I have an MTB and a Cross bike that came setup with tubeless. It was great until the first puncture. The sealant went everywhere, everything sticks to the sealant, dirt, grass etc. Both bikes had to go to the LBS to have punctures fixed🤦‍♀️ I’m back using tubes and will never go with tubeless again.

Even expensive older hubs, ive still got couple old speshes xtr groupset etc, my 07 stumpys got hope wheelset etx it was highly upgraded back in the day and fast, went out on it the otherday jesus chaun took like quarter peddle to get going, it was hard going took me like an hour to do 11 miles( tractorctracks feilds) bigger wheels make a bigger difference. I bet a budget 29er would be easier going and tighter on the gears

Im quite yoing (almost in mid 40) but working as construction carpenter for 20 years most of it abroad so long hours each day in various climates and whether i do feel that in 2-3 years i will need an emtb bike also i do wait for manufacturers to decide in general for one charging standard.

Personally im not into anything electric on my ride accept my fitbit on my arm. I respect the tech and understand the ebike thing, but riding is fun fitness so im all about the mechanics and maintenance, knowing and changing everything that is going on using my brain.

Where did you get that fork? I can't find strait steer 26 inch forks with 180mm of travel or more to save my life. I ride a 2009 Specialized Hardrock. 26 inch I put tubeless tires and rims on it, box one drivetrain with the exception of the box 3 hollow forged crank that's for a BMX but fits perfectly on this older mountain bike and is much more rigid/ structurally integrable than Shimano or Shram MTB cranks. ( I'm 6 foot 4 240lbs so I need the strongest parts I can get) Converted to 9 speed from 27 Put 2 piston hydraulic disc breaks on, thinking of converting to 4 piston. Its pretty much modernized, If only I could find a strait steer fox or rock shock air fork with 180mm of travel or more and lockout that works for 26 inch rims it would be my perfect dream bike.
