Which Winter Boots are your favourite? If you enjoyed this you will love the 10 shoe styles every woman needs czcams.com/video/XeZKiYPlD3s/video.html
I live in Texas! My favorite brand for western boots is Lucchese. Very unique and you can even get a custom pair made just for you! Every boot you featured here today is already in my closet! I think that Texas might just be the "boot" capital of the USA.😊
Thank goodness the leather craft industry is still alive.
Just bought my first pair of calf hair by Tecovas. They are the bomb!
@@lu_re7198 I agree! My home is full of pelts, fur and leather from sheep, cattle and bison...it's the Texas way!!❤
@@cathylehman7538I agree! Tecova makes a great boot!
Must be cozy in the winter. All you need is a crackling fireplace, and a floppy eared dog at your feet. 😄
Great and timeless choices. I have them all except the kitten heel cos i dont like it.
The best are anckle boots that are comfy. Love westerns and chelsea boots, i have combats too. I buy classic boots cos they last for years, a must for me is a navy one and a maroon boot.
Loved this, dear Marie-Anne. As a shoe girl I enjoyed this so much. My all time favourites are mid heel ankle boots, riding boots, Chelsea and classic long boots for winter. Your hair looks fabulous and love your uplifting energy which helps me keep motivated. Merci beaucoup 🙏🏻🌹
I am glad you enjoyed it AW 😘
Very pretty portrait of yours, A. Williams!
@@elisabethlinz4256 thank you 🙂
I have suede tall boots, Western boots, combat boots and off white wedge Chelsea boots. Low heel. I love them
from Sharon: very interesting style ideas. I feel here in Canada though, we wear boots day after day for so many months; they need to have a tread and a moderate heel for the snow, and they are often so over-insulated, making your feet too warm, especially when shopping. So many things to look out for, its really a hunt for feminine, stylish but useable boots.
For extreme weather you need to dress for it for safety Sharon ⛄️
Yes, Alas, we have to factor in non-slip treads on boots for safety in winter. I enjoy your fashion commentaries and suggestions, especially when you show the examples in photos or in real life. It adds a lot to the explanations. Really well done!
They're there as I'm just across the border. Waterproof too.
This was a wonderful video! I just adore boots! I own MANY!
I would love to see your collection Norma 😃
A practical yet feminine low heel is one seldom seen now, though it was popular for centuries. The French Heel, also called the “Louis” heel, after King Louis XIV, features a curved “waist,” with a flare at the bottom. It offers more stability than a stiletto, without looking clunky. Many Victorian shoes and boots were similar. I can only assume it is too expensive to manufacture now, sadly. Although I recently saw Queen Letizia wearing black heels with a similar heel, which surprised me. I hope she sets a trend!
I have just bought my first pair of combat boots at 66! They are black patent but the twist is the eyelets have a little diamanté , looks great peeping out from under a skirt , and mostly hidden under a straight leg jean ! J’adore!!
Fantastic Franma 😃
I adore a pointed toe shoe/boot!
😃👍
combat boots and biker boots are my very favorite! and you look exceptionally beautiful in this video, Marie Anne
Awww merci Lucja x
When chunky combat boots came back in style, I just pulled out my 30-year old black leather Rockports. They look identical to those sold now, are in perfect condition and don’t need breaking in. I never part with good leather footwear. I don’t buy super-trendy footwear, the classic styles always come back. Of my whole wardrobe purchases, I have the biggest flop rate with shoes because of unexpected comfort problems, I keep only one-third to one-half of what I buy online. So, I keep any that prove to be comfy when actually worn for a hour or so at home.
Now that is great cost per wear Kimberly 😃
I’m so glad riding boots never go out of style. I invested in a lovely pair of Ralph Lauren last year that I had been wanting for a while.
They sound wonderful Mercedes 😃
My winter wardrobe consists of luxurious merino/cashmere mens long underwear. Red, with the fancy coveted hatch back bathroom feature and wooden buttons down the front. So chic.
Don't hate me for rocking the look with a coffee and a book by the wood stove.
Knee high only as alas the ankle type boot now hurt my old skin haha
I live in Canada. Most of these boots would not be suitable for our icy cold streets. We would probably break our necks! Still love you, Marie-Anne!
Indeed Carol - my sister lives in Montreal and her winters are much more extreme than here 😃
Thank you for this great video! I'm French too and, yes to riding boots, mid-high heel boots and ankle boots, Chelsea boots, even cowboy (cowgirl :) boots. They are my favourites! But no to kitten heels boot because of the disproportion between the thin, delicate heel and the large tall part of the boot; they also make the foot look a mile long, in my humble opinion. Kitten heels boots suit petite ladies better I think. I also have a pair of flat heel laced ankle boot bought in Chamonix over 30 years ago, the outside is beautiful brown leather and the inside sheep wool, with non-slippery soles. They are still in amazing condition, even though they've walked in snow many times, I love them :)
I live in the snowy Great Lakes area of New York. I’m talking 10+ inches of snow at a time very often! Most of your shoes are wearable in that though they don’t seem very warm or water proof. I buy Blondo and La Canadienne boots that are waterproof and many are quite warm. Anything higher than 2 inches is a no go for me with the snow and ice.
My wardrobe does indeed reflect where I live and the prevailing weather conditions Lili
Love all the styles of these boots, particularly the riding boots. I do have a good selection of boots which are so versatile 🙂
I love riding and Chelsea boots best. Thank you for sharing this video
My pleasure Caroline x
Will you create a video that instructs us how to maintain the classic style favorites?
I will see what I can do Lydia in the meantime there is this www.marieannelecoeur.com/chic-ology.html and this www.marieannelecoeur.com/timeless.html 😘
Great vid.
Merci beaucoup, Marie Anne!
Niente biker boots e combact boots ✖️ 😅... Tutti gli altri belli e chic 👌 🌹 ❤
Good day Marie Anne, lovely video. 👍👏
I’ve been a lover of western style, low heeled boots for years. Short, medium or tall heights. Super easy to walk in. Thanks for this video! ❤
You're very welcome 😘
To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.
I have the Frye western low heel, the combat boot & a riding boot all in black.
Smart and fun🎉
Great Video again. A little suggestion for other women with big feet (43 European) trying to find nice leather boots: Alohas and Anonymus Copenhagen have some nice styles and the leathers are soft. They are of course less sturdy than others, but for sturdy / casual boots (although Anne-Marie hates then for sure 🙂) are Doc Martens, especially the long, knee high lace up ones… any other suggestions? These boots are all expensive (in my view), but with sales going on, it’s worth it, really hard to find elegant boots in big sizes, unles you want to pay Saint Laurnet prices.
I had a recommendation to Duo Boots by FCL Nicky Fraser Maj - see if they have what you need 😘
Everything looks gorgeous! And that's such a beautiful outfit you're wearing
Merci Al and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you 🎄
I'm loving this video Marie-Anne! very informative, thank you for sharing with us! I'm loving the blazer you're wearing in this video, you look amazing!
Merci keodi1 x
Bonjour, Marie-Anne, thank you for all the wonderful videos you have presented for us this year. I hope you all have a lovely holiday season.
Merci Joanne and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too 🎄
Wonderful Video again. I like boots very much and I have several pairs of them, for automn/early spring until the coldest winter, including hiking boots (I like hiking). Thank you for this wonderful Video.
You are very welcome Inge x
Good day! Marie-Anne, my favorite boots are the kitten heel boots. I love your black jacket. Thank you for sharing your fashion trend expertise. Have a wonderful day ❤
You are very welcome Ricarda x
I own combat boots in black and tan, mid heel boots in black, riding boots in black. But, my most worn boots here in Quebec, Canada, are my ugly -40c Baffin boots. Unfortunately we get so much snow that I have no choice.☹️
Always dress for the weather Beverly 😃 style comes second in those situations 😘
Fabulous AND informative! 2024 will be a fun year for fashion ( Chelsea and mid heel boots are staples in my closet). 🎉
Merco Rosita 😘
I like so many of these. My problem has always been finding boots that accommodate and flatter my slim ankles and curvy calves! 🤔
I have this Nicky czcams.com/video/3N03fnuIQyw/video.html 😘
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Thank you!
I was generously handed down a barely-worn pair of classic cowboy boots -- in red! Simple, but striking. Marie-Anne, I am hoping to summon summon the confidence to wear them -- maybe with jeans and a navy silk blouse?
Oh My Gosh they sound amazing 😃 keep everything simple and make them the Star 😃
Cowboy boots, Chesley boots in tan and black.🎉
I think I have a type of all the boots except high heels just low. Covers warm socks that can scrunch up and not look good as it's hard to find long enough pants. Then snow boots for deep snow in the northern states. Brrr.
Always dress for the weather ⛄️
Hi Marie-Anne, You look well and glowing.
I love boots. I have always had black riding boots throughout my life. Happy the kitten heel is back again. I do enjoy heels, but with age, l tend to put comfort first. I need to get😅 cowboy boots. The joy of living in the southern hemisphere l have months to sort out my winter wardrobe. Thank you for another fabulous video. Have a great week.
Merci Carol - you too x
Hi Marie-Anne! I'm looking for knee high tan suede boots with a lower heel. Great video! Thank you for all of your awesome videos throughout the year! Have a joyous Christmas with family and friends!! xx
Merci Celia and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours as well 🎄
Another great video Marie-Anne. I love, love, love boots and just bought 2 pairs of riding boots in black and cognac. Like you said, this style is great with sweater dresses. I think I will skip biker boots.
😘
❤️ from Long Island, NY. 🇺🇸
🇺🇸❤️
I love all of your suggestions. I wear primarily high-heeled, high boots to skirts/suits; black suede Chelsea boots to jeans in rain/snowstorms; high-heel, suede black booties to black trousers/elegant black jeans with crystals accentuating the length of the slit. I wear blue/yellow snakeskin medium height boots with corduroys & ostrich caramel booties with white or beige wool trousers & chocolate brown combat boots with white corduroys/brown velvet/brown herringbone wool trousers. My favorite boots are black, high-heeled almond toe leather boots with a gold chain used as stitching ornament around the front half of the boot & gold hooks for lacing. Every year, I have to check my closet to see what I have. My favorite brands are Stuart Weitzman, Aquatalia, Ron White, La Canadienne. I have dreamt of Frye cowboy boots to go with my Stetson, but they'll have to wait.
Marie-Anne which brands/styles do you wear? Put a video together showing your boots with the outfits that you prefer.
I will see what I can do about that boots video Pearl 😃
I have all of the styles. I use the motorcycle boots….. for riding the motorcycle!
🏍️😎
I wear mostly skirts and dresses and I love boots, especially knee-high or thigh-high ones. I have lots of ankle boots, too. I’m warmer and feel much better-dressed in leather boots than sneakers, and I choose 2-inch heeled ones to give me some extra height. Thanks for the update❤
You are very welcome Kimberly -0 I know how much you love boots 😉
Yes to cowboy (have many!) and riding/chelsea (have a few) and combat (have many!). I’m with you except I will never again wear any kind of shoe or boot that makes me balance my heel on a tippy spike, not even a short one. It is so ridiculous I can’t believe I ever fell for it, but I was young and foolish! It’s not that I “can’t” wear it, it’s that I won’t.
I never wear shoes in winter, always boots. They offer more support to my ankles. I love riding boots, have worn them for 40 years (not the same pair!) And a neat Chelsea type boot with trousers for everyday. Also cute ankle boots with a Louis heel for a more dressed up look. And a loose mid calf casual pair for winter walking. Thank you, Marie-Anne, good to see my boots choices are still on-point!
😃👍
I love Louis heels but never see them. Which brand is yours? I wish they'd come back in style.
My one hope is that there will be better choices of quality tall leather boots for those of us with larger calves. The struggle has been real for me for the past 25 years. The manufacturers just all assume everyone has skinny calves 🙄.
I am afraid they cut costs by using less and less leather which leads to slimmer fitting boots 🙁
I loved the presentation on the boots. Very femine and very versatile. I live in an area where the weather becomes very cold and icy. I need a recommendation of a boot that will keep the feet warm and will stay dry while dealing with ice and snow.
You can look at Pajar boots. They are made for cold Canadian winters where one day we have freezing rain and snow the next day, making everything treacherously slippery.
For extreme weather you need specialist boots Regina 😃 I think FCL Manon has made a suggestion for you x
Loving all the boots💕 I’m hoping to find a taller pair with a heel. I really love the kitten heel, but I wouldn’t mind it a little chunkier. I tried on a beautiful black pair today but they were a bit too high and my ankles were hurting. The lower white pair was out of my size. I have riding boots and flat ankle boots that I wear regularly. Thank you Marie-Anne. ❤
I hope you find what you are looking for 😃
my favourite boots would be long black boots with high heels but as I don't find heels very comfortable, I have opted for riding boots which I find very versatile and a pair of dark red suede ankle boots which I've had almost a decade and are still going strong!
Heel height is always a matter of preference and stability Steph 👍
Miss Marie-Anne darling great video for all the boots and your lovely black jacket too my Beautiful Teacher l love you 😘❤️
Merci Hector
You're welcome my sweet queen
I would like to get a pair of classic riding boots 👢, however I wonder if they’re really hard to put on and take off? I like boots with a discreet zipper. I also want a pair of nude ankle boots. It’s been a pleasure discovering your channel this year. Have a wonderful Xmas 🤶
Merci Ms A and I am very glad you enjoy my channel 😘 and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too 🎄
I love the kitten heels. I gave up combat boots when I left serving in the USAF. Never again. I have kitten-heel leather slouch boots, kitten-heel leather ankle boots, and a suede tall boot with medium heels. I live in Texas so I have cowboy boots. I did buy a pair of Betsey Johnson western boots in turquoise rhinestones. They are fab with a fringe skirt.
Merci for your service Morgan 🙏 those western boots sound fab 😃
Hello dear Marie- Anne, I hope you had a lovely weekend!
I have all of them except for the kitten heels-pointed boots and biker boots. The first type because they are not very good for your feet as they are very narrow, and the last ones because I think they are to chunky and add to much bulk to my silhouette.
Wish you a nice start into the new week! Besos, Sonia
Merci Sonia 😘
Hi, Marie-Anne, I am not young. I bought thrifted pair of Harley Davidson motto boots. They are so comfortable with the rubber, thick sole. Recently, I had to take a long flight, etc. I wore those boots and my otherwise troublesome feet were fine at the end of the day. I like the contrast vibe it gives to my personality. I have a structured, classic corporate job and dress for work. Even though I will never get on a Harley, I love looking like a chick that would. It is an expression of my personality.
Never say never!
They sound fantastic Cathy 😃
I too love the Harley look!!
I would love to see your suggestio ns to snow boot. Those who live in winter lands can't use such shoes during snow season.
Sadly as we do not have snow here in Normandie I feel unable to make a recommendation Rafaella 🙁
Try CZcamsr Alyssa Beltempo a Canadian stylist, I am pretty sure she has at least one video on winter styles.
I have done a collab with Alyssa some time ago - she is lovely ❤️
I have done a collab with Alyssa some time ago she is lovely ❤️
I can do without the biker boots, but I can see how the younger fashionistas are drawn to them. I have all the styles except the kitten heels and the biker boots. My favorite is the mid heel ankle boots. Thanks for another terrific video.
Glad you enjoyed it Diane x
What they call combat boots now, we used to call snow boots when I was a kid. Hideous with skirts unless you are carrying your good shoes in a bag to change into when you reach your destination. What next? Stilettos with overalls?
That was big in the 80s Selective Outrage 😃
I have trouble styling the pair of brown riding boots I have. It is very comfortable, but as I live in Houston, the winter is never cold enough for me to wear it with pants . With skirts, the shaft of the boots is not closely fit to my legs, thus doesn't look streamlined like the dressy knee high boots. I am trying to figure out how to wear it more. Any suggestions?
You could try thick socks to pad out the boot Little Lady 🧦🧦
Hello MarieAnne, what brand or type of high boots would you recommend for wide calf ladies?
I know that many ladies have trouble finding boots to fit in the calf - sadly many are cutting down on the amount of material needed to make them to save cost/boost profit. It is a question of trying to find a wider fitting boot. I hope that any ladies who find such a brand will give the brand a shoutout here 😃
Thank you.
Hey, I'm the first in! Your hair looks lovely, did you change stylists?
Merci Dingle - I am still with the same stylist - and you just reminded me I need to make an appointment 😃
Very nice cut.
🤗
Can you tell me if over the knee boots are out of style, or is it still okay to wear them with knit dresses?
I have seen them in some articles worn with shorter knit dresses Teresa - there is in fact one in the thumbnail I think - I think you have to be slim and gamine to make it work 😃
I don't think that is me, haha!
No to combat and biker boots but the rest are good
I completely agree. I’m not much of a fan of the boots that come only part way up the calf either, especially with skirts and dresses. They form a line across the widest part of the leg, which IMHO is neither chic nor elegant. I have all the other boots except the first style shown, plus some knee-high Hunter rubber boots and some snow boots, which bow to the elements and not fashion. I do appreciate that Marie Anne’s honest comments that some styles aren’t to her taste. “Trend” does not always equal “style.” 🇨🇦
They are certainly a matter of taste Tonya 😃
Exactly right Elizabeth - only pick the trends you like and that suit and flatter you 👍
Everyone talking about high boots and I’m too small for them. They look as if I’m wearing my mom’s boots lol I appreciate when people talk about ankle boots. They look most flattering on me.
Knowing what suits you and what to avoid is very French Chic Heidy 👍 never worry that there is something you can't wear put all your focus on what you can 😃
@@MarieAnneLecoeur I agree with you! Thank you for your videos!!
Hello Marie-Anne. Boots are so expensive if I buy any then I want them to last at least 10 years. Longer than that maybe.
I have tan riding boots that I practically live in during autumn and winter. Not that I “ride” by the way 😁 I’m a bit dubious about lug soles . I don’t know if they can be reheeled. If they need it, then what? Anyone tell me if I’m wrong.
Lug Soled shoes are a problem if they need resoleing mind you they shouldn't wear through 😉
Lovely lovely boots; unfortunately I live in a year-long climate 😢😢.
I have a pair of plain, flat black ankle boots for everyday wear. For going out I have a pair of flat, black ankle boots with a faux fur trim. For occasions I have a pair of Victorian style ankle boots with a small heel. I also have a pair of combat boots in black.
You are all set for winter Susan 😃👍
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Yes Marie Anne I am all set!
Can't abide clumpy chunky unfeminine boots however fashionable they are deemed to be. Chelsea boots and riding boots and good quality rubber wellingtons are the only winter footwear I want or need. I've shrunk from 5ft 10 and 3/4 to about 5ft 9 and a half but still don't need any type of kitten heel to elongate either my feet or legs, thank you! Style beats fashion hands down every time in my book.
Style is the way Susan 👍
❤️🔥🙏💝👏☃️🌨️❄️
😍🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖💖💜💜💜💐🌹🙏🙏👍
Wow, I am shocked that I have every one of these styles except the biker boots. They are not quite my style.
Me neither Teresa 😃
PS - Please refresh me -- have you ever done a vid on BUSTING FRENCH MYTHS?
any particular myths in mind Ms B?
@@MarieAnneLecoeur 1. The French hate Americans, 2. The French smoke to keep thin, 3. The French are rude -- none of these have I ever come across -- TG!
No combat boots for this retiree. Bikers can use these combat boots. Merry Christmas!
And Merry Christmas to you too Barb x🎄
Are CROC boots in? Please say no...
Not with me or anyone remotely stylish Heidi 😃
Those boots are def made for walking.
So exactly the same that is also trendy everyehere
I have a pair of nice riding boots in black and tan. There’s only one problem: they smell of horses😂
🐎❤️
Loved all the boot selections except the combat boots...think I'll skip those.
Really dislike the biker boots. Not my style at all
