I am undiagnosed ADHD but my daughter has been picked up at school and in learning for her I think I do have it, also looked back at school reports and evidence is there, same as you it wasn't really picked up back then unless you destroyed classrooms. I spent an hour with a psychologist recently in preparation for an operation and her conclusion was I "possibly definitely have ADHD" it's worth looking into if only to have access to tips and tricks that could help in certain areas of your life. I watch how to ADHD
Thanks for the recommendation. I'm pretty sure I have ADHD, but it was never picked up because my grades were always good and that's what matters most here in Asia, people just assumed I was energetic and a troublemaker. Now I'm starting to realize that not being able to sit still and struggling so much to focus probably isn't normal for an adult. Anyway, I don't quite have the courage to see a doctor about it, so tips are definitely welcome!
I'm a teacher's aide in a special needs school and if I come home after a very tiring day, I watch Ur videos and I seem to perk up, especially when watching the videos about the "nosey teacher"....she cracks me up. I've known many teachers like that
I am so happy the CZcams gods dropped you into my feed. You crack me up! I was a gifted kid in the 1970’s and the gifted education teacher became good friends with my family. I still remember the IQ test I took-it was verbal. I was just answering questions and she made it so relaxing. The last question was how many feet in a yard. My little brain went crazy-“my feet are smaller than Daddy’s and our yard is bigger than my friend…how do I figure this out?” I burst into tears. She said I did great and sent me home. When I graduated from school, she gave me a yard stick. I gave her a bottle of gin because she always had a gin drink when she came over. Lots of love to Mrs Richards.
Hello from Newnan, GA! I believe I would have loved having you as a teacher. I absolutely loved school and my wonderful teachers hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the impact you have on your students year after year.
You are fantastic. I don’t typically comment on videos, but something about what you do, how you speak and your perspective is so comforting. Thank you for all you do
You (and your beautiful family) make me so deeply happy! I’m a 2nd grade teacher and a mom of 2 young adults. One in college and one about to graduate high school. I just love the carefree way you live your life ( at least what you allow us to share in) and the joy on the faces of your children. Keep spreading more HAPPY! So grateful!❤
Love what you do, keep up the good work, I love seeing the prank videos. I think you guys are amazing ,don't stop being who you are and keep spreading the love!
If you think you might have adhd, go to a neuropsychologist and get diagnosed! Adults can also be diagnosed with ADHD and autism, even though you always only really hear about “kids with adhd” or “kids with autism”. Getting diagnosed is awesome cus then you know yourself a lot better, you know your needs a lot better, and you can find ways to cope better and just be less anxious in general. It may also come with grief though, because you look back at your life and all your struggles and it seems like it all stemmed from your undiagnosed ADHD, and if you had known, you might have been able to prevent such hardship. But after that period of grief, you feel a lot better because now you have workplace accommodations and medications that help and you’re actually able to do more productive stuff during your day without breaking down or struggling with executive dysfunction.
I’m really curious as to how the “gifted” program works at your school. Can you do a video explaining the 1 day a week thing? When I was in preschool I was screened and classified as “gifted” and put in a separate class from k-8th grade but my classes were scheduled differently. I was blessed with a few really amazing teachers though; I can see how much you care about your students and send all my virtual application. 🖤 Edit: I’m turning 30 now and suspect two out of my four kids are gifted but their first elementary school didn’t have any gifted programs so I am sooooo curious about how students are taught nowadays.
My brother was told he was gifted when we were in elementary school and the way it worked is he went to my school every day. But on a certain day each week, he would also go by bus to a school for “gifted” and would be bussed back before dismissal. I am assuming that Ms. Chang is the person at the “gifted school” as we would call it. 😊
The unnecessary schedule ls to keep up with... Man I FELT THAT IN MY SOUL! Tell me why MTW is one bell schedule, Thursday us a different bell schedule and Fri IS a whole ass other bell schedule. ... Also any time we have other activities or drills... it's a completely different bell schedule. Oh I also forgot testing/ finals schedules. 😂😂😂
Oh you *absolutely* have ADHD. Thats not a bad thing, my favorite teacher in all of school also had ADHD. Literally the only teacher i remember who genuinely cared and had a positive impact on my life, my 3rd grade homeroom/English/language arts teacher. I think, at least. Growing up undiagnosed for so many things, the fact that she just kinda... Got me, ya know? And knew how to get me to learn and be interested in the class? The only other class i was ever interested in was science and that was my special interest, so to get me equally as invested in English, a class i hated before and since, was amazing.
You are an exceptionallyl fresh funny bone tickler/beautiful human 😜💖 Much love to you and your beautiful family!! So grateful for your gift of humor!!!
I was the kid who got diagnosed in 1975 with "hyperactivity." I was on so many diets til my mom just gave up! At least it wasn't experimental meds lol!
I was in a gifted education program in elementary, and I gotta say- best day of the week. You seem so fun and the kids are so lucky to have you as their gifted teacher! I am also from ATL, so you mind me asking, what school do you teach at? Love your videos!
I was just going to ask you if you have ADHD right before you said "People always ask me if I have ADD or ADHD". I have it and you mention several of the traits in passing.
Let's take a moment to appreciate that pause when she had to stop to think about if she had lunch duty or not. 🤣😂
