When I was like 15, I remember being taken by my stepfather to do some light remodeling work with him at this. Really nice property and I Saw a sign above the person's garage that said clock meister. I said to my stepfather "oh my God I love clocks!" and the old man that we were working for that day came out and said "well if you like him that much how about you come in and take a look at what I've been working on" and I spent the next hour whilst my stepfather was working on his balcony. I just spent it in his garage, Checking out all the clocks. It was beautiful. I found something calming about the ticking from clocks all my life

Growing up without a dad I understand now at 35 how damaging it was, I'm not trying to criticize you but I know from experience two moms can't teach him how to grow up to be a good man, that's like me being the author of a book called what to expect from your period...... Two thoughts on this: 1) My mother has Spina Bifida and her doctors didn't find it until she was in her 40s! She spent her whole life with back pain and just kept getting told to lose weight and exercise more. 2) It's truly wild how many people either do not care about accessible bathrooms existing for a reason (e.g. the teenager that waltzed right into one ignoring the fact that I needed to use the ONLY changing table within two blocks and had been waiting for 10 minutes for someone else) OR care way too much and will try to police the use of them with complete strangers.

I love this so much for you! I saw my 5th grade teacher when I was in HS, at a football game. I was in AFJROTC, and standing cordon, and I took it very seriously, lol. I didn't think twice about breaking bearing and hugging her (*gasp* I was hugging, PDA, while in uniform, the horror, the undisciplined horror 😂😂😂). She didn't remember my name, for sure, but I think she saw in my face the love I had for her, and instantly recognized me as one of hers. It was a wonderful moment, and she made me feel little again, and happy, and safe. This 40 year old woman would absolutely plan a whole cookout for Ms. Carney, just to get to be with her again. You, and every other wonder teacher, make the world a better place, over the life of your students. Bless you, up one side and down the other, for the love you spread ❤

I love middle schoolers. One of my (many) favorite moments was in the middle school class I worked in. The school did mascot tickets for classroom stores - good behavior/making progress on learning or behavior goals earned you tickets that could be cashed in on fridays in the class store for small toys. One week one of our students hadn't earned enough tickets for the prize she wanted. Now, we were just going to set it aside for her to work for the next week, but before any adult could say anything, another girl goes "wait, can I have my tickets back?" Hands me her prize, and gives a ticket to the other girl. Not a second thought, she was willing to forgo the prize she had been off the walls excited about in order for a classmate to not feel left out. I awarded her a new ticket so she could still get her prize, because her act was so selfless, and her exact response was "but...I didn’t do it to get a ticket, I did it so [name] wouldn't be left out?" Kids are good, so long as you see the good in them, encourage it, and respect them.
