Instead of a vending machine to change your look, how about tying it into the hospital, a separate service that feels less artificial than a vending machine.

How about a good ol fashion barber shop, and for the fancy the salons.
Why not just make the "Change your Look" be an actual 'place' like the Hospitals?.. you already have places in areas like Microtech that are just empty rooms that you cant actually enter into... those could easily be converted into a similar layout to the hospitals where there's x-number of rooms, and you 'check in' to reserve a room, then you go into the room to do any changing.

Hey Jared, could we get a video or a segment about how CIG is going to build the solar systems and if this process has sped up at all. Getting enough solar systems is still my greatest concern for this game. Thank you.
I personally couldnt care less about Sol lol. We have duch exciting lore to explore, getting home system in SC is the least of my concerns

Solar systems are probably one of their last concerns. Imagine if we had all 100 systems right now. That would change barely anything. You'd just see fewer people and they don't have any unique content
It's definitely not one of their last concerns. Most players want to explore, so they need places TO explore, not the same system they've been flying around for years. No, this is one of their major thoughts that we don't hear much about yet.

I imagine already custom height and size for character hitboxes: everyone will be dwarf running around.
I don't understand how there are people who devalue the work of these technicians. All the work done by this company is spectacular and will not only be used for this game, it will be used for more in the future. The question about why waste time with styling hair is to devalue the work of these people who do it so we can have a more exciting and funnier game. Keep going CIG, the game is on another level and there is nothing like it in this world.
And they are features that don't really slow down the development of the game.
I think it might be because of the game being littered with all sorts of bugs is why some people would look at this development process and scoff at it, I agree that this is excellent work and every single member of CIG should be praised for it but at the same time i get the total frustration with game bugs with every day mundane tasks within the game.

And we are live on the hair… I mean air, here in Manchester! 🤪 lol good episode! My big question got answered in regards to beards within helmets and how that is handled! Good SCL here! I look forward to creating a consistent character that will carry over from patch to patch! Such a major QOL feature that will really make you feel more attached to your character! I’m super ready for 3.23 and I hope everything is coming along nicely in terms of meeting the internal deadlines that lead to these features actually arriving in this patch. Thank you CIG team for all your hard work and dedication to getting yet another fantastic feature into the verse! I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
The changes to the character creator and DNA system are really wonderful. This is great representation of what Star Citizen should be.

More videos! The community wants updates whenever possible, doesn't matter if it's a simple fix or a huge patch, we want to know what's going on! This is the right way of getting rid of all the negativism. Keep up with the great work CIG! Feels like we are finally on track now

scanning ourselves with textures isnt really important, it is but we already have a huge pool in the new system, but the shape is,
and with tobii or iphone/samsung 3rd scanner would "just" be a conversion.
lighting, you could add a lightbulb, that pops out to the capital of each system, so if you click mt, you get the lighting from new babbage ect. combined with rotation, that would be huge.
I want Jared as a NPC in game. Like a super Villain or super good person, someone that shaped the verse ingame as he did in the real word.
Maybe the Ambassador of the Humans?
If there ever will be television in the verse, he needs to be the moderator to news, advertise new shop items and so on...

What happened to the diverse choice of heads in the character creator, why for the first head do I have to choose form one race? It's hard to choose one that I identify with when all of them are 1 race.

I know we don't really have a benchmark tool, but what if you combined character creator with a benchmark type tool that allowed various characters to go through set animations in various environments pretty quickly. Thank you all for everything you do.

[Question] When Alien characters come into the game, will players be able to choose to play as one? Will the Character Creator reflect that possibility?
Second Challenge to backers: When it's possible to play as an Alien, Make at least ONE impossibly outrageous head, either as beautifully Alien or as ugly Alien as you can achieve. Again, see if you can break the system with either proposition!!
i think it was mentioned in the past that they want to add playable Aliens at some point. but that was many years ago so who knows if that is still a thing.
@@ADMNtek I recall that aliens were meant to be nonplayable not confirming over this though.
Camera scanning of facial features brings a whole set of privacy issues that I do not think CIG would want to be held responsible for.
Plus scanning of other "objects" instead of a face.

I don't mind character customization at all, but in a different topic: how come stalling mechanics in atmosphere flight will become a thing after so many years?
OMG I so appreciate the long hair style staying when wearing hats and stuff! so many games cheap out and like, I make my character with a ponytail and hats just remove my ponytail. my hair doesn't do that irl, why would it in a game?!

Customizing the body would be awesome. Being able to do height, weight, thin,fat,muscular. Even in the future having to exercise or depending on how much you eat determines your body. Less focus on hair and more focus on the body as a whole (head,body type)
It's an issue with the seats and character model physics.
Eventually we won't be able to wear a backpack in the seats.

pretty much answered in the video. Beards are using the same system as hair and that adapts to your head/ facewear. So it´s safe to assume that
the same applies to facial hair.

unlikely to happen, for the same reasons that CIG constrain faces to the limits of scanned 'real' faces

I feel like there is an industry joke about genitalia customising that fits here somewhere.
With all the AI improvement over the last maybe 2 years, will this be a thing in future of Star Citizien, or will a be maybe one of the last games that will takle problems like animation , fitting on so on the "old" way. Not that is bad, but it would be interessting to know if something in the works or even consindered at CIG.
Why does CZcams always show captions for this video even when I have them default to off? If I hide captions and refresh it shows them again. Both on web and android TV. It's this and other videos, it's driving me nuts.
Please give us the ability to enter in HEX codes for more color accuracy.
Please allow us to lengthen and shorten hair (facial hair included).

They have answered about hex codes a number of times in the past.
@@thePrisoner1000 I suppose you have some source/link to some official statement from CIG regarding HEX code input in regards to the Character Customizer? I haven't been able to find any definitive statement about it from CIG.
I would love to see some fluorescent and glow in the dark makeup and hair die.

I feel bad for the devs who got sucked into this project late stage, I don't think they're going to have very good prospects on the horizon......
No, I don't have My Merchantman due to people working on body editing. I don't have my Merchantman due to ""Poor Planning and Poor Management"" or the lack there of.
It was almost done then you had a few people quit. Then CIG said they had no one that had any idea on how to work on the ship and would need to start all the way over from scratch.
So don't go saying you have people working on body editing part time and that is to blame for that failure.
I would easily give up the Merchantman for body editing any day.
You still don't really have a plan for how the shop in the Merchantman will really even work anyway so it would just be a cargo ship until who knows when.
At least with body editing you know what is required to make it work and how to go about doing it. Also, you still have many parts of armor/clothes that clip don't stay attached to the body already but don't stop you from pushing out more. Where are the made-up excuses for that? You only had two bodies for them to go on.
Far as ships go let talk about the forbidden one the "Endeavor" you don't even like to talk about it and when you guys do the person talking about it rolls their eyes. When can we get an update on it?

Personally, I'd really like to see all the old hairstyles brought back into the new system. I'm not really a fan of seeing older content removed to make room for new content. Keep the old, and add the new that just gives us more variety and then no one who liked the old hairstyles feels left out.
