Id prefer this be a tier 2 med bed. Platforms like this are meant to sustain life or render immediate aid and transport to role 1 or 2 levels of care. This could give the player the choice to get back in the fight, at a health cost, or get evacd back to a larger med bay (maybe cutty?) that's off the OBJ.
No respawn in Tier 3 beds please.

If only the game actually felt like this. Basically just jump in, turn on your imagination, and play an alpha, get bored, log off, come back in 6 months. Rinse. Repeat.
that face to face with Jarred reading the PR release wasn't really cool... sorry, but lying then (Red, Carrack, C8R) or lying now?.. all med beds respawning on the short term is fine... although, this is being changed again right before server meshing can do one of the big things it is supposed to do. mesh players and contract/beacon list across shards for anyone doing medical. plus, and probably more importantly, CIG never really fixed the lack of Medic Rep or an expanding broadcast distance. even a 10-20 second timespan of the beacon's radius extending from local planet and moons to other planets would make a big difference as to how far away medics who accept are when the beacons are accepted. also, Apollo's and larger ship desirability will be substantially different depending on how medic gameplay is flushed out... not to mention lore retcon type things with Ibrahim Spheres, which, if anything, should have been reinforced. remember in Gears of War there was a crawling mechanic to the downed state. which was good because it gave you something to do and try to get to safety. SC could do it so much better. broken leg=limp and 2 broken legs=prone. 1 broken arm=severe weapon sway, 2 broken arms= overall item usage limitation. both prone state and item usage limits would prevent vehicle operation. same with head injuries which would require a medic or knowledge of medical supplies in ideal scenarios. bleed out timer and death timer could possibly be combined into a greater mechanic. would just depend on loss of conscious mechanics.

I don't know how much of a fan I am of the new respawn stuff. Like I thought for the biggest time that only like capital ships with the best medical equipment can respawn and now they're just give it to any tier 3 bed that you can just stash out side the door of a bunker. You don't really have a fear of dying anymore and having to travel all the way. Seems no fun

Maybe go back to the Freelancer line and widen the doorways so we can load boxes in the forward cargo sections...before the persistent hangars come online.

Some real clarification on this would be greatly appreciated because it's getting really hard to swallow the game mechanic changes that hinge around ship sales.

This will not be Call of Duty - with instantaneous respawns - by any stretch of the imagination, and there will be a tangible penalty to death in terms of how long it takes you to get back to where you were even if an Endeavor is strategically placed." -star citizen dev's a couple years ago we the "temporarily" added respawning to the carrack.

The aspect ratio slider, clearly doesnt work well to solve the issues of markers being insanley huge because of the aspect ratio being rendered, so why isnt there a solution to that right now because its currently close to unplayable with how big markers are combined with how cluttered markers and names are, the settings for hiding nameplates and distances are also not working... >*
