Loved my 2010 Norco shore with Hammerschmidt was so fast and made you always ready for a quick climb or ladder bridge and then again for downhill section. Nothing is as fast to change ratio quickly. That I know of. Bring it back !!!!!!! Hahaha

Flat pedals for comfort, simply because it allows unconsciously moving feet around. Moving the foot slightly further forward on the pedal largely compensates for the lack of clip-grip. I also go for big platforms as I find balancing better with feet wider; again the advantage of big flats being you can move you feet out for descending and in for climbing. But it only works well with a highish BB or else those big pedals catch on everything when pedalling!

Nope. If the chainstay is uninterrupted between the rear axle and the pivot, the rear axle describes an arc during actuation. The other links only affect the shock rate, not the axel path = single pivot.

Never understood idrive. The pedal axle is part of the rear triangle so how is the rider suspended?

Unfortunately the easiest and simplest rear suspension type integrated into the frame is held hostage by a small company....

Just like hauling a race car with high dollar shocks, or a hardtail dragster. Your putting many many many passes on it just by hauling it unless ya stop the bouncing.

I just updated my 2013 Giant Trance drivetrain from 2x10 to 1x11 groupset. The original was the budget X7 SRAM groupset, and it held up well for over 14,000km of riding. So no complaints about SRAM. However, hunting around online I wanted a budget 1x11 groupset, and found the Shimano Deore M5100 1×11 Speed Upgrade Kit, with chain, derailleur and cassette for about $275cdn. I bought a new 30t chainring from the local bike shop for $100, and kept the SRAM crankset. What a fantastic upgrade! Deore stuff works just fine, shifting is nice and crisp. Last year's top tier is this year's budget set. So shop wisely!

#AskGMBNTech I'm building a set of carbon Race Face Wheels with Onyx Vesper hubs. I have some titanium nipples that I can use, but I'm not sure if they're safe to use with carbon. Can I use them? If not, what should I use instead. I know I shouldn't use aluminum.

Bad English. Clips pedals. Clipless are the flat pedals 😂 I am cycling since before clips pedals were invented and always thought it was a joke calling clips pedals "clipless" because each pedals have 2 sets of clips so "clips pedals" 😉
