You guys loved my first video to kick off my Warhammer Dogs of War army, which worked out well for me because I was dying to do more! I painted up Lorenzo Lupo to start things going but now I've taken some time to strip/rebase/base everything I have already for Dogs of War(well, almost everything!) so you guys can get an idea of what's to come! It also helps me plan out what units will need the most time so I can keep this project moving along! Let me know what Dogs Of War unit you're most looking forward to seeing painted! If you have any of the models I'm in the market for, please let me know!
As always let me know what you think, plus suggestions for future Old World videos!
We don't have access to full editing this week but please ask any questions about paints etc and we’ll answer everything!
Check out the rest of my Old World playlist and let me know what you want to see soon!

Can confirm, I finished stripping a force of 30 empire knights and 20 crossbowmen with that recently. Although I was having a difficult time scrubbing primer out of the cracks on the crossbowmen. Still have some paint remnants on the minis because of that. I also find that 99% isopropyl will loosen/weaken super glue so you should be able to completely disassemble some models. Personally I needed a mask for that still, the alcohol starts to burn your lungs after a little while.

For stripping acrylic paint from plastic, just use some 90% or higher rubbing alcohol. Let them soak in it for about a half hour and you can tooth brush it right off. Sometimes if they have a LOT of paint it'll take a couple of soaks but it'll get them clean. Give them an hour to dry, give a second scrub under water, to get the alcohol residue off, and you should be good to go.

I love love love love this!!!! Brings back such nostalgia. I also fell in love with DoW when they were first announced. I remember seeing them in White Dwarf (I still have the issue) and the Pikemen was the unit that made me fall in love with the army. Unfortunately due to having over 3k points of Lizardmen, Vampire Counts, Wood Elves, and A small lot of High Elves I just did not have the storage space necessary to devote to them. The unit that I do recall wanting to make was (I dont remember the name) the character that had some sword that whenever it would kill an opposing model you would recreate a skeleton copy of it in his unit. At the time GW had a bits order catalog that had the skeleton versions of a dwarf, a skaven, a lizardman, etc. and I dreamed of placing that unit on the battlefield. Thank you for sharing!

So cool! I love all the pikemen! Such cool models and looks amazing lined up. If you want the front row uniform can't you do like a small unit filler "diorama" with the leadership in the middle and designate three front row guys as tokens for gamings sake?
For sure go for a full kislev detachment later! Lovely models and would fit just fine as its already a big mix of esthetics. Only you have to get the "wing" glued on to the back of the bannerbearer for the winged hussars. Drives me crazy thats he's missing his! :D
Also, the leaders of roman legions had their crest sideways to distinguish them from the regular troops who have the "straight" mohawk crest. So Lorenzo fits just fine!

Watching your work and how you're able to "dumb things down" for painting and all of that has been a huge thing for me. My own dream armies are my own sculpts for 30K Wordbrearers and Ultramarines, same for 40K. Both sprinkled with the stuff like Swords of Calth, Ventris and Ventanus, etc. Similarly with the Old World I just keep thinking of things to create for it. As far as I can remember, they'd even be legal for play in WH World, even if they were 3D printed. They'd be fully mine, not someone else's.
Back in the day when I was applying for a couple of positions at GW, one of the digital products I wanted to produce for them was a VR hangout where you could play the games in peace with others, learn them. Free play stuff, but you could also build your own digital army there. You purchased physical product and you'd get the same in VR, with VR you'd have gotten a coupon you could redeem to get smaller price for the product. You could have taken any model in VR, base it, change it, it'd be watermarked and then purchase the STL or print for it from GW. Then just paint it in VR to decide on the scheme or for your army, as well as paint it IRL. So the dream of fully my own armies has been with me for a long time.

My wife bought a bunch of Dwarves back in the day and her first purchase was a box of Regiments of Renown Dwarves which she blocked in the base colours but never took it further. A mate had 24 of those Voland venators(obviously when they were cheaper!) really spectacular with their golden armour. Their shields were just standard small heaters with a V which should be easy to replace. I think the horses were just the standard GW armoured horse used by Empire knights and might be cheap on eBay.If you really struggle I think you could add late medieval Gothic knights to supplement them

DoW are my favourite mini line GW ever produced - most of mine are converted to wield lasguns as guardsmen (Leopard, Besiegers, Lost Legion, Marksmen), based as Rough Riders, or slotted in to various Mordheim warbands. Even my galloper guns are sporting autocannons (which is a pity, I would convert them back if I could find the original cannon part).

11:35 tip: put a little "puddle" of bicarb under each foot before you glue the mini down. Hold him in place then add a drop of CA. The bicarb soaks up the glue and fills the gap somewhat. Virtually instant bond, and rock solid. No propping miniatures up. Cheap as chips, too!
