Thank you so much for this! I was raised by my Grandparents, & when my Grandpa retired from Lockhead Aircraft in 1969 when I was 10 & we moved to the Oregon Coast. The Crab Broiler was our go to place. This was my favorite dish because I am a Crab fanatic! I'm 64 years old now & still can't get enough of our wonderful Dungeness Crab! Thanks again!
Our other favorites were the Pixie Kitchen & the Elderberry Inn. So many wonderful places to eat on the Oregon Coast! My husband & I live on the Southern end of the Coast now & our Faves down here are the Crab Shack in Bandon, & the Crazy Norwegian in Port Orford ;)
Hi Susan! This makes me so happy that you knew and loved The Crab Broiler! How lucky were you! Thank you for sharing some of your family history. I hope you make your favorite dish from there and recapture your 10-year-old memories with your grandparents! So special!
Hooo, Boy! I need to get volumes two and three of the Ford Treasury! I have the first (got it right after I learned about it from you)... I would never have found out about these wonderful books of recipes without you, Jill. Thanks again for all that you do for us!

BBQ crab sounds good. The ketchup based sauce is close to my family's sloppy Joe recipe.

Actually, I love those plates too!
Where did you find them?
Hi Bill! How cool! They were actually the plates that were in our Palm Springs house. But they are Mikasa. They were a popular pattern, not sure if they still make them.
@@yesterkitchen They sure are good looking!
