Hello, I want to add information about getting and using the SE account key. My son and I have been playing since the NA PS2 release and have lived through the hell of account stealing. I haven't heard about accounts being stolen since SE released the keys. I'm not saying it can't happen, but it helps. IBasically, it is a two-factor authentication. 😊

I'd love to try it out! Just always aaahhhh concerned about the time commitment. I remember playing it back in the day, and I know I had to sink a ton of time into just getting groups together, traveling out there, etc. But I'm still tempted because the game was / is so good. It's funny to hear that SE said the whole "you think you do, but you don't" thing too. Even if they added the more reasonable explanation that it would make them raise prices because they'd have to maintain two different versions of the game. That said, whatever I end up choosing to do, I'm thrilled that new and old players alike are getting to experience that 75 level cap era FF XI. I think new-FF XI is great too, but classic XI was something super special and unique.

Amazing video and guide! Just for clarity, Everyone's Grudge seems to happen throughout the fight and isn't very scary if tonberry hate is wiped prior to pop. Everyone's Rancor is the move that seems to happen sub-40% or sub-20% that will effectively 1 shot a tank

When I counted the final phase bursts for our server-first clear, it was ~20. Probably 21 because the flickers come every 3 bursts.

One thing that may seem obvious but you failed to mention, is that the Tonberry Soveriegn takes 0-1 dmg from all sources during 'the walk'. It also seems to be immune to dispel and fairly resistant to Aspir (thanks, Frank XD).

Kwech once I have built my New PC and redownloaded the game. I’m seriously considering focusing 4 jobs and hopefully applying to your linkshell. My main job would be RDM, second main would be BRD, third main would be WAR, and then lastly THF. RDM and BRD and WAR was mainly so I could spam Merit parties. I could average 10k exp in 2.5 hours sometimes less than 2 hours if our chains reached 400

How come you guys don’t Zerg with Drk/nin wielding Kclubs? You can beat fafnir with 3brds 3drks & 1 RDM and 1WHM The time frame of fafnir dying is literally in 59 seconds if done right
