    - About Dr. Mary Claire Haver and The Galveston Diet -
    Dr. Mary Claire Haver is a passionate women’s health advocate who believes women in midlife deserve to live their best life. She cuts through fat-shaming and fads, so women are empowered with the science behind anti-inflammation nutrition.
    Dr. Mary Claire Haver is a wife, mom, physician, and entrepreneur who has devoted her adult life to women’s health. As a Board-Certified OBGYN in the Houston area, Dr. Haver has delivered thousands of babies, completed thousands of well-woman exams, counseled patients, taught residents, and did everything an academic professor and OBGYN could do.
    As her patient population aged, Dr. Haver was overwhelmed with the number of complaints and concerns her patients had with weight gain while going through menopause. For years, she told her patients to eat less and exercise more. It wasn't until she experienced the changes of menopause and mid-life weight gain that she realized this advice doesn't work and ultimately led to her creating and developing a new program, The Galveston Diet.
    The Galveston Diet is the first and only nutrition program created by a Female OBGYN, designed for women in menopause. The Galveston Diet helps women reach their health and wellness goals through an anti-inflammatory approach to nutrition. Dr. Haver believes in food's power to combat inflammation and highly recommends the unlimited benefits of intermittent fasting. As part of her ongoing research, she became certified in Culinary Medicine in 2019, specializing in medical nutrition.

Why do people think they have the right to tell others how to speak, what words they should use - according to who? How RUDE! People use the vocabulary they were raised with or taught by their parents caregivers teachers.., it’s not meant to offend any one personally. I on the other hand will just tell you to grow up and get the F over it.

    I felt horrible on traditional Rx estrogen. I was not myself to say the least. Switched to bio identical and I was back in business! Yes, it's very expensive but I still need to work for 10 more years in a competitive field with people who are 15 to 20 years younger than me - so, it's worth it. Btw, these bio identical hormones help plump up my face and give my skin a rosy glow. No one ever guesses I'm 58!

      @@majeedmohamed9523 If you seek out a medical doctor (GP, Ob-gyn, Endocrinologist) who went on to get certified in bio-identical hormones (pellet therapy), you will get those pellets in the office. If you need anything else (for example, if they discover that your thyroid is low) they will write you a script or call in to your pharmacy. Try bodylogicMD to see if they have a certified doctor in your area.

      @forapps9364 Před 4 měsíci

      @lolasen1206 I'm referring to subcutaneous pellet therapy. One highly recommended and throughly vetted company is bodylogicmd. They are in most major cities. The doctors they employ are in good standing with current practices and are required to get certification for pellet therapy. You don't have to go with them but you could use their standards as a guide when researching other providers. Pellet therapy is VERY expensive. I wanted to stay in a highly competitive field, so to me it has been worth it. I earn enough to be able to budget for it. The best benefit is that my doctor (who I found through the above company) tests me for other things on a semi regular basis. He put me on better medicine for hypothyroidism and daily B12 shots after discovering that I had pernicious anemia. I get comprehensive care, not just hrt. There are other doctors and clinics that do this too - Nufemme rejuvenation clinics is one. Wishing you the best.

    What level of estrogeon should try to remain at as you age. for example, if you are 35 and start having weird things start to come out of the blue , what should you then increase your estrogen to? to the levels it was when you were 29 or 30? and then how long do you then maintain that estrogeon level. ?
    when you get bldwk back, it will always give you what "normal" estro is for your AGE. it doesn't matter that you are starting to have problems and trying to root out what is happening-dr will always say your labs are "normsl" for your AGE. rather than saying hey, lets boost your estrogeon 5 mg. with a patch. What is the dosage bump to see relief per your age-estro loss? (e.g., at 35 bump 5mg, at 40 bump 10mg. )

My body rejected my last transplant donor which caused graft Vs host disease (rejection disease). It’s where your body starts attacking its self because it senses the foreign cells. Mine was very bad. Attacking my whole GI, esophagus, eyes, teeth, all my skin causing like 3rd degree burns. it also caused all my connective tissue, joints and muscle to all turn hard like stone leaving me unable to move at all. I laid in bed like a piece of stone for 5yrs. Dr’s said I would never get out of bed again but one miraculous day I notice I could wiggle a toe and now slowly little by little over 8yrs I’m now able to get out of bed and walk with a walker. Due to chemo & transplants it does a number on the female organs. Also my graft vs host disease because it attacking my skin it attacked that skin there as well leaving it very very atrophied, dry and painful. I went through menopause very early at age 38 due to everything. I wasn’t on any hormones for awhile but after so many years I started really having issues so they put me on hormone replacement and the topical estradiol cream. It’s all help me so much. Most doctors are prescribing it unless your a specific breast cancer patient and they think it’s not good. It’s helped all my female areas so much and then also taking oral has made me feel normal again and all my skin is not so dry and lacking life. I have been using Ovestin since 45 and still on it close to 54 but not menopause yet.It helps with vaginitis redness etc also helps with uti.Anything that helps inflammation down there is a blessing.😊I'm with a Mirena I have been celibate over 5 years so don't miss it anyway.

      If I knew what I know now I would have most definitely started vaginal estrogen cream in perimenopause or at the least the very start of noticed issues with painful sex.

    I’m 53 years old and have a thrombosis (don’t have a clotting issue) that is not believed to cause any threat to my life if I take estrogen. I take progesterone alone and I would like to add estrogen. What type would you recommend?

    Can you do a segment on estriol or some kind of plant-based estrogen as face cream to help with anti-aging , collagen production? Maybe you could offer a custom cream product as part of your product line

    I was prescribed estrogen patches. 05m twice a week, Ibeen on it one week. Last night I was fed feeling a throbbing pain on my left side bikini area, el that go away, is that going to effect my ovaries? Also, is Ditto synthetic or bioidentical? I'm also taking 100m of progesterone, I'm going to take that after dinner since it says it causes drowsiness. I don't sleep for hours.

    Thankyou so interesting! I’ve heard u mention estrogen cream which is used locally . I’d love to know if it will address all over dryness .. in the vagina as well as quite dry skin on legs & arms & face that previous to menopause was never a problem. Number two , if estrogen was a problem when used in 30s for PMS management & contraception ( my friend ) and exacerbated symptoms ( skin rash , migraines , heavy periods ) couid it still be useful in menopausal significant lower body and abdominal fat gain that’s not shifting on diet , hot flushes, histamine sensitivity and fatigue ? . Thankyou !

      I tried going to my doctor but she would only prescribe oral Premarin which is NOT the same as estradiol. So, had to go online to get my bio-identical patches (Estradiol) and oral progesterone. They send the prescription to my regular pharmacy or I can also choose to have it filled by their pharmacy and they will mail to me. The website I use is Evernow but I am sure there are other good online services.

    • @ruthmunnings8267
      @ruthmunnings8267 Před 5 měsíci

      My body temperature usually helps the patch sort of melt on and therefore stay on. Moreover when I shower I tend to turn my back to the shower and turn to the front as needed, so avoiding an extended period of water running directly on the patch. I did in the past use a hair dryer for a few seconds when I would apply the patch to assist with adhesion. Hope this helps!
