The Cuddle Puddle was just basically the Shunting with Acid Rain... But mostly the same amount of rich elites
mark hamill was great in this too. was not expecting this series to be so good on all levels.
Pausing one minute cause the description alone makes the bibliophile in me filled with anticipation. I'm definitely going to have to move this up my watch list
This wasn't only an adaptation of the title story; it was practically the creation of an entire fictional universe from the entire works of Edgar Allen Poe, and that's great. Names and concepts from Poe's stories appear throughout for fans to pick up on, with even Arthur Gordon Pym making an appearance (played by Skips from Regular Show no less.)
This series will probably annoy literary purists among Poe fandom. It takes the original story, which brooded over issues of heredity, destiny and free will, and adapts it as a Faustian satire about late Capitalism and the postmodern super rich. It has a clear message, which is great, even if not every bit of the 'Poe-verse' quite works on its own merit. The use of Poe's poetry is also a nice touch. #Igotmine
Yessss! I been waiting for you to do this one! I’m off today! Gonna have a tokey and chill with you guys! ❤😊
#I'vegotmine
I fuckin loved this series! So expertly done, and the nods to Poe's works were brilliantly done and made work so well in a modern setting.
The visual of the bodies raining down was incredible; especially since they continued to pile up as he watched them. All through the scene, the city scape becomes flooded with corpses.
The chilling realization as well that the AI based on Lenore has been texting Roderick the whole time, but it is stuck on only one word... And Victorine's "Because it's pumping a dead heart..." Before slicing herself open... Absolutely chilling and I loved it. My favorite, on par with Midnight Mass. Perfection.
I really loved this show ^^ Not really scary, but brutal as fuck! Verna was my absolute favourite ^^ loved how she kept leaving crumbs and clues messing with Rodrick's sanity, pushing him even farther to the edge than the disease he had inherited from his mother #IGotMine
Loved this series. I busted out laughing when Verna referred to a "client" of hers that could shoot someone on 5th Ave. lol!!!
This is my #1 show of the year. I loved every bit of it
Been a while since I've come to see a Blood Splattered Vlog, but was really excited for this one. I love Edgar Allen Poe and am now really excited to check this series out! Great vlog guys, hope to see more of your stuff soon! #IGotMine
My dumb ass realized on the final episode that Verna is an anagram of "raven". Good stuff. #IGotMine
#iGotMine
I like Flanagan's work in general, but I completely ADORED this series.
Also, I feel dense because I just realized Verna is an anagram of Raven. 🙃
Loved this series, and I think I got to enjoy it more since I was more familiar with Poe. Glad you guys had fun too.
#IGotMine
I was so hoping y'all would cover The Fall of the House of Usher, and I was not disappointed.
#IGOTMINE
You had me at poe
I'm really digging this series. I appreciate all the nods to Edgar Allen Poe each episode, but it ties all into a greater narrative.
But goddamn, why does Mike Flanagan Netflix show have to be 1 hour long if not all of the episodes, the same length issues I have with Stranger Things season 4. I haven't seen Midnight Mass because of the length.
I got mine and i saw this show it was good
You're right about how much this show just zooms by because I binged it the day it got released. I'm kind of sad to see Flanagan's series work come to an end (if it really is) on Netflix.
*Spoilers*
Also from watching the series I felt like Verna wasn't Death per se, with the way she got so involved and being able to see into people's futures and possibilities I saw her as Fortune or Fate. Also the way they referenced the Poe Toaster at the end was great. #IGotMine
AAAAH! You got me with that TW! #IGotMine
The Ushers were terrible but for some reason I still loved that family, even their lawyer. Some members I liked more than others, Victorine and Camille being my favorites..but I would love a series about the family and how they got to the point of The Fall Of The House Of Usher. I know we'll never get that series. Ah well, #IGotMine
Just finished watching the series and ... WOW! I'll tell friends about this one. #IGotMine
Will you do a review of Godzilla minus one?
If I can get Jack to go to the theater to see it, yes.
#IGotMine i we need to check out the miniseries
Telltale Heart sounds like a spin on Theranos / Elisabeth Holmes scam. Haven't watched the show yet
I didn't think of that but that's a great observation! You're probably right.
This series was so great. #IGotMine
#IGotMine is exactly the attitude I'd expect from someone who's staring down a bunch of angry monkeys.
#IGotMine
Mark Hamill was outstanding.
And talk about narcissistic parents… Jesus.
#Igotmine
It almost makes you hope Flanagan would make a prequel series about Pym's expedition that gets referred to throughout the series.
#igotmine this as probably my least favorite of flanagans netflix series, but that just goes to show you how incredible he is because this was still amazing
#IGOTMINE so now, EVERYBODY SING!
🎶But the cat came back
The very next day!
Oh the cat came back,
You thought he was a goner!
But the cat came back,
He just couldn't stay AAAAWAYYYYYYY
away away away away..... 🎶
#IGotMine
At least that monkey doesn´t have a gun.
Really gotta stop watching these reviews while I'm eating. Getting reminded of the Red Death episode really turned my stomach. Loved the series overall, though. Surprised you didn't talk about Mark Hamill as the family lawyer/fixer.

#IGOTMINE
#IGotMine and seen the house of usher fall beneath their feet.
*THERE WAS NO USHER THAT FALLS IN THE HOUSE SO THE TITLE IS A LIE!!!! WORST. SHOW. EVER!* 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 (I'm actually joking I don't hate this show before anyone else decided to attack me in the comments thinking I was being serious by saying this).
