JS did outside The Roses.
@@lucasm3879 and yet somehow, he never made it to #1. I'm not saying that charting is a reflection of quality, but rather pointing out that a member of the Roses finally got there.
It's crazy that neither the band nor any of their post-Roses projects ever made it to #1 on the single or album charts until 35 years after the debut.
@@vanishing_girl
Yeah fair point. Like you say it’s not really a mark of true greatness though, especially when bands like Shed Seven have recently had one! Ian Brown’s solo career, especially up to his greatest hits in 2005 was superb, really original, forward facing music. I’m a big fan of Squire’s work with the Roses, especially the pre Second Coming era, but outside of that he’s been a bit retro and uninspired for me.
There is God and there is the peaky blinders plus the stone fukin roses and oasis happy Mondays Rkid lucky boro fc liveforever 🎉
What?
Damn Liam is looking good 😍
Liam said it in jest about spending a lot of time at the pub after Oasis split up, but deep down Liam was really hurting and sad and probably angry about the whole thing and how it ended
i didnt pay much attn to oasis in their day & now with the youtube platform blasting all things connected to your interests at you, i started following the gallager's story, like lots of other young aged success stories, can be fascinating. my knee jerk reaction to Liams antics were unsavory at best. but ive come to admire his ability to look in the mirror, self-evaluate & make what changes to himself he & probably loads of others felt he needed to make. im guessing that can be extremely difficult & lots of us, in his shoes, would be far worse, as oasis's lead singer & as noels brother. i've had lots of huge asshole moments in my life, add loads of success at the age he was at? it would be huge asshole x 45,654. 🤨
ill take the cash, keep the fame.
Good on Liam, i hope he keeps swinging, his solo stuff is as good, if not better. anybody can be a "rockstar", 'tis much better to be the song smith he's become. & think about this too, if he had'nt played his part, in, im guessing regrettably, in the destruction of oasis, he may never have been able to get where he's at..
Looks like Frank Skinner in a wig
So true. Lmao😂
1.22 you can see Liam biting his tongue 🙈
Father stone from father ted excuse the pun "stone" 😂
Squire legend. I'm so happy he is making beautiful music again.
i used to think Ross was such a massive bell end many many years ago, and i remember Noel Gallagher, then with Oasis on his show, calling him a "Southern Wanker"....and many many years later, tuning in to watch Liam and John, i was surprised to find Ross is still a a massive bell end...
It might be number one but the album is a bag of sunshiiiiiiiite
It's not that bad. It's just alright. Its safe but grovey
@@anony-mousse8487I've listened to it a few times now definitely a grower
It’s utterly boring, predictable and feels like two middle aged men who are still mentally trapped as 14 year old children.
Also, I can’t stand Liams voice on it.
Noel Gallagher Is ina different world when he speaks
Liams kool! His voice and attitudes what a good band needs!
Isn’t it weird how the older Liam gets the more like Noel he looks
it's like they are related or something.
Just because he’s wearing a leather jacket?
I imagine part of the awkwardness here is the fact that they got some guy they don't know on the end of the couch chiming in about Stuff.
Liams had work done. Work of the face type.
It’s his looks that are partly responsible for him making it in music in the first place (he has got a good voice though) so I wouldn’t be surprised.
He’s got one of those ridiculously bullet proof hairlines though, I don’t think he’s ever needed help with that!
Liam with squire this is amazing👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How can they have a number 1 album.
When no one’s heard a song off it🤯
THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE REASON WE STARTED OUR BAND..........SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!!
私は
どちらかと言うと
変人が好きな傾向であります🎸👍❤🎉
How does Liam look so fecking good at 51 ? He’s still as cool as ever without even trying .
he lives clean now
Liam definitely has had some work done on his face...Looks tight and drawn..
It's the beard that makes him look sexy IMO
They’re both very talented, didn’t like the first album they produced that much, but I bet they write something great if they stay together.
John never shuts up does he? Let the others speak too mate.
"small magician"
John looks like Liam's pupil, with the long hair and the parka.
The question’s are there to always belittle someone on their show, that’s why they keep quiet.
On the other side of the coin, go to a concert and shout they were shit, and see what happens!
Ian brown with a beard
Man, Liam looks more and more like the smelly guy on the bus that talks to himself each year. 😂
I know the one you mean🤣
Love John’s parka. To be fair, he’s always been a bit tight-lipped with journalists and presenters. It’s like an “I don’t owe you anything, I’m the artist here. You’re lucky I showed up at all” attitude. I respect that. And yet the audience is laughing at almost every response. Top guy.
Either that or he is just someone who doesn't enjoy doing these things. He has never been a talker and Ross's questions were pretty pathetic.
@@snakedriverHis music speaks for itself.
@@snakedriverAlso I agree w you about the questions. The same pandering stuff since the dawn of television.
When john took me out on my 18th in 98 it was a top night. Top bloke
You get Staff n the pound shop with more manners
LG morphing into Rhod Gilbert
Dumb questions towards john tho. " Do you have a brother"
yeah but at least we found out he has a dog and a cat
0:10 Liam does an embarrassing wee clap, John refrains.. . .
Woss is pish tae ..Mon the simple minds flying high the now ..both Liam and Jim kerr shagged patsy ans she Kensit😂 think John was with another patsy...patsy kline up his snazzy beek..... John invented the iconic lemon 🍋 stops tear gas in Paris riots
John Squire is very funny, so dry. Liam also dead pan humour.
God that was hard work. Poor Beckett meeting his idols!! Lol
Idols , i rekon he liked oasis but bet he wasn’t that into the roses😂
