    Just found your website, videos and more...including My Alloy. I live in very rural Maine, hundreds of miles from a town that even has a decent GYN, and for the past 3.5 years I've been living my dream traveling the continent in an RV and exploring. Medical care is virtually impossible through health insurance when you're a full-time traveler, so I wish I had found My Alloy a year ago when my constellation of symptoms hit me like a ton of bricks. Actually, part of the reason I came off the road and back into a stable living situation is because the symptoms are too much to handle and it's time to get this under control. Thank you for all your information, research, videos, and books that I'm devouring right now.

    Wow I’m just now realizing that I felt the best while on estrogen/progesterone BC and went off of it for awhile but couldn’t get prescribed it again because by then I had presented with HBP. Absolutely insane that this patriarchal society wants women to suffer.
    I just found you in the last 1.5 weeks and bought your book! And waiting to get the new one as well!

    I had an appointment last month with an Ob/GYN who said at age 66 I'm not a candidate for HRT. But, she did give me estrogen vaginal cream, estradiol cream. The side effect sheet is a horrific list of dangerous and or deadly stuff. Dr Haver you said vaginal estrogen cream is safe, so which is it??? I want relief from vaginal pain and intercourse with my husband so please help. Thank you Dr Haver

    I'm still on birth control but my doctor switched me to the mini pill (progesterone only pill) about 2 years ago. I really started feeling the effects of my perimenopause about a year ago. I didn't even realize I was having mood swings. I also started having trouble in my shoulders (pain) and i didn't know why. I had occasional night sweats but never had hot flashes. BUT the one symptom that drove me to open the discussion was the vaginal dryness and pain. I had the blood work, everything was normal. I had the ultrasounds and i do have a cyst on both ovaries and I also had an endometrial biopsy which found a submucosal fibroid but I'm "cancer free". I'm so glad I found you because I advocated for myself (after all the tests) and started vaginal estrogen 3 weeks ago. I can already feel the difference. I have the tablet but will probably ask to switch to the cream because I can use it on the vulva. I also started CBD recently and have noticed a change in my "reactive" response to stress. I think I'm going to request to be changed back to my low estrogen/progesterone combo pill the next time I go back for my annual exam. My OB has been trying to convince me to get the copper IUD for fear of blood clots because of my age (now 47. Switched birth control at 45)
    I found that putting cinnamon in with the grounds when brewing works great. I can't add cinnamon to a cup of coffee. I don't like the floaties.
    You need to prioritize protein. It's a must.
    I'm insulin resistant and went low carb 6 years ago.
    My mother was the elder of 7, my father is the elder of 7. My mother died is breast cancer. No history of cancer in my father's side. On my mother's side you're most likely of dying of stroke also having heart disease but it won't kill you. I'm on Houston and sad to hear you have 100 person waiting list.

    I am 53 years old and just got off of my birth control pills after many years and my OBGYN told me if I don’t develop any bad Post menopause symptoms that I should not take HRT at all. I wanted to know if I am still a candidate for HRT if I wanted to use it for future protection against heart disease, cancer and osteoporosis?

    How do you know if you are getting enough estrogen? I am on estradiol 0.05% and have been on it for about a year. Most of my symptoms are diminished, but still have anxiety at night and trouble getting g back to sleep. Also, I need a nap most every day. I'm 62.

    I was looking so forward to alloy, I joined to try to start some HRT for the first time at age 60- immediately shot down because my last mammogram was in 2018...my issue is with larger implants (850cc) that are over 22 plus years old, small rural town, small hospital, they don't either have proper equipment or the know how for people like me. It was so ungodly painful and i was so afraid they would burst i decided i can't risk it because they are "old" implants. Now, i can't get HRT help....lovely - Not fair and not happy :(

    • @lisabrooks844
      @lisabrooks844 Před měsícem

      How about a breast ultrasound instead of the traditional mammogram? Sounds like you are a candidate for ultrasound. I actually have a family member that had her right implant rupture from mammogram, so yes your concerns are legitimate. I hope you can find a professional that can help facilitate the care that you need.🙏

    And when you state it is the “right leaning” people that are the problem you are very small minded. I am right minded and believe in hormones and contraception for women. Your rhetoric is decisive to the women’s movement when you think you are being pro woman. Please do better. We are counting on women supporting women no matter what their political beliefs are. Is this a political channel or a health channel??? Hmmm…

    • @silkyslim2111
      @silkyslim2111 Před rokem +1

      Your politics is actively working to remove birth control hormone options for our health. You can’t support a threat to our health and then have a hissy fit when someone casually notices it. The hypocrisy makes you feel good, but it’s risking women’s health.

    I’m a 53 year old, professional, well educated woman. Im a very strong woman, make no mistake, but not at the expense of men. I’m very interested in this topic and it’s very relavent. But, you lost me at “ this patriarchal society…just wait…hormones are on the table to be taken away, so get ready”. Really? If you want to help women please take a forward looking view on what we can do to increase attention and focus vs being a victim of men. I lost respect for you at that moment. I believe women are strong and can pace their own path with strong women who purely fight for women instead of blame others. Come on. Please do better. You have the platform to make a difference so counting on women like you!

      If women are so much in charge of their bodies in USA - how do you explain the restrictive laws on abortion recently approved

  • @kimnarveson5190
    @kimnarveson5190 Před měsícem

    My heart fell. I have been telling everyone that will listen about you and the New Menopause book. Hearing you say what you did about abortion was startling and hurtful. You basically said that you care for all women unless they are still in the womb and then they don't matter. I will still encourage people to read your book, because the information is so important to get out there. I am no longer "fan girling". 🥲
