I was always a Radio 1 Top 40 listener for many years until around the mid 00s. I had a listen to the Network Chart Show on a few occasions but mostly preferred the Radio 1 Chart Show. I thought that they had the best jingles for their show as well. However, one thing I did like about the Network Chart Show was one of the adverts just before the Top 3 started. It was around a minute long and it was the middle of 3 adverts IIRC? It was an advert for Coca-Cola, with a piano and a girl singing a catchy song. I often switched over just to hear the girl singing and then switched back again when she finished the song. I always wondered who the girl was singing the song? I don't seem to be able to find any trace of the song or who the singer is anywhere.

Wanker band 1 vs wanker band 2 Tbh ive only listened to blur and their best songs arent even britpop. Rock, bossa nova, whatever genre The Universal is. Oasis cant sing and they proved it. Wonderwall is kinda alright tbh, but i only know of it through Jay Z.

Great bands. Blur is technically superior but it doesn't matter when it comes to making great music, being more diverse musically doesn't mean being better. Oasis managed to make much more success even though they weren't as good technically, this is true greatness.

Their whole first album is magic. And this is the most magic of the tracks. From interviews I get the impression that the band itself reveres this track, like a sort of mystical gift that was bestowed on them.

I saw him and The Beach Boys in 2018. It was an incredible experience. They were doing a pet sounds tour. It was him, Al Jardine and the rest of them. They played everything so nicely, it sounded so great up close. Before the show, my dad and I were sitting in the car waiting to go into the theatre where they were playing, and I said we should see if we could get Brian’s autograph. We asked a nearby security guard, and while my dad began talking with him, Al Jardine walked out to his trailer nearby. We got to say hello shake hands and take a picture with him. I’ll never forget that.

True, Pete never improved and as John simply said Ringo made a better Beatle. But here's something that nobody has brought up. British bands did not want that "bum" group The Beatles in Hamburg because they were really bad. Without a drummer they couldn't go to Hamburg. Without Pete, The Beatles would not have improved and never have made the big time. Pete's a hero not a zero.
