Literally the same thing that's been happening to 'Final' Fantasy since its inception
That is about as clear of a message of a game going fully into maintenance mode as I've ever seen.
I stop playing since 2017 but been thinking of coming back.. my account is gone.. have to start all over from level 1 if i do come back. I love FFXI!! Been playing from 2004 to 2017. Miss the game every day!! Thank you for the update!

I'm considering re subbing for a month of retail for the final story. I haven't done any TVR.
tVR is really cool from a lore perspective, and the good news is you don't have to wait 2 years and 9 months like we did

iirc the shield has a hyotoko face on it, it respresent lucky spirits or some shit from jap mythology, i may be wrong tho lol, they use them on celebrations

I didn't know about the ROE update. That must be why it's messed up a little bit. Some just have a period like this "." And some of them haven't been updated when I get spoils

Attempting to move to XIV, but man....that game is average.....
...Not bad by any means, but "Eh...okay.."
XI isn't going anywhere. XI has more players on the entire Bahamut server, than the majority of F2P games have.....
....Notwithstanding Bahamut is not the only, nor most populated server.
However, I dislike the content path they are taking.
I digged XI during the Besieged, Monstrosity, Abyssea, Campaign days.....those are relics of the past.
They really should have just held off from releasing ffxiv and just stuck with ffxi and update the graphics, maybe add a new race or something and keep it more alive, even still its an amazing game, re subbed like 2 months ago after not playing since 2011. Such a timeless game. They should eventually upgrade the graphics and bring it to life in more of a modern way.
@@IntensifyYourMindset Still mind boggling, how you kill off the most profitable FF game in the franchise...for a game that had to shutdown.....
SE has to hate XI, as many suspect because there is no explanation for this. Maybe it is a Konami situation.....Konami hates Metal gear, because it was made by Hideo, whom they also dislike.....lol.....
Maybe SE dislikes someone within that XI team? Shrugs....They were determined to sun-set XI.
@@monsutaman1 Thats what Im saying, they have to dislike the game but why keep it with such little players unless theres over a million people still subbed to the game just have never un subbed.... Instead of FFXIV, all they needed to do was this, make the signup process A LOT more user friendly as well as the launcher and all go with more of a simple approach rather than feeling like you're logging into a damn mainframe lol, update the graphics, possibly add a new race or something, and thats really it
@@IntensifyYourMindset I'm down for an ease of access launcher, as well as new races. Personally, I feel we should be able to play as youth versions of races, since we have a youth trust who gets hit, bleeds purple, can use emotes on, etc......
