Next Week: How To Set Up Your First Bank Robbery To Pay For Your First Full Suspension Mountain Bike
In Just 30 Minutes !
lol. thats right. just see how ridiculous the bike price now.
buy a used one
you can even build your own one from used parts - it will be much cheaper
at least you'll get what you want if you want to spend money later on a new one
@@ostankovalex1176 actually i uset to do something like that, build from scratch so i can manage how i build my bike based on my budget, but still at the end of the day it isn't satisfied
@@heromurda3189 well, we can't do anything about it
they will sell parts and bikes at the prices the can be sold - people buy them, so...
i bought a used carbon Cube 120/120mm for around $1400
trying to get my GF a fork upgrade from Suntout to RS Reba for 200$ :)

Stayed for Doddy's "However"
Love seeing the polygons on the channel. Much more affordable and I love mine. Been to several bike parks and bashed it properly still running fine. And everyone at the trails say it looks great.
which one do you have and what thoughts do you have about it?
After watching this video multiple times without a bike, let alone a FS bike, Im now watching this video with a FS bike on route. đ
I would say before going for a trail ride you should bed-in the disc brakes. As simple as getting some moderate speed and then gently making the pads rub against the rotor without locking them, repeat a couple of times.
Excellent job, I have been riding over 20 years and I found this useful
Great timing on this as I'm expecting my own box soon!
Thank you ! So basic and so professional we feel the passion in every word of it ! đ
Great video! everything you need to know from unboxing to your first ride. Thanks Doddy đđ
Great tip on the spacers for the rise of the handlebars. Cut down a few now but never occurred to me to put the spacers on top and play around with the height before actually permanently cutting them down.
Can't wait for my YT Izzo. This video will definitely help me set it up.
Keep up the good work!
This type of videos are my ASMR I already knew everything but it's good to have a recap on this information
Great idea to make this 'index' video that points to those very detailed tutorials made before. I'm saving this one to watch before all maintenance in my bike. Thank you Doddy!
Building up my Siskiu S6 tomorrow, can't wait to get it on the trails!
Literally getting mine Monday afternoon this video will be perfect gonna add to watch later
Very useful info particularly since I bought the same Polygon Siskiu T8 this year. Very tight, comprehensive presentation as expected from Doddy.
I just received my Polygon Siskui D7 and this vid was excellent and very helpful. Cheers!
Great cool, greetings from the Indonesian bicycle shop
Excellent video! đŻMy YT Jeffsy arrived last week, so this would have been SUPER helpful and will be for anyone else. Fortunately, I have already watched all of Doddy's great tutorials, so setup was a breeze! The only thing I thought should have been included is bedding the brakes, but most folks probably end up doing that naturally on the trail anyway. I'll be sure to share this with others! đđ»
These tech vids from this presenter are the absolute best of their kind. It would be great if you could catalog them into a series (or if there is one please let me know). Cheers!
Just bought a 2021 Fuel EX 5 today, my first full suspension...and here comes GMBN. Brilliant!

This is very good timing. My new bike arrived yesterday! :D

a review of this bike would be awesome! great vid by the way!
Fantastic video, thanks. I have a Polygon T8 on order but here in NZ we have a direct importer LBS for Polygon so wonât just be getting a box of bits, the hard work is done. Very useful video for adjustments, sag setup etc.
Thank you for the thorough explanations of differences in positions for saddle, brakes, etc. My Siskiu T8 arrives today and i feel better prepared to dial the adjustments necessary. Just need a torque allen and some of the seat post lube.
Thank you GMBN for this video.
That's my dream bike Polygon Siskiu T8, so sad I can not get it coz at Indonesia it's so hard to get frame size XL which is fit to my body size.
Now I will apply the knowledge from this video to my brand new Patrol 591.
Your videos are some of the best on CZcams with regards to parts maintenance and technical info.
So very much enjoy my subscription to your channel
Perfect ,1st bike getting built next week.

It has been 6 months since the arrival of my Commencal, so I plan to go through it according to this video and see how I am doing.
I will especially be looking for "loose bolts". :)
Got me in the mood for a new bike!
Thanks so much for the vid itâs really going to help set up my bike!!!
Sweetness!!! Iâm actually waiting for a T7 to arrive at my front door next week so this video could not have been timed any better! Thanks Doddster!
Did your bike come? Been thinking of getting the t7 as well, wondering how you like it?
@@bobbyflay4104 Been running it through its paces and its is not bad at all! Granted, this is my first Full Sus, but I have ridden plenty of rentals and some of my buddies' bikes that are full sus (Giants, Transitions, Ibis) Even though these components are suppose to be the bottom end they are great! Even unlocked no pedal bob on the long climbs. The brakes are really impressive. I'm coming from Tektro Gemini to the ones on the T7 and its definitely a nice upgrade even though some have complained about little modulation. I think its fine. As of now the only weak point for me is the fork, which I don't think is bad at all... just wish I had more rebound control. Another pleasant surprise were the tires. BikesOnline says they might come with either the Schwalbes in a 2.6 or the WTB Trail Boss in a 2.4... i ended up with the WTBs and im o happy I did! I dont shy away from long climbs and I was previously riding 2.2s for a while. I can definitely feel the difference in size on the climbs giving me more resistance. Happy I didnt get the 2.6s The WTBs have handled NorCal rock gardens and granite really well. Excellent Grip! Also, after being a SRAM guy for years, the Deore drivetrain has really eased my concerns about going back to Shimano. Rock solid hardware there. REALLY happy with my T7 and would not hesitate to recommend Polygon and the T7 to anyone.
ordered a T7 today, also my first full-sus.
really wanted a Deore 12-Speed
also iÂŽve never seen a wild polygon here, so already proud of that ;)
@@erraldstyler Congrats! You're gonna love it! I actually JUST got back from a ride on some gnarly stuff and the bike doesn't cease to impress.
yeah, looking forward to it. geometry really looks good an the specs for the price are close to unbeatable in the current situation. literally nothing with intelligent speccing available here for resonable pricing... so i guess i finally had some luck throwing money at someone haha
gotta admit, there are some things which i dont like, but thats literally the best i could find within my budget and i feel like its a really good decision. really had no fun riding last year (marin san quentin 1) and when i demoÂŽd a pivot firebird it was over with entry level/beginner cheap garbage bikes for me ;)
Great stuff Doddy
Great Video!

@@gucass so true
Literally just got my T8 and I watch this before hand to have an idea on what to do and have ready. Big Thanks and keep up the good work.
Do you like your t8?
@@isaacschmitz4168, I do. I have it in XL and received it in May so I have almost 700 miles on it now. I have done a variety of rides and its held up great. I have a XL and it is heavy out the box, 36lbs, but it wears it weight well. The geo for me was great and required little tweaking for adjustments.
I did do some upgrades to the breaks as I had XT brakes before and can't do without them. One finger breaking is so nice. The Tektro's to me we not Death but I did not like that it would not slow me down enough on high speed with one finger. I had to grab with 2 fingers in order to get the pressure needed and even that isnt as good at the XT brakes. I did even try the metal pads on ICE rotors. That did help the brakes but after 50 miles I got the XT set and never turned back.
Thats the only real thing I changed so far but I do have some Hunt Wheelset on order and planning to run those 1858g wheelsets with some 2.4 XC type tires to see how it all feels. The stock wheel set are heavy but the Tires are great. I like the Dampf and they have held up well but I just got rock slashes on the rear so I changed it to Trail Kings that are similar in pattern but a soft tire feel, all around.
Would I recommend the bike to someone, Yes! Would I purchase it again, Yes! Is it perfect, aside from the weight, its the best bang for buck trail bike you will find and you will have fun with it. If I can get the weight down to 32lbs in XL, I will be happy as it is a bulky beast in the rear.
@@ShaneXCS thanks for all the great information.
Thanks for moving that sweet flying T picđ€đŸđ

Holy hell thats a nice color

Wow. I literally just had this exact bike delivered. What a fantastic video on putting it together and setting it up.

I'm from Indonesian, and my friend have a new Polygon Siskiu T8. Same like your bike in this video. Good Job and have a nice day Doddstar đđđ„đ #GMBNTech #PolygonIndonesia
Love my siskiu D7, i know it's not as fancy as other's siskius but that bike is special for me
9:15 you can run magura a either way up too :)
The thing with people recommending to put grease on the seat post. It can be ok on some bikes, but I have a hardtail with a seatpost that just kept sliding down during rides, no matter how tight I made the clamp. I suggest you use gripping compound instead. It will work like grease to prevent corrosion, but it won't be slippery in an application that relies on friction to work.
Polygon an underrated bike for its price
YT has affordable solid bikes.
A Wolf yes I think the same
Wow great video
Thank you for this, I really want to upgrade to full sus
Make sure that you really consider your trails and needs first though. It's the job of many bike companies to try to make you feel like you need a full suspension bike, when a lot of the time people just end up spending too much money on a bike that they didn't really need and won't get full use out of.
Either way, it's your choice.
I have this bike, the 2020 model. I also have a Schwinn Axum, hard tail. Which one do I ride more? The Schwinn.
Don't get me wrong, the Polygon rides like butter but besides having to constantly lockout for hills, I ride the Schwinn hard because it's basically a $400 bike with some upgrades. If I smash it, it's not a problem. If I smash the Polygon, my pupils turn into $$$$
Getting a new full sus. Norco fluid fs 2 and putting a dpx2 and a 36 on it đ€
The hook and loop Velcro straps make great straps for holding spare tubes or accessories đđđ and reused instead of thrown away
Great tip!
Me too!
Awesome Video Amazing Bike Product IndonesiađŻđŻđŻđŻđ„đ„đ„
FYI Pre-Ordered Polygon Siskiu T8 for USA delivery yesterday, and today its locked again for pre-order on all sizes. They may have sold out the the batch due to the US in mid to late October.
Hi Doddy early in the video you said you would go through how to set the handle bar position as in rolled forward backward basic position did I miss it ?
nice iâm getting a polygon n9 soon
Polygon is the bestđđ

Great video and super helpful as Iâm setting up this exact bike. What size rim tape is best for the tubeless conversion of this bike?
My dream bike!
That frame looks identical to my 2020 Bossnut, and the box for that said made in Indonesia...
Actually, Polygon is an Indonesian company.
Polygon manufacture Calibre bikes. In fact they manufacture the bikes of several brands.
I just finished building my Polygon Siskiu D7 a week ago. đ Wish this video were there, I did not put any grease on the seatpost and the handlebar.
Hi just wanted to add on your video about checking your bolts and and though I would mention the seriousness of that and thought maybe you could make a video or include the extreme safety aspect of checking your bolts .
The main reason is that a couple of days ago I purchased a second hand specialized stumpjumper from someone who had not ridden the bike much at all but had look after the bike well ...thats what I was told .
I went out for a ride last night on the bike and started to hear and feel a click through my pedals so went home and checked it out to find that all 4 chain ring bolts only had about half a turn left on them before they would of fallen out !
That could of been very dangerous in so many different ways depending on if the chain got jammed and locked up the rear wheel or I could of jolted forward and gone over the handle bars .
It would benefit alot of people to check there bikes if they buy second hand when they get them home so I would love for you to do a video and express the important of it and the safety aspect if it isn't done if it comes down to brake caliper bolts being loose and falling out it wel you can guess the rest .
I hope you can do a video and hope this may help alot of people and have alot more confidence it there bikes too knowing they are safe đ
Bangga pakai Polygon đ Indonesia đźđ©
Great video... What are your thoughts on the siskiu t8?
This is convenient, Iâm 14 in September and getting my first full sus this Christmas, itâs called the calibre sentry, calibre bikes are made in the same factory as polygon
Nice
You know you could get a better deal second hand I got my kona carbon dh bike for ÂŁ1250
Allergic to vegans I donât really want to deal with a second hand bike, for 2k I will have rockshox Yari and deluxe, sram nx and guide re brakes, whatâs not to like? Thanks anyway
Yeh but tbh for 2k u can have a look on marketplace, I saw a 2020 mega on there for that the other day! I know Iâm not buying it but it Cld b worth a look just saying
Iâd still recommend a new bike. It wouldnât be beat up and hiding problems, and would last longer.
Great video. I just ordered this bike and having YOU walk me thru the setup is fantastic. Thank you!
What amazing timing. Just received my first FS bike a few days ago. I bought a YT Jeffsy. No idea how to build it though. This has helped me immensely, even though I have some niggles that are driving me insane. I still canât get it together properly so itâs still sitting in my spare room. Thanks for the awesome video, fellas.
I think I need a professional to help me.
I recently got a 2021 giant stance 2, itâs been working great but I still want a little more travel in the rear suspension. Do you guys know if I could put a larger shock on it?
Nice vid
Great vid. Seriously contemplating that T8 for my next bike, replacing my 2014 Stumpjumper. I can justify ÂŁ2k on a bike given current finances, definitely couldn't afford a new Stumpie.
Do you have a vid anywhere reviewing this Siskuh?
Not first but have a nice day
nice shoes!
I've been saving to buy this bike and I'm super excited when I get it to know how to build it up.
I like to add protective frame tape, downtube protectors when the bike is new out of the box as opposed to wishing you did so after the fact. Just never know, especially nowadays with the pricepoints of these bikes to keep them upheld at the best condition you can, while enjoying them.
Great video as always. Iâve had my hand on the button to buy the T8.
Did you get the t8?
@@isaacschmitz4168 Ordered the T8 in mid October. Delivery was originally estimated in November and was pushed out a couple times since. Latest is mid January. Weâll see if that happens but I donât ride much in the winter anyway so not a big deal. Excited for spring though!
