    For drive reversal, my guess that if you are not in throw range after blocking, you probably can't go from light to medium either. You most likely only have a light into special move punish.

    I think the idea with dReversal being -6 and getting more pushback is that it might be hard to punish or even safe on block, but if you parry it you're still close enough to hit them with a medium/light.
    So it might force the player on offense to think twice if he thinks you'll dReversal him, because he'll have to do something like light into parry to actually bait the dReversal.
    An offensive parry like that might even lose to a delay tech.

    I remember now that UMA spaced Juri's drive reversal and ended up outside the range of Luke's cr.mp.
    After CapCup X Chris labbed it and found out you had to microwalk for 1 frame to be able to connect with cr.mp if Juri does a max range drive reversal.
    That is now literally a frame perfect punish since 5f cr.mp +1f microwalk equals 6f exactly.
    Anyone without a 5f medium would be limited to 4f lights to punish.
    So wakeup drive reversal would be slower but a lot safer than Juri's od dp.
    Even better for her, she now has two different timings for her wake up reversals.

    I'm expecting defensive hurtbox chances a la jps anti air. His nerf makes more sense in the context of a better drive reversal.
    I like the game already and I trust them. Very excited personally.

    Akuma raw DR into demon gonna be a big problem considering he have faster walk speed than Chun Li. Juri is a top tier who already has great tools including very abusable fast dash forward and DR but Capcom thinks let's buff her because why not SMH. Nice to see Lily got buff though because she needs it. And I hope my boy Ed got buff like his cross up and his standing + crouch jab range / better hitbox.

      It's a universal mechanic. And even then it probably has some niche uses aside from his other wakeup or block options. If Blanka is blocking enemy pressure, he is already kinda losing, the whole point of the character is to go in and out of the enemy's range.

    Juri bHK change might have some funky interactions with Lvl 2?
    Idk, I'm spitballing, and who even knows if that would be optimal. As it is, bHk doesn't get much use.

      ​@gameclips5734 but it doesn't ground bounce, so unless there's a miscommunication or a bad translation going on, there's a lot more you can do with that.

      @@wordcroutons yes but in SA2 juggles you're usually cancelling the first or second hit into another normal anyway. The ground bounce might let you drive rush after but i don't think that really adds to her SA2 combos, maybe if they got rid of the fact that it takes off a juggle point it could be useful.

    Juri’s back heavy kick really isn’t good for AA. It’s best used when you have your opponent in the corner and you throw it out it will catch them trying to jump out. AND when spaced correctly you can whiff punish with it and since both hits of the move are cancelable you can bait DI and counter DI or super, DR, etc.
    I’ve tried using it as an anti-air and it’s so iffy like you said it screw’s me over more often than not

    man so far these changes are so underwhelming im concerned that the first patch after waiting a whole year wont really be that impactful. These changes so far seems more like character adjustments that have been that way since the start

    I'm not sure I understand the shade thrown at Manon's overhead. It's the second part of a completely predictable target combo. Not sure how it's a problem.

    Ngl I feel like the patch is being scrambled. When they released the 10 minute play test it feels like they had no idea what they wanted to do and are using it to gauge audiences reaction as well as create some type of hype.
    If the balance patch was really complete or even half way the biggest changes we would know off the bat because they'd just be too obvious. The fact that we don't see any change to Lilly's Windclad stocks or her gameplay loop in general feels like the intent was to leave her behind. No way they are trying to add new stuff NOW less than 16 days before the intended release.
    People who are fans of Lilly are gonna be disappointed. If there any buffs it maybe to her normals and one or two combo routes. We see that they allowed for some of her crappy moves to have cancels. The thing is ---- to me ---- that's not the problem with the character. If there's no major changes beyond what we see here then she's still gonna be bottom tier

      The two Juri buffs in this video are made to an underused move and to fix a move that wasn't working as intended. I'd think of those more as quality of life changes. I'd barely consider those buffs (the divekick change is practically a bugfix).
      There's also possibly some Juri nerfs built in that haven't been found yet or that are in the works. Just sit tight.

    I want all the shotos, cammy, and so many others to stop beating air attacks with st/cr jabs or st/cr short when a heavy air attacks are used. Only proper anti-airs should be able to counter them.

    10:00 yea, F Blanka. Dude already had OD reversal and j.OD air ball that covers all possible options. Blanka is already A to S tier. In fact, he needs more nerf especially his lvl 2. His 4mk is also broken, which is freaking +8 on hit, +12 on punish counter or drive rush and +fking 16 on punish counter and drive rush. Its also +2 on block, +6 on blocked DR and is a good anti air button. He even has an oki after a blocked DR overhead.
    I don't mind he get other small buffs, but he at least needs nerf on his lvl2.

    My only issue with the DR is the fireball + DR. Capcom just need to come up with a creative way for players to get around it.

      that shouldn't be your issue. drive system destroys neutral currently. The very fundamental aspect that made SF great.
      Raw DR. DR + fireball. DI being 3 armor, not minus and crumples on corner. DR needs to actually cost more and remove raw neutral DR. You should be only allowed to use it like an FADC with specials.
      but what do they do? just buff drive reversal. These are bandages. They do not resolve the fundamental issues. Instead of taking out throw loops and changing DR/DI. This tells me they are sticking to the RPS hyper offense 50/50 direction. That is not SF.

      All that what you said sounds like a you problem and a skill issue. The fireball + DR is only an issue for me b/c I’m using Lily (who Capcom made the weakest in the game). Trust and believe if Laura was in game, that would be a non issue for me. Maining the right character makes all the difference in the world of SF6.

      @@Sakaki98 all characters not being equally on an even playing field as far as strength, power, speed & move set is an example of bad balancing. This is the reason why we keep seeing the same character matchups. Unlike Laura who has plenty of reserves…Lily doesn’t have anything as good as her condor spire…She’s at the bottom of the totem pole as the weakest character. You just can’t make Lily the slowest character…Give her one good move to get inside (that’s if it’s not DI or knocked out of it by a normal/special move) and expect her to excel. Nah, you got to give her way more than what she has. When it comes to the mechanics, I don’t complain about this, that and the third like others do…It doesn’t take much to satisfy me. All I said was Capcom need to come up with a creative way to deal with fireball + DR and that’s it. That’s why I can say what I said in the same breath. So if you want to talk about bad balancing, you should talk about it across the board, not just on mechanics.

      Its neutral. The game is just hyper offense, 50/50 rps, high damage and low defense. A trend of every modern fighting game. lowered Skill gaps

      We don't know yet, It doesn't seem like Drive Rush nerfs, but all we have is word of mouth with no video evidence, not to mention we have no patch notes. Don't take these as law, I'm sure there's plenty of changes people wont find. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not, but I'm not dooming this patch until I see the official notes

      What do you think wakeup drive reversal is? It's a safer OD reversal. I expect using OD reversals will fall out of favor even for those that have them.
