What a lovely dangerous trap - love it
Glad you like it (I suspect the players might have other opinions though :) ).
Not to sound like a spellcaster on main but... The tiny book is so adorable
Your trap is genius! I've always struggled incorporating traps because I felt like i always made them boring. Giving them a time limit is way better! Especially if they awaken whatever entity is sealed with the ritual 😈
Yeah... hopefully this one will prove to be a bit more 'interesting' for the players to interact with :)
Love that trap. I can't wait to spring it on my players
Hope it goes well 🤞
Its a great video. I really like the mix of crafting and the RPG element that you provide in these build alongs. Its like all I've got left to do is supply the players!
As I build these elements I try to imagine what's left to build based on what's left on the printed textures... its probably just me who plays that game though...
Thanks (oh... and I'm sure you're not the only one :) ).
I really loved the book thingie! And your traps are devious and ingenious!
Glad you liked them 🙂
That is awesome!!! The trap is super cool!!
Great stuff as always! Love watching these!
Thanks. Glad you're enjoying them so far :)
Thanks for the video! This just gets better and better!
No probs. Glad you think so :)
The pit trap is very elegantly designed. I will have to use it against my players 😉(Also awesome animation)
Thanks :) - here's hoping the players 'enjoy' it!
I love the idea of having a visual aid on the water level. Makes it so much more dramatic than just saying “the water raises 3 feet”. Nice one. Keep up the great work :)
Will do!
That trap is wicked
Even though it's not super deadly - I think it will make most players panic to begin with :)
that trap is viscious and i love it lol
😈
I prefer "Hellhound" myself for the puzzle answer... (Only 1 'H' I know) But a DM shows a bunch of mythological statues, and of all the different statues you present to your players of (say) a dragon, a cyclops, a Harpy, a Minotaur, a unicorn, and the Cerberus (or hell hound) that's the correct one... but to each their own?! Spellbound is great too!
What would also be great was if all upper and lowercase letters were available... then you could make up more and reuse this for a multiple puzzle doors theme... or something else?!
I love these PnP videos and builds!!!! Awesome as always!
Spellbound isn't really an answer to any of the puzzles here - it just happens to be a ten letter word that can be made from the letters :) (just in case the GM would like to incorporate that into their game somehow).
The real puzzle comes later on (and the fact that some of the letters are larger than the others plays a big part... it'll probably make more sense when I do the final video ;) ).
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Yeah... I'm sure. Your creativity sparks further creativity... that's how good you are. I like to reuse props in my DnD game, but with a newness to them. I do both, theater of the mind with props. My players LOVE your stuff!!! Look forward to the rest!!!
You could always have hellbound as the letters. Spawning a hell daemon or something similar?
@@kenvyn123 yeah, a lot of things work... These props for the game are so good, I'd like to reuse them. Come up with new puzzles for them. Can't wait for Kris to get to what he's planning. 👍
Awesome!
Thanks :)
When I first saw that drain tile, I never expected it to be a pit trap. Hope I don't drown🙂
Perhaps the players won't expect it either 😈
Great simple encounter. Now to see what's behind door number three.
I'm sure it's perfectly safe... right?
😅
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Absolutely!! LOL
Great ideas there!
Thanks :)
Another brilliant build! You’re really elevating the craft and it’s very inspiring.
Thanks for the kind words.
Fantastic!
:) Thanks :)
You know you're spoiling the players for the rest of us. Fabulous stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it (hopefully the players will too ;) ).
This is great
So, you fall into the pit, the bear trap slams shut, holding the character in place, and then . . . corrosive acid starts filling the chamber. Mwahahahahahahahahahaha!
To quote Stormbringer; I was ever a thousand times more evil than thou art! Mwahahahahahahahahaha!
Yeah. If you have a higher level party, you could really go to town on them :)
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Higher level?
You sissy! LOL
TPK! TPK! TPK!
Every week when l go grocery shopping l have to ask for two egg boxes , the kids like those for the terrain... they used to ask whenl am moving , now they just say ... whatcha building ?
"Dungeons of course!" :)
How have you designed these master pieces? What softwares? Marvelous!
They're all drawn from scratch - using a mix of Inkscape (for the basic shapes) and photoshop (for all the details).
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Thanks!!
What figure is the group of three? Can you post a name or link?
It's just 3 plastic historical wargames figures glued to a large base (you could use anything really).
However, I will be talking more about all the miniatures I'm using in the final episode - but these particular ones are 'boxers' from Wargames Atlantic.
