Good shout… just converting jackal DJ for my 10YO daughter. Lower bars, shorter stem, shorter cranks and adding gears….. will be a trail bike when I’m done…
Kids dont have it good, they cant afford these $2-3k bikes.
Get a kids dropper, my 6 year old has one on his orbea laufey 20” and it made a big difference.
Wow! Nicely done, I wish this could be seen by all the parents… I see too much kids showing up at the park with brand new bikes not fitted for them… ex: 10years old with 800mm handlebars…. Good job Owen !
Well timed video. My son get his new bike tomorrow 😂. I’d love to see more videos aimed towards kids. My 8 year old watches all of the gmbn vids, he struggles with gear changing and braking a bit. He is booked in for his first guidance lesson next week though.
Jeez..if I had a bike like that as a kid..
🙋🏻♂️same here…
We'll it would be so fun. I wish I did
It's pretty cool they using 4 pot brakes. That's also a rebrand and all over aliexpress being sold by brand name iiipro and have some really good reviews.
My kids have a commencal clash 24 he loved it
#GMBNtech. I came across a a 2012 Specialized Enduro comp for my 12yr old for 300$. Awesome deal. But the suspension settings don’t have options for kids that light. 🤷🏽♂️
My dad didn't approve of mountain biking and I had to save my allowance money to buy an original Rock Shox Judy suspension fork which ended up not being compatible with the crappy bike he had bought me. For absolutely no reason he still dissapproves of mountain biking to this very day....
A hardtail bike would be the best teacher… A full suspension would make a kid SOFT straight from the get go!💯
My son have both - bicross training on light hardtail under the lead of guys who are in EU/world competition (to learn how to handle the bike the right way), enduro fullsuspension for bikeparks/local trails.

Which special aspects do I have to consider when pressing a BB with an alloy body into a carbon frame?
Kids bikes these days….. wow what a time to be alive!
Dissagree on the seat height. If they need to stop with their feet flat on the floor while seated, they might as well ride a balance bike until they get more comfortable. Absolutely dreadful pedalling ergonomics if it's that low. Have yet to meet a kid who wasn't immediately happy about increased pedalling efficiency when setting it up properly for their height. Often followed by the parent commenting they didn't pay attention and it simply remained in the lowest position since they got the bike.
There's no fucking way I would by my kid this.!!!
Not without aero socks anyway. LOL.
70 kilos - cute :D
THIS IS FU#%ING NONSENSE!!
everybody knows learn on crap and you'll be amazing when you get decent equipment. Or fall into this consumerist BS and end up with a kid who cant adapt and a TinyRock that sits in the garage🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
100% agree with your point.
Also consider the potential of them becoming a target for Thieves😮
