I had a kitty who lived to 19 1/2. He was A total sweety muffin, and I was pretty sure not too bright. Then my Mother, who had to spend a long time in our bathroom right next to my computer room door, entertained herself and him, by teaching him to clearly and concisely say HELLO! (He was around 13 by then). I spend a great deal of time in this room, but any time I wasn't you could very clearly hear "HELLO? HELLO? HELLO?" Pretty much non stop.
E Kramer2 lol thats cute, my cat is about the same age. my Oldest one
Awww. Hope kitty goes on for a really great long life :)
My cat only once cried 'hello' (in a very deep voice) in the hallway and I was like 🤔 hello?..who says hello?
Then I heard a barf noise..
E Kramer2 my cat lives to 22
Neela Delphine bahaha
"Cats will be cats" That is speciesist!
I've been teaching my cat when she and I both were bored and she has learned every trick under 10 minutes... I think she even enjoys it, I can see how her brain is working lol
Fun fact, I once playfully flicked some water on her from the faucet and she looked at me like "wtf was that???" and after a while copied me and did the same with her paw, splashing water on me. She really is a quick learner and mimics a lot... Even kisses.
I miss my cats
My story
One day we moved in to some apartments we had rats and cockroaches we looked for cats to get rid of the rats
We got some cats they didn't last
Eventually my brother came home and 2 cats followed him
Me and my sister we're so happy we lived them we followed them home and they followed us again we told our mom and she said ask them if we can use them to get rid of the rats
Me and my sister asked for the cats and they let us have them
We loved them and the rats were gone
One was fluffy and colored white and gray it was beautiful
The second one was a tabby cat
Their names were tiger and fluffy 🐈
We eventually had to move because a bug infestation so we didn't get to take them we visited and fed them
Eventually we moved to Arizona from California and we never saw them since I pray their doing good
I want another cat a kitten and I want to teach it tricks and teach it to love me and shower at a young age of course
Thanks for reading I appreciate it tell me your stories it will make me happier thanks
When I wake up my cat is usually by the kitchen table sitting and reading the newspaper. Its not on this list but it's pretty cool
I taught my cat, Zelda to play fetch when she was 6-9 months old & now at nearly 3 she hasn't left me alone since.
my cats learned fetch naturaly through my laziness... one would bring me her toy and I through it and only did it again when she brought it back to me..because I refused to get out of bed...the other one loves his sticks so much that he runs after them and then draggs them trhough the flat half of the day
SalaTrash me too
“No door will be safe” 😂
My tomcat Persi knows high five, jump over, sit, lying down, lift paws, pleas, roll over, bounce and twist.
I love him.😘❤

''Hey Socks! Sit!''
Socks: ''Weird flex, no thank you.''
Keyboard cat will always be remembered
When we adopted my cats one of them came with a little green sponge ball. He carried that thing everywhere for the first couple days. He was more shy than his brother so we couldn't get to close without spooking him. When he finally came out of his shell he dropped the ball in front of my daughter and they just started playing fetch. Every morning after my wife feeds them he brings her the ball and they play for like 15 minutes before she gets ready for work. I bought 8 more of those same balls.
The kitten on a leash is sooooo cute
My cat already knows how to close and open doors lol
Me: home alone chilling in my room
Door creaks open
Me: omg omb robber
Cat: walks in
My calico cat knows shake, sit, spin, and to reach up in the air.😊 I wanna teach her the shell game, high five and how to fetch!
I taught my cat how to do flips... it looks cute.
how?
Pls tell
i basically use treats to do the trick and i also use this toy that she has which is a worm tied to a stick and i bring the worm up in the air so she tries to catch it and then i give her treat so then she already know if she jumps then she will get treat but my cat already does a flip when she jumps
Our cat has learnt to sit, lie down, roll, turn both sides, stand on two legs and to give the paw. Next is high five and to close the tap when he's done drinking water.
"Teaches your little ball of fluff.." awww❤🙌😍 YES little ball of fluff 😅😂😂😘
"Flop over like a pancake" 😂😂😂
Me: opens door
Max: runs away
My cat only knows high five xD
Please do not teach your cat to use the toilet. It is not good idea. Because then they will only use the toilet. And if you go somewhere where it is not possible, they will pee all over the floor or couch. You can find more info why you should not teach it by just googlin "why you should not teach your cat to use the toilet"
Or if someone closes the lid :P Also if you teach your cat how to flush the toilet, it's going to flush the toilet, flush it some more, and then some.
where are you gonna go where there ISNT a toilet? ya i will make sure the next time i visit some 3rd world country i wont take my cat
Yea you are right
@@sarahfranks9533 It's not about there not being a toilet, it's about the toilet's design being different. So you had a round bowl, this one has an elongated one.. or this one had the flush handle over here, but this other one has it over here, or this one is taller than that one, or the toilet seat is narrower/wider. Some designs are literally impossible for a cat to use, others are just way more difficult. Think about yourself going from Apple to Android or vice versa. You know how to use a phone, but it's confusing, you're not sure how to do this or that.. why doesn't it just work when I try to do the same thing, etc. It's the same for your cat and a new toilet, except your cat wants to pee right this moment and if it's having trouble, it'll go on the floor instead. And once it realizes that this is even easier, it might just keep on doing it. Also, your cat may just get older, have joint issues, and suddenly become unable to jump onto a toilet and balance on the toilet seat. It's one of those things that sounds really cool in theory, but it's a pain in reality, especially if you move often.
I think the number one reason should be because it's not natural to them, but quite the opposite. People, please, if you're not willing to let an animal follow its natural instincts in your home then you shouldn't adopt said animal. Actually, if you're that much against dealing with poop, don't have any kind of a pet. Get your cat fix from other places like visiting a friend who has a cat, or go to a kitty cafe.
"Sit" became "Manners!" with our littlest boy Oreo, by accident. He is extremely enthusiastic over cheese, to the point of trying to shove himself onto my lap and grab anything I was snacking on. I started holding the cheese out of reach & over his head with a sharp-ish "Manners!"...and he'd sit down in order to stare up at the food that he couldn't reach (complete with pathetic little mews), until I finally gave him the tidbit. It was entirely accidental on my part; I hadn't intended on training him to do anything other than "stop grabbing my food". But now it's a cute little trick -- now, when Oreo hears "manners", he sits at attention, with his tail curled around his his front paws, until he gets his bit of cheese. 😁
Although..no. No. Do NOT train your cats to use the human toilet. It's asking for trouble and a pissed-off cat. Similarly, training your cat to open doors can also be dangerous, especially if you have screen doors -- we had a cat that had learned how to open screen doors before we adopted her, and while we loved her dearly, it was constant anxiety on warm days, as she'd figured out how to push the latch/door just enough so it wouldn't click completely-closed by the time she got down...and kitty then got outside. Not what you want to have happen if you're bringing in the week's groceries.
5:47 some one was controling the cat
You dont say
Yeah, and you won't feel good if somebody controls you to do things you don't like and might hurt you. It's like forcing a person who is afraid of heights to do a backflip....do i need to say anymore?
I had a cat who would open my door and try to kill my toes while I slept (I was 6) I would bark at it to scare it away.
Kiley Hardin hahhaha
Why would ur cat wanna kill ur toes
Lizzie in wonderland some cats do that. Maybe because they wiggle?

@@melozychv207 same it's when their babies well mine only when he was a baby their new to the world
my cat can sit, high five, and wave to me but i am currently working on turning around
My cat plays fetch with a plastic spider web and I bought him a harness and he goes on walks!!! 💖
My cats have tricks up their furry little sleeves. They stand up like a ballerina, fetch, catch, open the cat door because it’s locked from the inside and follow me around the neighborhood
We don’t have treats but we trained our cat to sit and stand and pet her as a replacement treat and she loves it
My cat taught ME to play fetch. His personal favorite is grocery bags knotted into a ball, though because of the hazards, I don't do it very often.
He also LOVES ponytails. He could play fetch with a ponytail for hours. Because of this, he now has a skill of finding ponytails anywhere and everywhere 😂
Lol. I got my cat a leash and every time I took her out, she just went stiff and fell over. 🤣
Me: Shadow sit
Shadow: meeeeows and sits
Me: good cat
Shadow: walks away
This is the most ironic thing ever.... My Cat is NAMED MOJO LOL
Yes! My cat fetches hair ties too!! And piles her toys on my bed! That’s how the fetch started.
My cat taught himself how to open slightly and shut doors by himself 😎
During covid my wife taught are cat Lilly to sit, high five , speak for the most part , stay , it’s incredible how 1 year working from home with a brand new kitty can result in amazing kitty tricks
I’ve taught my cat to sit when we give her dinner. Its really easy and sometimes she does it without my hand gesture 😂
When I got my cat, he automatically new how to catch things and he loved to chew on rubber toys and chase them around, so I throw his toys over small obstacles and he jumps over them and catches the toy just like a mini-feline-horse-hybrid haha! It's so fun to do xD
Everytime at night,my cat would push the bedroom door open and sleep beside me :P
My cat taught itself how to play fetch with a piece of dog food
What if when ur doing fetch and they pick it up and u say come and they drop it and come to u?
I taught my horse to fetch and my cat sort of taught me, I sort of taught him. If they drop it and come to you, pet and praise, but go over to the toy and get them to touch it, then give them the treat. I’ve found that it helps to start small. Start in easy arms length, and then once the cat knows that they should give you the toy, then gradually add distance.
Msmojo: Until cats can get the hang of sitting
My cat: where do I put my legs so many places!
She is a really cute cat. Thank you for your image
I wish one of these was sleeping my cat loves that trick
my cat can open doors,he sits when im holding a treat i dont even tell him to
I tought my cat to START THE CAR...
I have one of those cars that have a button instead of a key
My cat doesn’t do tricks, but she always bring me stuff, like socks, and it’s adorable, she just gave me some sucks 10 minutes ago 😆 OMG SHE JUST CAME WITH ANOTHER PAIR HAHA
Fun fact: Cats bring humans items (dead mice/birds/bugs/socks) when they think we are big, stupid cats and cannot feed ourselves.
My cat knows how to jump, high five, luck my hand, sit, and open doors, except he does it with his head :I Ill teach him the rest, and give you an update when im done.
I learnt so much on how to train a cat ☺☺👍👍
My cats already open doors by default lol
Thankyou for sharing these tricks.

My cat loves to use fluffy balls and hair ties during fetch time.
My kitten is super energetic and he just jumps instead of sitting❤️😂
1:37 when my cat was young she could open up door she was like "FBI OPEN UP"!
Most of my cats learn to open and close doors by themselves and. Excellent video. Thanks
And my cat usually just tries to bite me when I go near him even when I have treats :/

My oldest of my three cats knows paw. Also pats. No joke. He pats me with his paw. It’s cute. He does it when he wants attention (he needs it a lot) and doesn’t like when I pull away. He’ll grab my arm/hand. My middle cat sleeps with his head down and when he gets into trouble, he walks to the corner and sits there. I don’t know why but he does. Ah, now my youngest. He knows shake and high five and even when asked to talk, he will and opening doors. Before I had them, I had a girl one (grandma’s cat) and she knew how to catch her toys and clean up after herself and open doors.
I had a cat that used the toilet.. my dad gave me heck for the longest time because he thought it was me and I wasn't flushing.. until he caught the cat in the act lol
Me: teaching how to sit is not too hard.... I have done it before.
Cat: huh? Command? Sit?
Me: SIT
Cat: **lays down**
Okay. Tell it to lay down. See if it will do the opposite.
Best quote ever "No door will be safe"
My cat loves playing fetch with a ball of paper... never had to teach her.. just through it one day and she ran and grabbed it and brought it back... last night I said sit, and she sat... she’s still a kitten and i found her outside, her parents are probably feral ... cats are smart as hell
Aw I taught my cat to give me a high five 😍😍
Me: holds hoop and treats infront cat
Cat: walks under hoop
Trying to play limbo.
Thanks a lot I couldn't even get my cat to stand thanks for the tip a whole bunch😀
3:15 my two cats ( they look exactly like that :3 )
My cat already knows how to open doors, one time I saw her opening my door just to get out/ get in most of time she was too lazy to even use her intelligence to open my door and I had to help her open the door.:-)
My kitty knows 7 tricks: sit, crouch, lay down, roll over, up, come here, turn around
My cat looks like this: 1:06
My cat opening the door at night at 3:00 AM..
*YEAH RIGHT*
I wish I could teach my cat these but he’s deaf so I could maybe try hand actions
lol my cat loves to play fetch with milk caps hahaha..
But Garfield knows, eating and sleeping are all the necessary skills every cat needs to have... And saving the world sometimes.
My cat knows how to sit, shake, reach her paws up, and spin.
The trick to all this is to work with the cat's natural inclinations. When Medb was a kitten I started training her to beg for treats. I held the treat in my fingers and would say to her "Say please". Eventually she learned that when I said that she was to raise her right paw. If she raised her left paw no treat. Eventually as part of the routine I got her to sit up after beckoning with her right paw. When I say "birdie" she knows it's LASER time and gets in a crouch to chase it. If I want her to get up on a perch, I say "up, up." and point to where I want her and she complies. Her reward is vigorous petting and praise. She is a very compliant cat and has shown a very strong inclination to please and learn knew tricks. Medb was a 5 month old shelter cat when we got her and the tag on the cage said she was a shy cat. Her reaction to me was anything but shy and I knew she had to come home with us. I came to the conclusion that she appeared to be shy because she wasn't being interacted with and was kept in a small cube. As opposed to common wisdom cats need tons of attention to be properly socialized. They are not independent and aloof as some would imply.
Yeah my cat knows how to open my door 😂😂
The cat can flush hahahahaha
My cat is petrified of hula hoops.
For no reason.
Me at 1 AM: Hm great, let’s go play with my cat
The cat can flush lmao 😂😂😂
I have a cat named pickles we adopted him and his family taught him to give you kisses. So when ever I see him I say pickles kiss kiss and he gives you a kiss. It's my favorite trick he does and it's so cute
my kitten was born with the the trick "playing fetch"
Opening doors is the most dangerous trick I could think of. My cat self-teaching that trick is how she ended up getting out onto the balcony the one time I forgot to lock it. She wound up jumping off it, and while I found her, she did get a sprain and I could've easily been unable to find her. Also, why would you want to deprive yourself of all privacy? The only worse trick I can imagine is an 'opening locks' trick. Things like high-five and sitting are cute and harmless and open the door to the really useful tricks like entering crates on command and walking on a leash. The toilet one is pretty problematic and I'd really only recommend that one to seniors or people with disabilities who have a lot of issues carrying litter (if lightweight litter & crystals have been rejected by the cat). There's a few problems with it - first, cats like having things that smell like them in the house, and if they don't have a litterbox, they may pee places to mark them. The second thing is that the training is all toilets are designed a little bit differently, so you'd have to re-train for every single toilet or risk them peeing on the floor. Then there's the issue that when your cat gets older, they may no longer be able to physically handle doing that trick, so they'll eliminate elsewhere. Finally - unless you manage to also teach the cat to flush (if you do, expect repeated flushing), which may or may not be possible depending on your toilet's design, you will a) have the cat pee/poo odor all the time and b) will always be finding a dirty toilet waiting for you (imagine your guests' reaction!). Some rare cats do teach themselves this one, in which case it's obviously okay, but otherwise, don't teach something that'll cause you more odors & trouble than you had in the first place!
Teach my cat to continue to walk even in the midst of outside noises.
