I was looking at doing something like this when you did the pizza box encounters. I love the sliding wall to make secret doors/passages.
In this instance the walls just slide to allow the box to close... but they do have some potential for other uses in the future :)

There are two braziers on the back wall, with hot-glue flames, if that's what you mean. Behind them were two air-holes in the pizza box - so I poked a couple of those cheap (battery powered) tea-lights through the holes to make it look like the flames are glowing :)

Love this. A awesome and great idea , along with cardstock "mini's" or skinny mini's quick and portable for the traveling DM. I could even see adapting Hero /Warhammer Quest into this.
Yeah, if I was a better artist, I'd include some paper standees too - but I'm not very good at that kind of thing.
I'm reading through your Age of Shadow stuff at the moment, really like it so far. The travel and encounters are really good, the enchanted forest stuff, really cleverly thought out. The whole time I was reading it I was thinking about the Hobbit with maybe a touch of Snow White and the Huntsman. I could really see it working with old MERP modules very well. Loving it.
Thanks for picking it up - glad you're enjoying it. (though I do sometimes toy with the idea of tidying a few things up, and doing a 2nd edition... but the print & paste stuff keeps me super busy :) )
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Maybe you could do little updates in the 'Neath the Shadow zine? A rules update, an adventure outline and a monster, rumour or item... That could work but either way, I've found it very useful.

Awesome! The outside could be made to be stackable building exteriors for outdoor scenes.
Yeah... I'm going to mention (in the final video) that folks can also texture the outside with some of my other textures if they like :) (perhaps with a stone/dirt pattern around the outside and a grassy pattern on top)

Glad you like it (this prototype looks a bit rough in places... as I had to tear a few things out and re-do them to make it work better - but I think everything is sorted now :) ).
