Welcome to ‘Out and about Walking’, a channel where I take you with me in a virtual sense on my walking adventures. For your sole entertainment videos on this channel will be recorded at various times of the day & night as well as varying weather conditions and throughout the year. Although these videos are primarily created for anyone with mobility issues who are not able to get out and visit these locations for themselves but also these videos may be helpful to anyone looking for Relaxation, Meditation, Stress & Anxiety Reduction, help with Insomnia and ASMR content all through the power of sight & sound.
The majority of walks on this channel are filmed in and around villages & hamlets in the Cotswolds, England. However, to keep the content varied & interesting you may occasionally see walks from other areas and also an occasional deep relaxation nature video.

A Dreary, Cold & Wet Morning Walk in a Town Where Time Has Stopped
So, today we are out and about walking in the Cotswold town and civil parish of Charlbury which is located in west Oxfordshire in the county of Oxfordshire, England. The town is situated in the Evenlode valley and about 6 miles (10 km) north of Witney. In 2011 the town had a population of 2,830. Charlbury's post town is Chipping Norton.
The town's parish church is St Mary the Virgin. The church appears to date back to the eleven hundreds when it belonged to Eynsham Abbey.
This walk was filmed sometime ago, as you will be able to tell by the trees being bare. Unfortunately there is one jump cut in the film purely because I completely messed up a shot and I felt that the film would not benefit from leaving it it in.
During the walk I spotted an old proverb "One who moves to hurriedly, misses the way"...that really fits in well with this channel :). See if you can spot it too!
There is just one 'not so' hidden OAAW logo within this walk. If you spot it, please let us know but don't give away it's location or time stamp it - thank you.

I'm embarrassed, me notification thingy be glitched, so sorry, I happenstanced to see the blue dot on your channel icon this morn. Need to investigate why me "doorbell" didn't ring. Onward....gates open opening, splendid that. Charl be a grand "city", lots to see; ya, me noticed the broken 🕓. I tagged 🚶and left him to count to 10 whilst I ran to hide, not telling where we were, too shamefaced as he retagged me, no place for me to escape to quick enough. And you! I couldn't find you either, always hugging the walls and peeking round corners. Not sure I like these queensbury rules. We must revisit Charl and her puddles, only scraped the tipo the iceburg. I like her, not modern, no skyscrapers.

I don’t know of any sound that is as soothing as that of water- whatever form it may take (excepting things like the sound of one’s basement flooding, or the splash of a sink overflowing onto the floor!). I never tire of hearing rain on the roof, or outside of the window- and I especially enjoy sitting on our front porch on rainy evenings. There isn’t any one thing I can isolate to comment on (though there certainly were specific things you passed that I noticed and liked), but I must say that I just enjoyed the whole mood of this walk as a unit. It conveyed such a peaceful sense of solitude- a quietly happy kind, and not a lonely type. Thanks for this lovely walk. :)

I know just what you mean, the sound of rain on an old tin roof is probably my favourite water sound especially if there is the odd rumble of thunder in the distance. I’m not sure why but from a visual standpoint I am not really feeling this walk, it could be because to my eye there seems to be too much vertical bounce, having said that tho, I could happily go to sleep with sleep-phones on listening just to the audio, can’t really fault it… Thanks for your comment and time on this walk today. @@OutandaboutWalking I think every walk (at least on this channel) has some different positive thing to take away from it. This did not make my favorites list, but as I said, it did create a peaceful mood. In the world of music a piece that creates a certain image or impression is called a “tone poem” (as you probably already know), and I would call this walk the visual equivalent to a tone poem. :) I like thunder, too- as long as it remains a distant rumble. I must confess that having our house struck by lightning in 2022 greatly diminished my liking for storms! Thankfully, it did not start a fire, as it very well could have- but it damaged a bunch of stuff and was truly terrifying. My husband is okay, but faces yet another outpatient surgery this week. I will probably bring earbuds and be taking one of your walks as I sit in the surgical waiting room- again. OAAW has been in a lot of medical facilities around here! Thanks for asking. :)

@@OutandaboutWalking Yes, it was terribly scary…like being inside of a drum when a percussionist struck it with full force. We were at home when it occurred, and the entire house shook. Not fun at all! Thank you for your good wishes for my husband’s surgery. Have a great week! :)

You've also given me a happy memory--when I was little and it was raining, my Mom said that the "little men" were tap dancing so fast that all we could see were the sparkles on their tap shoes. Como de costumbre me cautiva el inicio, el torrente de agua y su característico rugir. Todo a su paso se abre para contemplarse y disfrutarse, hasta el sonido de las pisadas entremezcladas con el de la lluvia, suenan encantadoras. El repiquetear de la lluvia en el charco de agua y Las calles mojadas y solitarias transmiten una apreciada y tranquila paz. Las casas con sus preciosas fachadas. La iglesia con el melancólico tañer de sus campanas. El sosegado cementerio con su majestuoso árbol dando cobijo a las lápidas, son fascinantes. Pero en particular, nada más acertado que ese sabio proverbio, que invita a disfrutar de todo sin prisas, ya que es la única manera de descubrir la esencia verdadera de todo lo que nos rodea , disfrutándolo al máximo...De la prisa sólo queda el cansancio. Summer, autumn, winter, spring it doesn't matter, the walks are lovely and serene. The out and about logo was easy to spot but I forgot to look out for the other one! The sky looked heavier with clouds towards the end.

Hello. Thank you for your comment & support. Sorry to hear that the sky pans are disturbing for you. Often I use this technique when there is something I wish to hide...like parked cars or simply setting up for a reveal shot. Maybe when you see the image starting to drift upwards skip forward on the video player about 20 - 40 seconds. Hope that can help you (I reguarly suffer with Labrinthitis also by the way). Loved every minute of the video. Such calm and peace, walking around after what looks like an overnight or early rain. Wells is beautiful in any light, and though small, there’s plenty history and astonishing architecture to admire. Stunning little city! Lovely filming; even with the inevitable distractions. You were right. It was a one in a million video. One of the things I love about your videos, you go out early in the morning before most people are awake, so the only sounds are those of nature. It's so easy for me to imagine another period long ago, and these villages appear to grow up from the forest, as if they are a part of them.

I’m speechless! Truly, that was more like one in a billion, to film Bibury in its full glory. This video brought the peace and serenity I needed today. I’m so glad you got there before the crowds.
