Where can I get fiber powder?
@deirdrecartmill2947 pretty name.
I was hoping the flaxseed and chip seeds would be good.
Is the frozen triple berry mix good to use?
Steak and eggs for breakfast also contains everything the human body needs during menopause!
hi. i agree. whole foods and costs cheaper to buy. fill you up longer. i could not live on just smoorhie...i need natural and healthy...
I have 2 eggs every morning
No fiber
@@wendyblaauw2578 i have a green apple as well for breakfast...
Finally! A shake that will give you the boost you need with no banana ❤
To much sugar in bananas if you want to keep your insulin levels down but if your going to do a hard work then maybe.
Blueberries ❤
? banana is good, burns fat and carbohydrates...cheers...
Mine is home made kefir, lions maine mushroom, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and aswaganda for half my cycle.
Which half?
I've done almost the same shake ingredients for over 10yrs, l also add chopped celery, half of a cucumber peeled, variety of fruits, and a whole lemon juice, l use a half bottle of vitamin water and l use Collagen powder, my doctor was concerned for my kidneys when l was on a protein powder that was thirty protein, thru a urine test it was too much protein for me and harmful for my kidneys, then l switched to Collagen powder, way more expensive but worth it, l have no problems with kidney overload of protein, l also add a handful of organic spring mix greens in my shake, delicious and l feel great, l sip this most of the day , also eat 1 boiled egg and half of an avacado
I make a similar one. I add avocado, almond butter, caocao nibs, fresh ginger and fresh mint. Yum!
Valerie, can you please share the amounts of your ingredients?
What liquid do you use?
Would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! 👍🏻😎
Where/what is fiber used?
@@janicegraves2522
Chia seeds, flax seeds and sometimes hemp seeds and sometimes a little psyllium. There is also fibre in the avocado and almond butter and a little in the raw ginger
@@maggieguzowski768
About a tablespoon or half of chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp and almond butter. About 1/4 of avocado to half an avocado. 1/2-1/4 cup of blueberries as well as the other things mentioned in the video. … I throw in ice and blend with water
@@janicegraves2522
And blueberries …. Or berry of your choice
That would shred me…and I don’t mean muscles. I need the sensitive tummy, low-FODMAP perimenopausal shake.
I love this recipe, but I prefer to quickly drink the fiber powder separately so it doesn’t make the shake too thick. ❤
B12 black cohash yam extract and no caffiene, alchohol, processed sugars took me from a hot flash every hour to 2 to 3 a day !
I make that and stir it up and eat it like a cereal for breakfast 3-4 times per week.
I never get sick of it. I use walnuts and a bit of
1/2 and 1/2.
All good ingredients. I felt
Better two weeks after starting Galveston diet with some
Variation. Wonderful way of eating
To feel your best I got the proof.
Giving me inspiration for a yummy snack. I’m going to use, blueberry, kefir, frozen, blueberries, hemp seeds, beef, gelatin, and crushed ice. #LetYourFoodBeYourMedicine.❤
Thank you for the recipe 🎉 You have helped educate me, and I'm feeling alive again!! Time to start my smoothies again.
DO YOU KNOW THE PROTEIN POWDER SHE'S USING
I highly recommend you put in the liquid first
I love all those ingredients!!!! I learned about most of it from you!! You rock!!!
✨✅Wow…this is my exact shake I make, daily….I’m 57, but had no idea I make a Menopause Shake‼️⁉️Good For Me‼️❤️✨Oh, and we’re going to keep this between us, since I make it for me and my Hubbs👀❤️✨
I love you, Dr Mary Claire! Thank you! I’m on your diet (The Galveston Diet) and just made a similar shake when I realized that I didn’t have one of the meals in your plan in my house. 😘
Wow Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I use 2 x. Scoops of cocoa Gelatin scoops with beef broth & MCT oil, frozen banana, cinnamon, almond milk & pinch of cinnamon, YUM
I add spinach and use a berry blend..it’s good
This is one of my favorite breakfasts! I throw greens in, too, maybe avocado if I’m super hungry. ❤
Looks wonderful, thanks for sharing! On a silly note, I am so glad to see the liquid pour out the bottom of your blender too! 😅🙋🏻♀️😉
Thank you for this recipe Mary! Looks delicious!
I'm going to use all of those ingredients bc i love smoothies but there's no way this tastes good. Thanks for the info tho
This looks amazing! Can't wait to try it. I didn't think about adding creatine.
How much will all that cost daily? I think I can only afford to eat once a day in this economy.
Hi. Whole foods cost less and fill you up for hours...and its good fun shopping for natural foods. Healthier and fresher, Yummier too. Cheets
Wow that looks awesome 👌 😊. Does it help with your mood and energy? 🎉
Love love you’re videos they are so beneficial for our health. Thank you thank you you so much. Keep on bringing those videos and we appreciate all the recipes too.❤❤
What about lactose intolerant women . Also, women who get constipated when taking calcium supplements. Help
Can you pls include brand & pics of those powders you use. Thank you!
Yes doctor please let us know what you use …
I am going to repeat your request… there is so much junk out there. I wanna make sure I get the right stuff. Hopefully she’ll respond.
She's not going to respond bc the brands dont matter and arent paying for endorsement...
Not sure about her protein powder but the creatine she’s using is by Thorne (Amazon) and the fiber she’s using is her brand that you can find on her website…but any soluble fiber will do.
Thanks so much doctor!! I love this video 😋
Looks very good!
Why creatine?
Creatine helps with muscle mass.
What brand of protein powder do you use?
Husband and I use a white egg protein. Has 25 gr. Very high. Hard to find any that's not chocolate flavor. Use pretty much same ingredients Berries whatever in sale.
Thank you for sharing.
Dr. Haver, I thank God because of you. Thsnks for caring about us woman and shere your expertise with us. It's been very useful and essencial for me all the knowledge you display every day in your videos
YES!!! Praise GOD! She is doing God's work whether she knows it or not. She is blessing us.
Holly tummy cramp
i have an issue with chia seeds going into my smoothies They make my shakes thicker and thicker by the minute and it tends to gag me.
@TitanTexan - chia seed soak up to 15x their weight in liquid. You can either add more liquid, or start out with less chia and add a little more as you go on your journey.
I currently enjoy 2 cups of bone broth to which I add 2 TBSP of chia seeds and 1 clove of minced garlic.
Let me know if you want my breakdown on what I do.
You can also add then on top of salads, make chia pudding and so many other options. Good luck! 👍🏻😎
@@maggieguzowski768 Thank you or taking the time to respond, i really appreciate that!
I make bone broth once a week and never gave adding the chia to that. I'll give that a shot. For now, I've been making my own wellness shots and adding a spoon to that. It's been ok.
Yes, if you have the time, i'd to see your breakdown so please, send it! Have a great day..
😊
@@TitianTexan Hello once again. 😀 My pleasure to share….
2 cups of broth; 2 Tablespoons chia seeds; 1 clove minced garlic. (garlic is optional )
Heat broth 3 minutes in microwave in a 2 cup glass measuring cup/mug (Mine has extra room to add & stir)
When done, add chia. Stir. (Stirring avoids clumping.
You will need 15 minutes for
chia seeds to soak)
After 3 minutes, stir again.
While waiting, mince garlic.
Let sit 10 minutes to develop allicin.
After 10 minutes, add garlic to broth. Stir again.
When 15 minutes are up, stir and enjoy! I usually wait an extra 5 min to cool and then drink through a straw. It’s much easier with the chia seeds. 😁
I’ve been enjoying this daily before dinner. 👍🏻
As you know, you can have 1 cup of broth with 1 TBSP chia if 2 cups is too much. 👍🏻 Don’t forget the garlic. lol Enjoy!
Wellness shot sounds interesting. Care to share?
Yes, definitely soak chia in water until it stops absorbing, then add.
Thanks~ I will give this a try tonight!
As per my wellness shots, I take fresh turmeric and ginger root to my juicer. I add a an orange or two, lemon and some green apples to sweeten them up a bit. All goes through the juicer. If you prefer a more veggie wellness shot, you can use carrots, celery, garlic even a tomato. The turmeric and ginger root makes things pretty strong, so add what you can tolerate. Before my morning shot, I add about a tbsp of chia and literally just down it, like a shot! 😆. So far, it's the only way i've been able to get my chia in.. Enjoy & thanks again! 💫@@maggieguzowski768
Sounds amazing
What about oxalates
Omg...my crohns...... id be in the ER within 15 min... but ladies who can... good for you
Can you start incorporating non dairy options like kefir subs for yogurt because SO many of us become lactose intolerant in perimeno but still want all the probiotic benefits.
Thank you❤
Why does ground flax heat me up.
Thank You
That looks so delicious 😋
I'd drink that cause it looks tasty!
Looks good. Do you know of a single power that combines all the necessaries?
Following
I wish I could have this shake but all of it bloats me! 😢
I like you you've helped me loads x
Chia seeds are ridiculously high in carbohydrates!!🥴
But not net carbs because of all the fiber. In our nutrition program we only look at net carbs because we recommend getting at least 25 grams of fiber a day.
~ XO Community Support Team
I make the same and a few variations. The base of protein, creatine and omega 3 seeds is the same. I often add turmeric root and fresh ginger. I trade a couple handfuls of kale rather than fibre, and some days i add 1 T walnuts or almonds rather than the flax or the chia. Blueberries are another great berry to use. Often i also add fresh lemon juice, and sometimes it's apple and cinnamon powder rather than berries.
Rasnrrries are great for women’s problems as teens with problem periods or menopause.
Thanks!!! 💐💐💐💐💫
Can you show me this with whole foods? The way it was intended prior to the imbalance .
I do similar but pack my blender with kale and spinach.
Unfortunately, the raw kale and spinach have oxalates that bind minerals and cause inflammation, so you're better off not adding. Sorry....
Got any advice on how to make the shake for ibs?
Really nutritious. Ma’am I follow you since I got a chance to watch your video on menopause. I am 47 with regular period. But I have joints pain whole body. Hot flash mood swing. Am I on menopause? What supplements or blood test do I need to test ? Please help me.
To borrow a quote from ratatouille, That does NOT sound delicious! 😝
need that in a capsule - could NOT drink it!
We need more wholesomeness in our bodies, that is all we need, we need to come back to our initial macros. And quiet all powders and process foods that have low bioavailability to our bodies.
I’m allergic to quinoa, so I can’t use the Galveston brand fiber supplement. What’s a good substitute?
These protein powders taste gross tho. Fake sugar leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Can you please recommend a good brand for Creatine?
Would this slake be considered a meal replacement?
Yes, you could replace a meal with it but you shouldn't do it regularly as protein powders really aren't as good as protein from whole food sources.
~ XO Community Support Team
Hi Mary can I ask which protein powder you use please x
…”and anti nutrients as well” 😊
Expensive.
Q 🙋♀️ - noticed my GI tract is uncomfortable w/ plain full fat Greek yogurt, but NOT w/ plain non-fat Greek yogurt. Any ideas why? Also, why full fat, significant reason?
Full fat keeps you full longer. Low fat usually adds sugars. They make it look “healthy” but it’s not.
If you are using the same brand then you might be sensitive to the dairy fat. You could try the low fat and see if that bothers you. If they both do then you can use non fat.
~ XO Community Support Team
What id ph of that? I have huge problem with shakes because of acidity.
Any recipe alcaline?🤔
Unfortunately I can't lactose free diet plus ibs leads to fodmap friendly foods
What does the creatine do for menopause? Just curious
Which protein powder do you use?
Tia!!
Please let us know the brands you use and possibly include photos…. Thank you
Don’t know what protein she’s using but she’s using Thorne creatine powder and the fiber she’s using is her own brand which can be found on her website but any soluble fiber will do.
Any suggestions for WHAT protein powder to use, etc?
What protein powder do you suggest?
Our coaches like Truvani, Gainful or Ancient Nutrition. ~ XO Community Support Team
never heard of powder fiber !
What do you replace the yogurt with? Milk allergy here. It’s very inconvenient!
Please tell us how to choose hrt doc correctly !
Do you freshly grind that flaxseed? I've read that if you don't freshly grind flaxseed, it looses much of its benefits while stored already ground.
No maca ? For strength , endurance and hormone balance?
What do you believe the yoghurt does health wise?
Dr Haver, what protein powder do you use?
This ok for every day?
Full fat love it!!
Do u not mix the flax chia hemp together and do a scoop.?
May I ask a question please , are quorn products acceptable in a menopause diet ? . Thanks in advance for response
What is the creatine for?
Is this recommended for a diabetic?
What was the addition right before the flax? XPC, by chance?
What if I don’t like yogurt?
Which protein powder plz share the link
No spirulina?
Do you need to exercise to take creatine ??
Is that chocolate protein powder?
L-Lysine helps increase your protein without all of the calories.
L-Lysine + Valine = protein
Beans + Rice = protein
Milk + Oatmeal = protein 😊
Cant usw creatine mine was high in kidney test
If we can’t have dairy ?
How bout whole foods recipe?
Great 👍 I make a similar shake except no ice because it harms the digestive and reproductive systems.
By the time it makes it there it’s fully melted!😂😂😂
What on earth? Nurse here…drinking ice water can cause the stomach to contract as well as not quenching thirst the way room temp water does but ice in a drink doesn’t harm your GI tract or your reproductive organs. I also have Crohn’s so kind of an expert there
Why the creatine ?? Everything thing else I get
Which powder fiber?
I could do everything but the fiber and seeds..
I’ve been making something very similar for a couple of years. tho I add spinach and spirulina to mine. And sheep yogurt instead of cow. I am 39 and pregnant. I believe it’s one of the things that has helped me to get pregnant twice with ease in my late thirties. Glad to know it’s also good for menopause when the time comes
