Good call - but the first region trade takes ALL Drazhoath's money anyway, so if he gave me a few hundred for warring the orcs I would just get less later from the region trade so it makes no difference.

Abandoning and reoccupying so it has no garrison was a good idea, but if that didn't work maybe its just bugged. Edit: I have same issue in my campaign, random skaven rebels refuse to take settlement. I found a comment online where the guy said he just abandoned the settlement and the rebels occupied it? Maybe try that?

@@MercytheMad Yeah, I did try that. It didn't work as well sadly. I also tried spawning a new rebel after I owned the settlement, but nothing seems to work. I guess it's just bugged because when I purposely lose a siege battle against the rebels, there were only notifications about losing the battle, but the settlement itself was not sacked or anything. Thank you for the reply though! I really love your guide.

I like fighting almost all the battles manually and chatting with people live, so turns take some time. I know a lot of people like to auto-resolve as much as possible to get through turns as faster but that's not my style, sorry!

Different strokes for different folks. Mercy is as fast as molasses running uphill, but that doesn't seem like the aim of his channel. I like how he takes the time to role play/focus on campaign theme. He also has a great attitude towards the game which is pretty uncommon.

Nice tips! Although I'm not sure I always want to avoid the rebellion. You can farm it for 2 turns to boost Control back up and at the same time recruit units and ambush trap Drazhoath (Draz should be coming towards Vorag around turn 5-6)

No. I never made any ongoing agreement. Breaking a trade agreement, Non aggression pact or Alliance with tank reliability but I never made any agreements I just sold them a settlement.

Actually, after testing some more, I'm not sure anymore 😅 I did notice a few things: in the bone gulch, build a barracks (t1red building) on T1, you get more gold from selling it that way. And sometimes automating the gold in diplomacy gives more gold (much more), and sometimes doing it manually gives much more gold. Make sure to try both. Thanks for the fun trick start!

Yeah, that's weird. I just did it on stream and I DID get the influence before the dilemma - although as you saw in the video it didn't give me the influence till after that time. I guess it bugs sometimes but not always.

I don't think there has ever been a guide for Morathi to confederate the other factions. It's definitely possible, and I have done it before, but it's not the sort of thing you can do in an "X Turns" type guide like this. There are two many variables and it would likely take 30-60 turns to get all the Lords.

Have only played Malakai once really so still figuring him out. I think I'm going to try heading towards Azhag next time

@@MercytheMad I will say though that I think for someone who is more thoroughly familiar with the inner workings of this game it's probably not a problem. Like for example I forgot that disbanding Malus himself and taking him completely out of play means you can just put him back into any existing lord's army by replacing said lord. So when I disbanded his army, I kept him where he was, only to realize that taking Malus himself out of play was somewhat integral to this strategy for a reason that wasn't explained until later. Other stuff was mostly just names of places and factions being said too fast, and I had to keep looking carefully at the screen and pausing to see what you were talking about. I really appreciate this guide regardless though, it has made playing as Malus significantly more fun.

One thing I'd like to ask though, if you can answer, how do you think it's best to proceed after getting the SoK? I find that generally I'm left with a bit of a ramshackle force of dark elves, controlling tiny portions of broken provinces, a huge list of enemies, a non-existent economy, and not enough people to hold down provinces that get attacked. Do you think I should start making some alliances, or just start raiding all those territories near the Shrine of Khaine without worrying about setting down roots?

I don't think I'll go back to this one as there is new content for the game now etc. Sorry! I might start a new campaign at some stage - but no immediate plans, pretty busy with Warhammer at the moment.

I personally don't like mixed teams (feel like they are not "proper") but of course you should feel free to do whatever you find fun! For Elfs - High Elf are the most sturdy (armour 8 almost across the board, best Thrower and good fast catchers) Dark Elfs are also mostly armour 8 but more bashy, but not as fast and not quite as good passers. Wood Elfs and Pro Elfs are the most "Elf Bullshitty" I would say. Wood Elfs with the leaping over people and cage breaking and 1 turn touchdowns. Pro Elfs both fast and good passers, but more fragile than high/Dark Elfs. High and Dark are my favourites.

My take is that Elspeth defends the Empire, but she is also unapologetically ruthless about annihilating heresy whenever she finds it. Averland actually gets taken over by Slaanesh at one point in the Lore(in my head cannon that's the point just before Elspeth comes in and establishes Martial Law, kills the traitors, brings order to the province and returns Averheim to the rightful Elector.
