This is definitely my favorite horror film of 2023 thus far. I especially appreciated that the filmmakers didn’t hold our hands or have some exposition dump via Zoom call like some modern horror films have done. #TalkToTheHand
All the problems could have been solved if it went like this:

I don't know when people are going to learn that trying to talk to people on the other side almost never goes right in these possession movies.

Two very noble and wise terms that we should all take heed of when possible.
This movie makes me think of that old Beatles song I Wanna Hold Your Hand.
I worked with young new hires, and they act just like the kids in Talk to Me. When they asked how I liked it, I told them I liked it because it reminded me of them. Now, I need a replica of the hand to throw a Halloween party with it, lol.
So... the moral of the movie is that if Mia fucked around, she found out, and she paid for it. #TalkToTheHand

But I will say one argument I have heard from people not thinking Mia’s mom killed herself pointing out the detail of her death where she had blood under her fingernails. I wonder what’s the explanation for that? Still probably my favorite horror movie of 2023 so far
What is it about South Australia that churns out such terrifying things? You got The Babadook, Talk To Me, it's where the Snowtown murders happened... it's like Stephen King's Maine down under. #TalkToTheHand

I'm so glad I skipped the spoilers and saw it this weekend. I was pretty sure it was going to be a Grudge or Truth or Dare scenario where everyone who was there was going to be having visions and self-mutilating so it was a happy surprise seeing how it actually went. Maybe it's because I also recently lost my mom and have lost 6 other very very close family members since 2018, but I fucking loved this movie. I think it could have actually been Mia's mom when speaking through Riley, but agree that the rest were just manipulation. And tell Jack that I'll try to contribute more on Patreon while I #TalkToTheHand

Dude, this movie was fucking outstanding. I saw it with one of my roommates and we both left the theater physically clammy. Oddly enough, “Talk to the Hand” is the punny subtitle I already picked out for my review. Sick minds think alike! #TalktotheHand
I really dug this movie. I wasn’t sure I even wanted to see it because the trailer seemed kind of lame to me; turns out, the trailer was lame because they saved the best for the actual film, which I appreciated.

This was indeed a fresh take on the possession formular and a good alternative to Barbenheimer.
It helped that this was the best packed audience since Sinister. Quite, no phones ringing, wild at the foot scene

I can't believe that I predicted the twist ending just from the advert. Maybe it's that I love Tales.
The creators included music from Sadistik. They said they listened to his music a lot when they were making the movie.
You should really check him out. The dudes music references horror in ways that I haven’t heard hardly anyone else. Super dark and atmospheric, with lots of interesting lyrics and introspection.
Listen to “Yokai”, I know you’ll pick up all the references. It’s like high-brow horror core at times.
