Also Oglah Khan's Wolfboyz on Chaos Dwarfs. My fear is that they're plucking these DoW units for existing factions as just an homage in case they don't develop DoW... but everything else seems to indicate DoW is coming. - Huge blank area of placeholder factions in the Southern Realms, right in the middle of the map - DoW names in the game files - DoW being the last major faction with an official army book to be added. Hope they hit a homerun with it like Vampire Coast and don't flub it like Kislev/Cathay.
Myrmidia is worshipped in the empire though, and I believe there is a temple of myrmidia in marienburg. It being a mixture of cultures I thought myrmidia would be worshipped more there? Maybe the sigil looks more like manann or varient of marienburg mermaid I guess.
@@MercytheMadoh that's just a variant of Marienburg's mermaid sigil. Myrmidia isnt depicted as a mermaid, she's just an Athena-like human warrior woman with a spear and shield.
Well, the lack of facial hair on this captain is mostly down to her being a woman. *However*, there are multiple different variants of the captain. There is atleast one (bearded) male variant. CA doesn't really do variants for single entity units, unless they're characters. So that MIGHT hint at them being repurposed lord or hero models.
The body and the grunts when pumping are both male. Considering Cathay has full male voice lines and art for all its units in the game files, this reeks of CA making male captains then GW mandating they have last minute female variations tacked on for ESG checks. Corroborated by the recent Custodes drama and Black Rock being second majority shareholder.
@@TaRAAASHBAGSCathay has female voices but they kinda mix with male voices since it's a mixed sex army for jades and celestial dragons But they all look like potatoes so can't tell the face haha This captian could very well be a female but they haven't made voice files for her.
When you look at what ca havnt added yet,thats a whole ton of dlc,i hope we eventually get it all including the rest of the map filled with ind and kuresh.
This + Golgfag Maneater being found in the files + hints towards the Dogs of War during SoC makes me believe we will be getting the DoW/SR as the next DLC with Golgfag as a FLC for Ogres or as one of the DLC characters (maybe a FLF Ogre with a possible DoW start [two races he can fight for] if you own the DLC?)
One part of me is praying for DoW to be added. The other half saw just how crappy GW's new ideas were with Kislev and Cathay, and doesn't want any more of my 5e kino to be further desecrated into proto-AoS slop.
I mean. I don’t see how kislev or Cathay are any less egregious than yknow…fantasy France with bretonnia…and fantasy Germany with the Empire…and fantasy Italy/sicily with Tilea…and Fantasy America with Naggarond because that was literally warhammer fantasy and it was sick
@@alias-yv2ro Way more shallow Flanderizing (ice, bears, harmony), some really awful Aos-tier designs (Saytang, Golden Knight), enormous influx of immersion-breaking gender diversity amongst foot soldiers, dry characters, abandoning anything old that could be considered controversial (Ungols/Gospodars), way too few concrete faction weaknesses... It shows that the Empire and Bretonnia were slow cooked over 40 years whereas nu-Kislev and Cathay were whipped up by comic-book-writing yes-men in a couple years. And no one says Naggarond is America, what are you on?
@@alias-yv2ro nu kislev is a lot more like bears, bears, bears everywhere and magical ice sleds and stuff. Old Kislev was.more like gritty and Slavic and cooler IMo. Less fairy princessy.

Fish men maybe. But low priority. Like Nippon>ind>araby>khuresh>fish Amazon's I don't mind, but the workshop gooners gonna destroy those poor girls. I hate halflings and will go so far as using mods to delete them from my game if I ever see them 😂
@@MercytheMad Its probably just me who wants Menfish. Dogs of War would be easy as you could slide them in as Mercenaries a bit like the way Ogres joined the game then Morph them into Southern Realms etc if the player base responds. Anything is good though, even Factions I don't like.
- DoW has an official armybook - Fishmen are dubious canon at best - Amazons have zero development as a real army, just one unit - Halflings are an actual meme with little presence outside of the Moot So uh, keep hoping?
Legend confirmed on his Archaeon stream a month ago that Dogs of War DLC is coming. Really looking forward to the Southern Realms getting officially beefier because I really like the Cataph's Southern Realms mod. Hopefully Aranessa gets some more pirates too because her Sartosa units really fall off quick
I’m definitely willing to believe this is hinting at Dogs of War. There’s also the Slayer Pirates.

Top priority for me would be dogs of war/Tilea/Estalia. That's why I'm so excited about these possible dogs of war unit models.
