A Night Walk in the Rain in a COTSWOLD Town || ENGLAND || 4K HDR

- So, on this rainy evening we are out and about walking in the capitol of the Cotswolds - The market town of Cirencester. Cirencester is located 80 miles (130 km) west of London. The town is situated on the River Churn (a tributary of the River Thames) and also lies on the lower slopes slopes of the Cotswold Hills. In 2021 the population in Cirencester stood at 20,229.
Cirencester has an incredible amount of history to it, and is well worth a deep delve and look into. The town was thought to be first referenced by Ptolemy in AD 150. The town is well known for it's Royal Agriculture College which was founded in 1840.
The parish church is St John the Baptist. Construction of the church was started in the 12th century. It is a Grade I listed building. The church is not seen during this particular walk but there are forthcoming video walks in which it is seen.
At 08:48 we see the Corinium Hotel, which is a lovely hotel should you need somewhere to stop over night in Cirencester.
There is just one hidden logo within this video...see if you can spot it.

The sound of the rain is so healing. I've been accepted to participate in a clinical study to help stroke survivors walk using an experimental device utilizing music. I'm cautious, yet excited. I've been let down before; but I'm feeling hopeful for the first time in 2 years. I will keep you posted. Thanks again for all you do 🌿💜

Hey OAAW~ This was a lovely walk. I find it interesting how when walking in the rain, it feels like you’re in a bubble, kind of separate, in your own little world within the bigger world. Your sights and sounds are completely different from anyone else’s. I don’t feel that way otherwise. What a nice, quiet, calm end to the week. Thank you for sharing.

For a while now, I knew there was something about these rain walks (especially at night!) but I couldn’t put my finger on it…you have summed it up perfectly as that is just how it feels but I jdid not know how to describe it (I’m pretty rubbish with words tbh). That is interesting when you say “different from anyone else’s”…sometimes I do wonder if I am a bit too random with the walks but then on reflection I am not too concerned about chasing numbers but more about providing varied content whilst enjoying actually making it. I didn’t realize walking in the rain could be so calming and peaceful until a walk with you. In my personal life, it’s something I don’t like doing. I usually find it unpleasant. Watching this I watched some parts more than once because I liked the sights and the sounds you put together. I found it a comforting metaphor of my stressful life these days. I am in my comfortable home that I love so much, in my bubble in a world gone mad. Just like this walk in the rain.
Please do not change how you do anything! Your walks are not pedestrian (😉), like everyone else’s! That is precisely why I am a subscriber from the first video I watched and have watched almost every walk since then. I tried a number of others (all over the world - what a gift CZcams can be) who do walks like you and never watched again. My dad was a commercial photographer. He said everything about photography is learnable - except composition: You either have it or you don’t. You have it. And I thoroughly enjoy your vision of the world.

@@cherylb6755 that is indeed the pure beauty of Y.T, it affords us convenience & comfort :). Your dad sounds like he was a wise, warm and naturally talented chap. I’m sure that you learnt much from him over the years that has proved valuable in life and I dare say when you least expect it to. I do try and keep an eye out for a composition whilst on the move. I seem to recall that your dad enjoyed looking up to the tree tops too? There is so much I enjoy whilst out walking, including the sights & sounds of nature, the beautiful Cotswold stone walls - no two are ever the same, just like no two days are ever the same…I never take any of it for granted.

Cirencester is our absolute favorite place to visit in the UK. Thanks for taking us down streets we've never been to. The added atmosphere of pattering raindrops was very soothing. The Corinium Hotel is definitely on our must visit list the next time we visit this beautiful historic town. Thank you❣️

I'm still enchanted and admiring the architecture, tho it all looks the same, one could never lose their way by following the subtle tweaks in door color or decor facings. That is a massive coincidence! Or is it!? How do I managed that? Ah, that be magic, that be :) yes, lovely architecture but did you notice I missed out a vehicle plate (purely accidental, with so many plates to blur I accidentally missed one, wasn’t until I watched the export back that I realised and by that time it was too late!). Shame on me for ignoring the Highway Code…I will turn myself in later ;). Folks might have thought it was someone on a 🚴.
