Street Fighter 6 M. Bison Guide! Advanced Tips & Tricks
Here's my Street Fighter 6 M. Bison guide, covering a bunch of cool tips and tricks I've learned so far. This tutorial mainly covers a bunch of basic and advanced options for your core move, Knee Press. There's a lot of combos that M. Bison requires to be confirmed from counter hit, so I made sure to point those out. Since he has no true reversal, I listed his best defensive moves and how to keep your opponent busy with your own pressure using Psycho Mine.

Street Fighter 6 How To Counter M. Bison! Scissor Kick Pressure Guide
zhlédnutí 10KPřed 14 dny
M. Bison has been driving players crazy with his signature Scissor Kick pressure in Street Fighter 6. I wanted to make a guide on how to counter and deal with this move to help you guys out. First, it's important to know that his Knee Press is actually punishable and a lot of his blockstrings aren't real. I also give a ton of combo examples to knock M. Bison down to mount your own offense. Ther...
Street Fighter 6 M. Bison Review! Cool, Overtuned & Anti Meta

M. Bison just released for Street Fighter 6, and there's already a lot of chatter about how crazy powerful he is. I go over and breakdown just why that is by going over his main strengths and weaknesses. It seems M. Bison directly counters the meta of SF6 by destroying low attacks and projectiles. It's still way too early to cry for nerfs, but M. Bison is definitely a character to watch out for...

    4:09 “[…] and, of course, if you do a demon *right after*, then that jab also will get counter hit.” This is true but if the opponent just blocks without jabbing and you do the demon *immediately after* the DR crLP or DR sLP, they will be able to jump *after* the flash and you’ll die. I’ve been testing this and I’ve noticed that if you delay the Forward input after the jab by an incredibly small amount (it feels like maybe 3 frames or so), your opponent won’t be able to jump after the flash. I imagine this is because the tiny delay causes your opponent to come out of block stunt and the demon will be point blank in their face which means they won’t be able to escape it. However, doing the demon right after the jab means they’ll still be in block stunt and will be able to jump after the flash. **EDIT** Actually to make it easier, you can just delay the last LK+HP of the demon. Same concept but maybe easier to execute.

    One thing I would suggest as a tip: Dont neglect your super meter to save it for just a big SA3/CA cash out for big damage. You can use your SA1/SA2 for damage and build up bar to use them again as a reversal almost immediately whereas holding on to the meter for too long, afraid you may use it incorrectly or as a big damage level 3 may lead you to missed opportunities to turn around disadvantageous situations or even slow your opponent into hesitating and giving up pressure to avoid getting hit by a SA1 or SA2 reversal. I try to always keep about 1 bar saved up for SA1 reversal. There isnt much difference between SA1, SA2, and SA3 damage in combos, roughly 200-300 damage between the next level between them. I usually do 4500 with a punish counter combo into SA1. If i did the same combo into SA3 it would only hit for like 5200 if im not mistaken. So i use SA1 and usually im close to another bar of super for a reversal or i still have another bar ready for use. 4500 is half of Akumas health bar and damn near half of everyone else. I see a lot of Bisons go all in with SA3 or CA, dont kill their opponent, then end up getting looped to death because they literally have no reversal options ESPECIALLY if they burned out for SA3. Your meter is important with M. Bison, so try not to burn it all recklessly.

    • @JayFlacko
      @JayFlacko Před 7 dny

      4500 compared to the 6k off a lvl3 (Off of only 2 drive bars) is a huge difference and his dmg is what makes a lot of matchups bearable imo similar to Marisa which then leads them into burnout which is where bisons buttons become ridiculous with mp being +2 and being able to chips safely with scissor and ex crusher. Just because he has no reversal doesn’t mean you should simply get destroyed like your burnt but maybe I think differently because I come from other characters with no reversal. U have to be locked in on taking your turn back and I feel like when I play master if my reversal gets baited and I lose half my health and have no bar afterwards there’s pretty much no chance I win that round instead of just taking the throw or pressing lk on a gap (not Di of course) . Also u truly don’t have to use drive rush cancels because his ex confirms are so easy and get and usually even get you more dmg so u shouldn’t just be blowing all your bar on one combo unless it kills. Others have to do the cancel but he’s very good with using small amounts of bars for big dmg

    • @oOYourdadOo
      @oOYourdadOo Před 7 dny

      @@JayFlacko very good points, but your first sentence, 4500 compared to 6K. Im not just talking damage in a single instance, and even in just an instance, if we not talking about securing the victory, then you are literally holding on to super bar just for 6K damage. And i forget what the neutral situation is post SA3/CA. I know you are near the opponent but i dont know the frame data off the top of my head. SA1 has GREAT corner carry and is +11 however its literally back to neutral at the point as you will always be too far to take advantage of the +11, however, from experience you can get away with baiting your opponent into flinching, them doing something because you made a sudden movement. SA2 you are +23 with real Oki. So far im batting 1000 for dashing (19frames) and throwing them immediately after i recover from landing SA2. And the only way they get out of that oki is by using an invincible move or jumping. And with Bisons ability to corner carry in his combos, when you land his SA2 they are normally in the corner, so you literally are in the best position to keep on the pressure, even after landing a combo which was like 300-400 less damage then what it would have been from the SA3. 300 less damage? But i get hella advantage after the move to make my opponent guess for game? Punish Counter StHK > dash or walk forward CrHP cancel into OD Scissors > StHP super cancel in SA2 is the easiest 5.5k combo you will ever do and you get oki where they gotta guess if you gonna start a throw loop on them, meaty them, or something else. 23frames is roughly what you are after landing light and medium backfist combo so whatever you do (minus psycho crusher to explode the mine) on their wake up works. Drive Rush into immediate StHP should be a total of 27 frames. That gives your opponent time to jab, and trade with you, but if you trade with them the advantage is tremendously in your favor. If they try to drive parry they will likely miss time it and not perfect parry because they usually try and time it on wake up rather then actually timing it as your punch lands, and on block you will be +5 and can go into StMP pressure or micro walk throw or even back HK if they arent mashing jab. I like to StMP because of the target combo and even DI can catch them off guard. If the tried to jump out and got hit by StMP into drive impact they get wall splatted for game killing combo. If they get counter hit StMP, follow up with another StMP, CrMP, OD scissors, StHP again into SA1 (because you likely have it. If you don’t have super after SA2, then instead of StHP into super, you just do Forward MP (overhead) into ground bound into light medium or OD backfist combo, light or medium scissors, or light psycho crushed for game. I can do this every round because of how i manage my meter and bar and if it goes 3 rounds i usually have had about 6-7 and sometimes 8 bars of super to use. Not quite 6k damage, but i maintain advantage, options, neutral positioning, mental stack, and still a lot of damage. Im rambling now tho. But you will find yourself in situations where you wish you had a reversal. It usually gonna be after landing SA3 and they are still alive with resources, or if you won with SA3 in round 2 and round 3 (final round) starts and they have all of these options and you only have your drive meter and steel toe boots. Its not always gonna be in your favor to keep your drive gauge full. Drive Reversal helps Bison a lot. You may want to OD a special move. You may have had to block fake pressure and lost 2 bars just defending. You might be the goat with M Bison and have such amazing pressure that you are able to overwhelm your opponents and not have to use SA1 as a reversal. Maybe you a perfect parry got and dont need to using SA1 to counter when they have the advantage and are trying to burn you out or grab you, or you need to react to fireball or jump with SA2. You may not need all the additinal options to available to you or available for your opponent to see to add to their mental stack so they dont ever get too comfortable on offense or defense.

      @JayFlacko Před 7 dny

      @@oOYourdadOo lots of times I’ve gotten lvl3 in just the 1st round so if I win that round and then do the 6k into a burnout situation I’ve one myself the match and even if I had to use 1 or 2 of those bars as a gap reversal or DI punish I’ll still get the lvl 3 to finish the next round if u could get the offense going so I’m never really HOLDING the bar to do 1 combo and no I’m no perfect parry god by any means but in street fighter your either gonna get throw baited or thrown (and di if your in the corner I guess ) so a lot of times u just gotta take the throw and even then when u take a lot of throws when u finally get that backdash read they’re pretty much dead so your almost goading them into it to get the full combo punish for them going for a throw on your oki situation, but all in all when you play a character who lacks defensive capabilities I’d rather play safer on defense and believe in my knowledge of the game and roster on when I can get my turn back and play off that. There will always be a bust out lvl1 here and there but mostly on reaction and not off a read to guarantee the spend

      @@nassattack try ‘tap-pause-tap’ cadence when pressing the buttons. If you use a macro for two or 3 kicks to activate your OD special move, then just tap that button quick pause then tap again. Almost like saying 1-2-3.
