c8 drivetrain thing is gunna be faster than an actual 600lt

I hope some other company makes a real multi material printer as well, cause the price of the 5 tool Prusa XL is insane compared to other printers. If Bambu or some other Chinese company made one it would probably cost less than half as much.

Can you explain to me why Nozzle 1 crashes into Nozzle 2 when Nozzle 2 is selected and I switch to Nozzle 1 in the main menu?

FDM is too slow. I'll stick with my Resin printer.

What if I want custom chocolate blends?

They should probably run some of the glass through a mass spectrometer. If they're recycling any glass which happens to have heavy metals in it, it'd be a good idea for them to know beforehand so that they can take appropriate precautions. Radioactive glass is also a thing.

Anyone in the comments know for sure if the MK4 with the MMU3 attachment will still fit in the enclosure? I've seen a couple of posts from people that say it does fit with a little bit of love, but no pics or concrete proof.

"19:11" It's a weak argument and Prusa XL is absolutely overpriced! Being "the only one the exists" may allow you, to overcharge but DOES NOT make it worth it! It's too expensive for most hobbyists and without enclosure is too limiting for a company! Bear in mind, that when the enclosure for XL is ready it will cost north of 500 euro, which will make a single tool XL EUR 2600!!! That's just ridiculous!

Honestly i know that if doctors used this they would use a more high tech scanning software but after using one, they are not that accurate.

I love how the models are well known, tuned models. Because not everyone will print those constantly and have no issues. A lot of people will print other models. But that's just on that. Micro Swiss is awesome

Fiber lasers are much better for marking brass, as you don’t need the spray on coating. In addition, fiber lasers can make colours on brass, such as white, yellow, purple, orange, blue, brown and black.

Very cool. These kinds of projects are always ones that bring smiles to people's face. But the one thing that came to mind... "I put some electrical tape on the tube so I can wave it around like a maniac, I mean..." I had a teacher that showed up and proudly showed myself and classmates his new phone... a just released iPhone 3G. And with this new thing called the "App Store", he downloaded the most advanced apps that ever graced our mortal hands: the fart button and the light saber. Tap the touchscreen and "wooowow" and the light saber came on. Tap again "voooop". Double tap and the color changed. And if you swing it around... yea, that's the stuff. But unlike your electrical tape to hold the tube on, my teacher had nice leather case for his new phone. So he shook it around a bit to to make the light saber sounds when suddenly... the button gave. "WOOOWOWOWOWOOWWOwowowoowowowowo......." as the brand new iPhone that had people lined up around blocks to get... went flying off in a mathematically perfect ark across the room and into the cinder block wall the school was made of. So good option on the electrical tape to hold things secure. As for my teacher's phone, he was lucky. Not only were phones less fragile then, but it landed on some old circuit boards, producing a kindof trampoline that broke the phone's fall. Back in the case and no more wild shaking with the app. Fart app it is. Keeping WOOOOWOWOWOWOWO awesome.

The electronics in this seem massively over complicated. You could have saved a lot of work by using an Adafruit Propmaker RP2040. It has audio and neopixel support, motion sensor and battery charging all on a single board.

As cool as this is, there is no way this is structurally safe. This is like when you see these videos of Russians fixed completely luxury cars with a bent frame, they recover the looks but the mechanical properties are long gone. I really hope he doesn't ever have an accident, because that won't be pretty. Not to mention the dynamic properties of the car, it will have asymetric stiffness and weight...

is it worth +4000$ ? Current day and age a +4000$ printer should not be a early adopter beta device you have to mess (mod) with to get it to working. That's what ENDER is for. The fact that a "XL SIZE" printer can't handle a 0.6 nozzle without problems is enough for me to steer clear. You say it yourself : "Most" of it's problems are sofware related ..... sig.

The dissolving function is excellent for impossible parts that usually can not be removed due to undercuts. I was wondering about that quick 10 minute print (what printer is that, that prints so quick) and secondly, if we don't need that dissolving function, but easy 1 or 2 part molds with no undercuts, can't this mold be used, over and over again? That would also be a game changer.

If you're ever going to drill or tap metal again, put it in a sturdy vise. For tapping, either use a hand tap being careful to apply even force (lateral force on the bit will snap it) or a drill press/cnc mill. As others have said, also use some lubricant, especially for hard metal like the high speed steel you were doing. Cutting aluminum and wood will let you get away with a lot that hard metals will not.

You may be able to slice the rest of the model and just print the top part. Sort of like a hat for your model. That doesn't fix the printer but it will fix your model.

Well.. I may be savvy enough to know that the automotive industry may be one of the 3DP movements biggest contributors.. 🎉
