Warm me up with a hot drink after getting soaked during this walk! - ko-fi.com/watchedwalker
Thank you, I enjoyed that and followed you with Google Maps, and have a hot drink on me, well deserved after that drenching on our behalf..
Thanks very much Nigel 👍
Hi Hon. You're very brave, i've been out in those streets after dark in teeming rain with just a short skirt and hi heels, it's no fun even with an umbrella!. Liked it though. Tell you what, when you're warmed up and brave enough to go back, why not do the same idea but round Whitechapel and the East End. Now i know that area too and after dark even in dry weather, i always got an uneasy feeling. Good luck!
What's your mum gonna say when she sees this?
A warm hearth too. Nice walk.
I cannot express how these videos have changed my life. I'm housebound at the moment recovering from cancer and I cant walk out I love the rain...it frees me and I feel with these videos I am getting to experience London without sitting on a train or a tube to get there. I love all the areas you cover but especially East London. God bless you for your efforts in this you tube channel
Thank you for your kind words Annemarie, it's lovely to hear how my videos have helped you. I wish you all the best with your recovery, take care.
magical and hypnotic
These videos are, indeed, calming and transportitive. I found the Regent's Canal walk particularly fascinating.
Good for you … find pleasure where you can … KTF
Hope you’re feeling better
I’m glad I’m not the only person out there that finds listening to rain satisfying and relaxing.
I always prefer walk videos with rain
me too tone uk
No you’re not the only one, a lot of people say they love to hear the sound of rain, it is soothing and relaxing 😉😁
Yes you are right agree with you 😘
Why ??
You sacrificed your comfort and your sleep so that we could enjoy this vision in the coziness of our homes. This time and place that you have recorded would otherwise remain unknown to us. Thank you so much for showing us this world.
My pleasure Keiran 😊
Hard to believe that London roads are still so busy at 4am (with buses running!!!) ... this was so cozy to watch from my warm bed. Thank you!
I wish my tv was near my bed...
@@maureenleigh4724 what if they watched it on their phone
@@elja. I'm watching it on my laptop, and iPad is also a possibility
That's true about almost every major metropolitan city in the world. NYC, London, Tokyo, Mumbai, Hong Kong.. They never sleep.
Yeah, try that in a small town.
I miss the pouring rain in London. I don’t care what anyone says - it’s cosy. It’s great walking in. And it’s great sitting in the window of a cafe with coffee and cake watching.
"There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing".
Good luck finding one open at 4am in London.
Replace coffee and cake (not really a true London thing) with a pint in a pub and I'll agree.
@douglasgreen437 Ice is bad, because it's slippery.
So beautiful I had to wipe a tear…In 1970-71 I was a nurse at St.Thomas Hospital. London was very different then, but that night walk in the rain brought it all back..
In what way was it different?
@@yuma7398 You know very well how much London was different back in the 1970s.
@@ds1868 no I really don't
@@ds1868 You mean only white people were in London right! If that’s you’re meaning than you really need to change your thinking!!!!
@@ax3226No. you need to change your thinking. It’s our country. Our government has chosen a policy of demographic transformation against our will since 1948. Waiting for you to tell me that 1. It’s not happening 2. It is happening and it’s a good thing and then 3. It’s a punishment.
I really enjoy these walks in the rain particularly at night. It’s quiet and serene, a good time to gather one’s thoughts put away some stress and warm up afterwards with a cuddle and some coffee. Thanks for getting soggy for me to enjoy a long walk in the rain.
My pleasure Lori, I'm pleased you enjoyed my efforts 😊
@@watchedwalker yes I am. Thanks again
You stol my words😄🙏 thanks for good explanation love and respect from Hong Kong
I don't know if 'quiet' accurately describes it but there's definitely a tranquil ambience that envelops the night.
@@andso7068 yes I agree tranquil but it brings me a quietness if that makes sense.
It's strange how beautiful a rainy night in London is.
I wish one Day I visit London 😸
@@masimuseebatvlogs I hope you get the chance :)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE RAIN!
visited England and London a couple months ago, really wish i could live there gotta be my favorite city i’ve ever been in
Its a beautiful city with all lights, rain and not a soul in sight. But be careful in some of those alleyways friend.
You're lucky being in such a nice city i am jealous
We do not experience heavy rains since ages in south Europe it is so mentally calming watching and hearing this beautiful sound and London is one my favorite places on earth …so cultural and tolerant people love Londoners
Blessings from Tuscany Italy 🇮🇹 thanks for sharing ♓️♓️🙏🏻⚜️🙋♀️
Thanks Heeley, love to Italy 😊

This is London at its full potential.
LOVELY LONG NIGHT WALKS IN THE RAIN IN LONDON. SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL
at 4am you made it extraordinary!!
Very Bladerunnery with the lights and the rain!
Wow! Could you not sleep?! Watched this with a hot water bottle and fleecy throw and still felt cold and wet! Beyond the call of duty! Thank you for another atmospheric walk.
Glad you enjoyed it Margaret, I could have done with a hot water bottle when I filmed this! 😀
Just amazing as I walked some of this with my late Mum in 1997 on our trip to London and the USA...Laurie NZ
Great opening scene..started off like a movie 😍
Thanks MW, I see you've been out in the rain too recently - I hope you did a better job of staying dry than I did!
Ah, the old night buses..... reminds me of when I'd miss one and, having exited a club after three, I'd walk home from Soho to Shepherds Bush, back in the late 80s.
Nothing better than a walk around london on a rainy night!
Sooo beautiful I love london and really I want to go london 🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸
London is a very safe city.
I'm a big fan of the UK history and culture. Hi from Brazil.
Greetings Yan, love to Brazil 😊
I enjoyed this. I have watched yours and T k viper. You guys are so fortunate. No way would I walk around at night anywhere in the U.S. Too dangerous. Great video. Never been to London .I guess this will have to do. ☺
DorothyDandridge, I kept thinking the same thing, being American. No way. I kept expecting some hoodlums to appear. I love the rain, though, and the ambiance of the night streets. 🌺
West end at night and in the rain...charming!
Beautiful! The lights glistening on the paving stones lends a certain old-school glamour which is so evocative. It would have been lovely to have followed a route through Chinatown too just after leaving Leicester Square - the lights there, plus the lanterns and the torrential downpour would have looked stunning I'm sure. One for the future perhaps!
Thank you James, I usually go through Chinatown but gave it a miss this time - I really wish the lanterns were illuminated, they would look spectacular reflected on the wet ground!
Walking in the rain 🌧 there's no other feeling like it
I love so much those double decker bus , it’s reminds me an old English series that i adored when i was little girl 🚎🤗
“On the busses” by any chance? 🙂
Love seeing the brolly in the brolly in the neon light.
Just love your London videos… makes me want to jump and a plane and head over (from Melbourne, Australia) and never leave again..
Thanks so much Rick 👍
Stay on your prison island and don't bring more authoritarianism here please.
Absolutely superb. It’s so surreal to see this part of town so empty. The reflections on the pavements and the neon lighting combined with the rain really make this a lovely video.
Thank you Thomas, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@@watchedwalker I work in the Tottenham Court/ Covent Garden area - I haven’t been into town since the pandemic began, so it’s really fun to see it all again.
relaxing walk, I love the rain. love from New York 💚🗽🇺🇸
As we say in Chile, it is raining in the old way, from top to bottom and from bottom to top,😅… nice walk, the rain is an incredible antistress. Greetings from Chile my friend🇨🇱✌🏼
Thanks Angela, it certainly was raining in all directions, I don't think any part of me was dry after that. Love to Chile 😊
@@watchedwalker There is no doubt about that, now to take good care of yourself, still the "bug" stalks us do not lower your guard😷🙂.
I already watched a video similiar like this, walking in New York City while rain, and i just found this video, London is awesome 😍
I loved this video. I really miss the rain. We've only had 0.2 inches of rain here in Los Angeles in the last 10 months.
Thank you David, I wish I could send some of this rain your way, we've had quite a bit this year!
Beautiful walk ... because it's not me whos getting wet. Thanks for the rainny walk 🇺🇾
I miss London's streets, amazing walking through the rain! Thanks for the ride!
It has a unique and strong atmosphere.
Very beautiful.
So beautiful it doesn't even feel real, but i can feel the wind and raindrops from here.
London looks sooo pretty in night, with the rains, being near the window holding a warm cup of coffee, reading a good book and wrapped around in a blanket. London is wow
Wow!!! This is so beautiful and very relaxing.👏😴
The system is working 24/7
You are brave. I've often wondered what it would be like to walk the streets in the middle of the night but would never have the nerve do it. So thank you for the virtual experience.
Thanks Hilary, it was a bit eerie at that hour but I was happy to capture the heavy rain.
wow, 4am in the RAIN! that is something ! 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
I hope you have the right gear… or kit for this weather. You Brits must be the experts on rain. Fun and mysterious walk. Thanks WW
I keep coming back to this video, l love it !
me too
I’m singing in the rain... just suffering through the pain... what a glorious feeling I’m recording again... I’m soaked to the bone, far away from my home... and I’m singing... this is crazy! In the rain.🌂😄👍
I was wondering if he was singing and dancing in the rain in Leicester Square too.
Haha yes it's joyful 😅
These walks in the rain at night are so calming
Счастливые жители самого лучшего города на земле!
I loved it how it rains in uk.
I enjoyed this walk a lot! With the sound of the heavy rain. Well. done, WW.
Many thanks Anne-Lise!
This video deserves applause. Blessing your youtube channel feed once again.
Thank you so much RHT 😊
Thank you love your videos especially the rainy night ones is beautiful I was there on March this year love London ❤
I've walked all of those streets hundreds of times but it was brilliant to see it at 4am and because I haven't been into town more than twice in 18 months! Thank you.
its been tough though we must soldier in .. take care from Australia
Hi, do you remember a club called in Jacquelins in Wardour Street around 1989/90 - there was steep stairs down
to this fantastic club, but noone remembers it and any internet searches about it have drawn a blank - just when
I saw your post sayin' you'd walked the area often..
I wish it rained more often where I live, especially like this.
You’re very brave to be out in the dark, lonely and super heavy rain! There’s not many people around those quiet streets. I’m enjoying watching your video, but I can’t help thinking you must be truly soaked! Thank you for your dedication to bringing those walks into our cosy homes. You wouldn’t need to be the scared type either! When you get home, I hope you have a nice warm cup of tea to heat you up!☕️☕️☕️and some dry clothes.
Many thanks Margo! Yes, it was a bit eerie at that hour though because of the heavy rain it felt less scary. I was absolutely soaked making this video, though I did warm up quickly once I got home again 😀
@@watchedwalker I’m glad you made it home safely. Your videos are much appreciated.
I have never seen london so beautiful, so calm like this
Wonderful - I feel the need to sing the Pogues “ on a rainy night in soho”.
Thank you
This is one of the things I want to experience in London :D
I watched this at double speed from the saddle of my exercise bike. Nothing quite like a late-night cycle through London in the pouring rain - without getting wet. Many thanks for posting, will be back!
It looks so neat and tidy.
It's so nice to walk around London in the early morning in the rain. I hope you're not wet. Take care of yourself.
thank you so much for sacrificing a warm and dry evening in order to share this with us. This reminds me so much when I was younger and able, I would walk for miles! I do envy you being able to do that now, and in such a beautiful city!
These nighttime rainy walks are incredibly relaxing.
One of my favorite walks
Passeggiata alquanto suggestiva!
It WAS worth your trouble. Thank you for sharing your solitary experience in the rain during lockdown.
Thanks so much Lawrence! 😊
Great video. I can virtually walk through London at 4am watching this video without getting wet.☔️ 👍
I play vids like this one ALL THE TIME, with my own sounds. It's like walking on another world. One I regretfully left behind without meaning to do so.
I did visit London once for two days and man i miss it so much. I like the buildings, the lights, and also the people i met were very humble and kind. I also really liked the ambience in China Town.
That really is some rain...Love it!
My feet feel wet just watching this. Great video! ☔ I'm from Southend, and have spent so much of my life in London and know those streets so well. 💙 Can't believe how much of the old city is disappearing behind those massive hoardings. I can't imagine how you keep that dry in such torrential rain, but I've loved this video. ☔🌨
Thank you Sue, and I didn't keep dry but did manage to keep the camera mostly dry - which was the important thing! 😀
Wow the best time to walk is in the rain .. no one else will want to be in it and explore London!
Hello Tim, yes it's a great time to film, though these conditions were a little extreme! 🤣
Thursday, June 23, 2022. It's a sweltering afternoon here in Southern California. This video was soothing and made it easier to do household work. Did a lot of that in the kitchen such as chopping up veggies, fruits and more.
Thanks WW. You are crazy going out in that , but my word it’s strangely satisfying.
You're welcome BY 'EC, the conditions were rather extreme, but I'm happy to have filmed it to share with you all.
@@watchedwalker Thank you WW for this. Such a wonderful piece of 'street journalism'.
one of the best walks in my opinion.
Recently by watching your beautiful videos, I felt a pleasure has returned, a simple quite walking through the streets is magic. London is much more seduisante through your eyes, especially after almost 27 years of my absence, she seems getting younger and more dynamic, or may be it's just of you. Bravo and many thanks!
thank you so much for doing the kind of video it makes me feel so secure.
I have to comment again! Did I say I LOVE this video so much! 😍💙
Really pleased you enjoyed this one so much Vanessa, it wasn't the easiest to film! 😀
@@watchedwalker I can see that. Thank you for filming it.
How amazingly good of you to get out in the rain this early morning. Hope you had your wellies.
It`s beautiful I watching from Brazil 17/10/21
Lights of the shops on the pavement look amazing.
This is literally everything to me! 🙌🏼🙌🏼The storm, the wind, the sound, the lights reflecting on the streets and especially all the blue light hues! Love how this video has the cool tones! Thank you for doing these walks for us! More blue light hues and cool tone vids please. Hope you’ve managed to keep your feet dry in this walk.

It’s cold and raining here. I’m snuggled in my warm blanket but can’t hear the rain. Watching you videos on my iPad , right before sleep, gives me that comfort, cozy feeling and helps me fall asleep 😴 faster. Thank you for going out there and filming this💕.
Beautiful. One of my favourite songs A Rainy Night In Soho just feels so real watching this. Thank you.

When you finally reached the Covent Garden area, I immediately thought: "Oh, Eliza Doolittle can show up at any time and start singing All I want is a room somewhere, far away from the cold night air!" Greetings from sunny (and sometimes rainy too, and, believe me, even snowy) Brazil!

Thank you so much Selina 😀 yes I managed to warm up after this, a warm bath really helped! All the best 😊
Growing up in the south west of the UK this kind of weather evokes many memories for me. It makes me remember things like waking up early for school on miserable monday mornings in the dead of winter. Stepping out of my front door and that splash of sideways rain hits you and you feel the cold snap at your extremities. Walking to school it would still almost feel dark because the low rainclouds and the mist would often block out the rising sun so it looked like somebody shining a torch way off in the distance. I used to feel like I was living inside a cloud sometimes. Even back then as a kid I always felt there was a vague melancholy beauty to it. It was like ghosts made of weather swirlling around me.
A beautiful walk that I couldn't go on alone at that time of night lol, so have to do from the safety of my bed. Thanks for a great video.
