Idk if you've know, recently Dogura and Nemo had exchange information on Bisonベガ, that Bison has a non-true blockstring that automatically space for knee press to be safe. 5hp => (not true blockstring) 2mp => knee press You have to be aware if Bison players start doing this, also lab your own counter. (Deal with 5hp, or interrupt Bison after blocking 5hp with something maybe parry)

Think of his scissors kick as a hadouken. Capcom is smart, and they understand hadoukens are more than just projectiles. They are pokes, footsies, etc. Your brain is treating scissors kick as a hadouken, and in theory, Bisons kick is that. Capcom know their stuff lol But it is punishable. You do need to be at a good distance for it to be safe, but if they do it close enough, and its blocked, you can punish it. Thats the only difference between a hadouken.
I don’t mind bison but one thing I dislike about the design of some characters is that you can use a character for less than half an hour and be decent against others who put hours into their characters. Bison is easy mode and takes no effort. Same with Balrogs archetype. Its mad annoying how Bisons drive reversal has so much pushback, you can barely punish even though it’s -6 and even though youre standing right next to him.
So it's not just me fucking up the punish timing eh? I kept missing my 6 frame MP punish against him with Cammy even at what appears to be point blank range
Played 14 bison matchups 100 league points away from diamond 4, lost 3 rank up matches to bison the same hour, finally got in, got a LP cushion in diamond 4 so I don’t rank down losing one set. Yeah thanks man, prioritizing this matchup big time, as JP. Seeing that od psycho crusher coming at me full screen when I’m opening a departure portal grinded my gears until I recognized those start up frames
nice. ive switched from juri to bison. great guide, cus its something you need to check early to curb his neutral presence. the rest of his kit is pretty fun. i think they could slightly nerf sciz and hed still be strong in the areas he already excels in. but with knowledge like this, im not sure if its needed yet? we really need to talk about his scaling... edit: another layer to the devils reverse mixup is early whiffed stomp. beats reaction dps and some grounded anti airs.

Ken - St. Short DRC into St. Strong for Ken - party starter. Don’t even needed +2 punish counter, just regular counter hit works. E.g., st. Short, DRC st. Strong, cr. Fierce, RH Jinrai to Lvl3. Many more examples. We are so privileged.
It is sometimes possible for Guile to just do cr. LP, sweep against knee press, works on the H. version as well, but the spacing is less lenient for Guile. The extended hurtbox does make it reach from farther than you'd expect though. Also to bait EX psycho crusher with Guile land a H. Flash Kick then do L. Sonic Blade and neutral jump.
Non-EX Psycho Crusher is variably minus on block depending on how late it hits into its active frames. It's always punishable but it's possible it won't be AS punishable as you think. The best I've managed to get is a perfectly placed psycho crusher is -6 so you're generally guaranteed at least a medium starter but not always a heavy. Looking just at the frame data in the video here the L. Psycho Crusher could have hit up to 12F later which would have made it -5.
I have done di before on a scissor kick read and it crumbled me and broke the armor. Has only happened a few times but could it be because im lily and the kick is disjointed enough to hit me out of my di? Also how do you deal with his ex headstomp as lily? I feel like i have no tools that can beat it out even if i know it's coming. Thanks
there's a couple characters he missed specifics on. Try the types of moves he's suggesting in training and see how it goes. I think he also skipped Honda and wow can Honda blow this guy up!
too bad marisa standing LK not fast enough though combo off it ok but i like to use to drive rush sneak in command grab i saw nephew did it so i add to my gameplan . as for bison stomp i use her jumping mp soon i see him launch up also cr mp works too love doing that to them lol be careful of overdrive stomp it will get stuff . quick note don.t use gladius he will bounce off it try day 1 not fun 🤣. if he going for devil reverse armor punch it watch out a good bison will delay it to throw you off that triggers me my own fault need to be more patience same back sfv dealing bison .
He really doesn’t need a nerf, people just love crying and forget that they need to actually lab how to beat characters and actually read their opponent’s behaviour to counter it
I believe Bison will get a nerf within the next 1-2 months, similar to what happened with Akuma. They might add a damage penalty for combos following the mine. Other aspects seem pretty decent to me.
As a Bison player, I hate playing against Ken , matter of fact, in SF6 I don’t even like Ken anymore 😂😂 but I can respect his game and the people who play with Ken , just don’t have to like them 😂😂😂🫡🫡🫡

Aki can use standing LK or crouching LK to punish scissors. Standing LK is currently very strong for her combo routes.
it's kinda crazy how Akuma and Bison completely changed the meta, Capcom really wants the villains to have a lot of presence in this game lol
