This video is my favorite so far, I love seeing you model all of your dresses and how you style them. When my daughter was in school we would shop for her clothes then run home and see how many outfits we could make out of items she already had in her closet. It was so much fun! To this day when she shops she keeps within her “colors” and has hundreds of outfits to mix and match. When I think about my daughter and I shopping, the question We would ask each other was, do you think this would go with the skirt, sweater or slacks you/I already have? What came so naturally to me shopping for my daughter totally evades me shopping for myself. Thank you for jogging my memory and for also showing me how women in my age group can style a beautiful wardrobe.

I love your gray short sleeved dress
I do this every winter. I just found a gorgeous wool dress with Amber jeweled front, a sleeveless shift dress never worn for $5 at Consignment .
Last week I wore it layered with an animal print sweater underneath and got so many compliments of how wonderful I looked. I never shy away from dresses in the winter time .

I do wear dresses in winter and I am very cold natured. I love your suggestions. I enjoy seeing your outfits modeled. I wear the same classic style. I have clothes I have worn for years. Classic is always in style.
Bonjour Marie Anne i Love this Video on Winter Dresses, Very Chic and Classic and i love the belts with it,i too am wearing belts at the moment and went out last week with a blk dress,matt 40 den tights and a thin Cheetah belt and suede ankle boots with a blk jkt and it worked well , the shape of your dresses work well and flatter the figure and you are so right about the shoes,i also love your modeling at the end ! Great Idea X

Terrific examples something for everyone I specially like seeing some of the above the knee dresses with black tights I think you can get away with that at any age. In the summertime I prefer a midi length

I love to wear shorter winter dresses with either woolen tights or leggings and a low healed ankle boot. This is my winter uniform in Scotland. I also like opaque tights with black ballet flats. I am small so I keep patterns minimal. I have a Frey Wille enamel bangle which gives me a pop of colour but mostly I stick to monochrome

Me, too! And I love to see other women wearing dresses! I wish that more women wore dresses more often; for that matter, I wish more men wore suits and jackets more often. :)
We have become such a very casual society. I think if we dressed better we may even treat each other better? Maybe I am wrong, but I think there could be a psychological connection between how we dress and how we regard ourselves and others. When I am in a dress or skirt I feel both more confident and more feminine, a great feeling! I also have noticed that people at work and out and about treat me differently when I do not wear a dress. Interesting. Well, I know i feel better about myself when I put myself in value with a dressier outfit and a "dressier" outlook! If it also makes others treat me better, too, then I appreciate that a lot and I am grateful.
P.S. I don't mean "better" as in "expensive" per se, just "better" as in dressing up a little and with more care to present our best self!

Hi Anne-Marie, enjoyed your video with reservations tho, I love the French chic style. I don't do short sleeves in winter and the problem with layering as you have, sweater under a dress, it doesn't always work because you either have too much bulk and it just looks a mess, or different fibres fight each other and you are forever adjusting them. So for me it's layers on top. Tights and skirts yes, especially in the cold weather. I feel the cold. No minis for me but they suit your figure well. My compromise in winter are tailored culottes instead. ❤

I live in Northern Michigan, and temperatures can easily drop to minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit; even minus 30!!! I like wearing dresses or skirts to church, or special events. Mine are super long; to hide ski underwear! My challenge is to find boots to keep my feet warm AND to go with a dress... and I've got big feet, too...
