Not all plus size women have the same body shape. I am tall and have amazing legs so I wear minis. I can also wear horizontal stripes depending on where the stripes are placed. I rarely show my waist line, instead I wear jackets whether casual (including jean jackets!), business or formal that cut in at the waist. Everyone has to figure out their own body type and know what works for them. A few of these tips work for me but most don't.

I can't disagree. I live in a rural area of the US. I don't know how women dress in the city, but in my part of the country athleisure styles have become everyday wear for many women. I used to do this, too, but I have seen the light! I agree that leggings, hoodies, and oversized t-shirts need to stay at home or in the gym.

It probably helps to be tall and have a sporty figure. She doesn’t have a hourglass figure she has a slight inverted triangle figure. She obviously listened to the powers that be regarding how to dress for her body type.

Baseball caps...they are horribly unattractive regardless of the gender of the wearer. Shorts....there are very few British women who look good in shorts, unless very beautifully tailored and the wearer has great legs...(sadly I don't). Women over 30 in tiny denim cutoffs...they actually need an intervention 😂....give them back to the teenagers. Camisole tops are another one I'd never buy, they just look so uncomfortable....particularly with a chunky bra underneath the spaghetti straps. I don't spend money on false nails or hair either, and just the thought of rubbing in all the chemicals in fake tan would put me off ever buying it. Thanks for a great episode X

I’m really loving the off the shoulder navy top. I love the top with the jeans. I actually liked the cos skirt with the top untucked. The red trousers look fab! Not trendy timeless😊 Where are the black shoes from? Are they comfortable? After seeing what you mean about the juction with the red trousers - perhaps a belt with the cos skirt would create a nicer waistline - I just thought the two materials were nice together-very feminine and pretty. The pointed toe shoes are amazing. I find as a size 14/16 US I have to search a little longer for upscale brands that have nice fit for my body type. A dear friend once taught me that I can look great at any size if the garment is classy and fits right. And I don't wear leggings outside of the gym...nope.😀

I love this outfit so much, it's so pretty and practical both!

I've found some similar dresses in Ross store last week (US sizes 16-18). Some are pure cotton, others are cotton/polyester mix, ranging from $16-25 dollars. The downside is that you'll have to dig through a lot of weird dresses to find them, but that makes the reward of finding one (or more) great dresses even sweeter. 😀👗

Alas, Marie-Anne, I think denim is dreadful no matter in what style. You will never catch me in it. I don't have a pair of jeans. Tailored, tailored, tailored is my rule. Leggings (black, please) make the cut as day wear ONLY if you pair them with a well cut tunic (meaning, the edge goes mid-tights), and you choose some cute flats to go with them. And the fabric of the leggings need to be comfortable, not a shapewear compression affair!

I would like a solution for my touching thighs. I have to wear trousers even in 40 Celsius. The tricks I saw so far either messy and has no effect over 20 minutes(cream, powder) or cause extra heat in the summer ( wide elastic band), and show through the fabric. If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.
