Awesome! How have I only just seen this :D Love hanging out with you guys!
Sweet. Love the showcasing of new and exciting products and machines. Way to go Joel....high five!!!
I have seen a specialist skydiver and jet pilot fly: Yves Rossy, use a flying wing that he stood on the edge of a helicopter leg, with it strapped to his back, started those 4 jetpack engines, then leaned backwards and flew through the air with complete control then used a para-glider chute to land.
Then there was the Martin Jet pack that a New Zealand inventor tried to develop, but try as he did, the development costs and problems and commercial practicality caused it to be abandoned.
Seeing this similar concept, but employing multiple jetpack engines is a step forward. However, I think Matt is very wise to pass it on and suggest using it as a payload concept.
It's always just that 1 step forward to develop something a little bit better, that sometimes leads to 'cracking' the barrier to a functional product.
Thanks Joel for letting me re-live the Flash Gordon flying machine, advanced to the 21st century. Hope you enjoyed flying among the clouds!
You have to love the mind of Matt. Guys like this need backing because his active mind will clearly take us places in style.
Thanks :)
I love Matt! Genius! Those are some amazing projects! Wish I could have been there 😔
I totally read "w/Matt Damon" the first time around.
Nah, couldn't film with him - he was still on Mars
Way better than Matt Damon ;)
Love the jetpack idea, though it does summon memories of an old Popular Mechanic sketch of a guy in Asbestos Underwear.
Big shout out to @Lulzbot3D and @Polymaker for making these large scale 3D printed Lego Inspired projects possible!!!
Oh yeah that's really cool. Oh yeah that's really cool yep yep
Awesome
I love your videos and you inspired me to get a 3d printer of my one so I got a Creality ender 3 v2 neo
Man, I remember Matt's stuff back in the 20teens. Wanted one of the hexapods sooooo bad. 🤣🤣
Ha! nice :)
Should have got someone to distract him while you walk off with it. :-)
@Joel - Sorry this is off topic, but have you had any chance to have a proper look at Snapmaker's J1/J1S? Just wondering if you think it would be a good choice, especially at just over £1k?
I haven’t unfortunately
@@3DPrintingNerd Since asking I did try looking into it more, & ended up deciding against it in the end. Partly because a few people were less than impressed with Snapmaker's customer service, but also if I'm gonna shell out 4 figures I'd expect a bit more print volume. At half the on-offer price of just over £1k I might be tempted, but as is... nope.
Prusa's XL looks nice, except for it being a bit too L for me (overall size of the unit), & there being a bit of a wait time for orders.
I would not recommend doing a high five during flight
why has only Teaching tech mentioned Neomi Woo out of everybody who use to piggyback her name with shoutouts I heard Tippster Months ago talking about it. WTF
Makers muse mentioned also…told of the sadness
He is being pleasured on the cover
