I am so happy this movie lived up to the hype. Was so excited to see it since i saw the trailer last year. Wasn't expecting it to be "found footage" but thankful it scratched 3 of my horror itches with being a period piece, possession flick, and found footage. had they managed to tack on being an anthology i may have died from too much awesome. #MrWriggles

It just annoyed me that the authorities swore that the mother was some evil killer! That whole story of her going to call 911 because she "wanted to get caught" was ridiculous! Where did these detectives get their training? Toys R us? She said she found an injured woman! A WOMAN! Not a teen girl, teen boy, or a man! None of the victims were a woman. Did they consider that? It may seem insignificant but to me it would make me wonder. Also why would she want to tell on herself? Especially before she even committed a crime? That just makes it potentially more difficult to complete her crime. So now she is in prison for a crime she didn't commit, labeled an evil woman who killed innocent people and sll after she lost her entire family. Anyways i saw it as some type of antichrist, new world order, illuminati crap! She is a politician, she is obviously wealthy, her home was beautiful in her stupid commercial, she is sacrificing people to this demon to get what she wants! The money, power, and political position.

Welcome back guys, #Mrwriggles and I are happy to see you again. I got to see this in theatres and yeah, didn't trust that possessed girl for a second because she seemed possessed the whole time. Also didn't like the black and white bits that much because "and who was cameraman?!" kept popping into my head. I agree, Michael Ironside should have come back at the end. Otherwise I adore this movie, finally something to double feature with Ghostwatch!

The film really does feel like an old EC horror story in film form. I do agree that the ending is a little muddled, but overall I think it really worked. I also agree that the use of AI art in the film is disappointing, but the way it was used is so whatever that it doesn't detract from the film for me. #MrWriggles

#mrwriggles I love love love found footage films so when it broke the conceit at the end it frustrated me (I mean yeah the behind the scenes stuff was for sure a stretch but I could get passed it), but I still really loved the movie and I thought that the final moment was worth it. I was on edge/unsettled the entire time watching it

JoBlo Horror did a 50th Anniversary video for Kolchak the Night Stalker and David Dastmalchian did a long video chat with them in it about what the show meant to him. So yeah, he's a horror fan from his earliest days.

#MrWriggles, Truth be told I'm not going to watch the movie, it does look interesting but I can't get over the fact that they used two segments with AI generated images even though it was brief. As a person who knows artists and some writers, I don't know I feel like what they did was bullshit, when they could have just hired someone to do those two segments. Or hell they could have just bought some old Halloween cards, cut them out and just use that for the segments if they wanted to save money. When this gets on DVD/Blu-ray I hope they remove those two segments and replace it with either something made by an artist or just removed it all together.

The young girl who played the possessed girl was great. She has sweetness to her. Also had Manson follower vibe to her but yet you know there was something super evil in her

I was going to skip this one because I don’t really care for possession flicks. And the ‘70s aesthetic just struck me as more of the Conjuring trash I tend to avoid. However, your review has persuaded me to log into Shudder & give this a whirl. Thanks! #MrWriggles

No bears were hurt in the making of this movie, but there happen to be a #bearmaximum of cocaine that was used to make sure that the bear was energized and awake for his scenes in the movie.

Also to note here it would've been funny during the midst when the possessed girl is fucking shit up it they should've had a part in the movie where it would've cut to a white broadcast screen card or like a technicolor bar screen with like *"PLEASE STAND BY!!!"* with like some music playing over it and then it cuts back to the broadcast and the girl is like bound to the chair.

Hashtag mr. Wriggles. I saw it in theaters and I really liked it. The twist is telegraphed at the beginning, but the ride was super enjoyable. The Amazing Randy character was my favorite, too. One thing I'm not sure about is the audience. Were the costumed ones part of the cult, or were they just absorbed into the ritual at the end? There was another horror film in theaters about stop motion filming called Stopmotion. I'm wondering what you guys think of it before I watch it.

I copped Shudder just to watch this. Was hoping for something a little less subtle but overall it was a good movie.

The only complaint I have is this probably should have been released in October.

Y'know, this might be outside of the wheelhouse for the channel, but would you be interested in reviewing the musical "Nerdy Prudes must Die"? I feel like you would have a great time watching it.

With Michael Ironside involved, it feels fitting that the poster art depicts a figure with a burning head that reminds me of David Croningberg's 'Scanners' poster art. #MrWriggles

I loved this film! David Dastmalchian did a really great job. Actually every actor and actress did a great job, there were no bad parts. I loved the ending because everyone has a different interpretation about it, and you can sit and discuss it for hours afterwards. I love hearing about everyone's opinions. As for the AI I read that they had hired an artist who was experimenting with the use of AI and this is what they came up with? I can't find the link so don't take me at my word, it's just something that I had read.

Absolutely adored this film. Caught it in the theater and had a wonderful time. A real successor to Ghostwatch, in my opinion.

I saw this one too! I love this movie, and it really got me wanting more analog horror. David killed that performance, and the teenage girl. And yeah, it sucks that they used AI for transitional images, very much. But it really doesn't take away from the rest of the movie. Support artists! But please, do watch this movie regardless!

Welcome back, gentlemen. Late Night with the Devil is my horror movie of 2024 so far. David Dastmalchian does an excellent job in this film, where he carries this movie on his shoulders. While the ending is anticlimactic, the movie is an absolute banger. #MrWriggles

Ingrid Toreli is awesome in this movie. She is so creepy even when she isn’t in possessed mode. I want to see her play Raven in the new Teen Titans.

Easily my favorite horror movie in a long time. It was incredible, and I want to see David Dastmalchian as a lead in many more horror movies. He is brilliant!
