The beautiful Bally, I’ve missed seeing Bally shops in London’s street and shopping centre. I was in my late teen, early twenties that I started to buy Bally shoes and bags.... absolutely gorgeous I gave them all to my mum except one broken bag that I think it is still in my garage as I cannot throw it away. You are lucky to be able to wear a heal that high on the nude courts....those days are over for me now .( I have spine problem) but I do a boot ..with a small heal low block healed shoe .... You may buy something for $50 thinking it is a good deal but you wear it once, you may have something that coast $1500 but you wear it for eighteen years, what’s the better deal, think of the cost per wear. Love them all. It is amazing you have had those lovely boots for so long. I think shoe repair is a dying trade here in the US. I can only find one person within a 75-mile radius that still does this.
Hello Marie-Ann. In the UK Boots are not sold in boxes but you can have the original box with shoes. Top of my list is to buy a ‘nude’ pair for the summer with maybe a kitten heel as I can no longer wear stilettos. I also like the burgundy and black shoes they would make a nice change, however as I live in the Countryside , the brogues are top of the list for pavement walking. Lots of really great advice and much appreciated. Thank you xx

I was surprised to see that many open shoes. My favorite winter schoes are all with warm (fake) fur/lamb skin lining. My broughes are autumnal. I prefer good quality shoes (for my spines/joints health), so they tend to be expensive, so I want to get the most wear of them
Love the black suede laced boots. I would add a black wedged heel shoe if you are often subject to cobblestones or uneven pavements. My six - brown leather Clark mules for the house, those black wedged shoes, mine has a Chanel style patent cap toe and heel, black short Chelsea boots that I wear almost every day, tan Ralph Loren riding boots, brown hiking boots with a strong sole for foul weather and classic olive Hunter rain boots because winters in KY are mild with a dusting of snow and lots of rain. I visit the cobbler often for maintenance.

Marie Anne I really like your winter shoe collection. I own shoes very similar to these. I have noticed however that I don’t wear my dark brown leather Burberry Brogues very often and I’m not sure if it’s because i feel as though I’m not pairing them properly in an outfit. I’m curios what you would suggest. I am five feet tall and slim. I am a pear shape. I am 55, retired and prefer to wear denim or “cigarette” style pants which I own in black. I usually wear fitted cotton shirts, cashmere sweaters or fitted blazers. I don’t like wearing skirts or dresses above my knees anymore so I don’t usually pair these shoes with dresses/skirts Plus I honestly don’t own many dress/skirts right now anyway. Are there certain body types that should NOT wear certain shoes? This would be a great video for the future. Show types based on body type and how to style the shoes accordingly

One example of that: i really love the idea of brogues, but in my large size (41 French), they suddenly look a lot less nice (more boat-like) than the ones displayed in shops (usually size 37). They become especially ridiculous when wearing a dress. Do you have any suggestions for flat winter shoes that look good in big sizes as well?

I like them all but the patent flat brougues and nude heels would not be fitting to my stature and frame,colour etc. All else I would snap up in a moment.
