For someone that enjoyed health and happiness all her life, it was a complete shock how my life turned upside down in peri menopause. All of sudden, I could not sleep more than 2 hours at a time, I could not even fall asleep for a nap during the day even though I had not gotten any sleep for weeks at a time. I also experienced anxiety for the first time - and it was not mild. It was extreme. Of course, my body changed too, but it was the mental health changes that were shocking and overwhelming! Unfortunately, I did not start HRT until menopause because that is when I learned what was going on. I spent 5 years of needless suffering. Thank you for educating women.

Kristina… omg, u described me! The SLEEP!!! I do not understand this. Except I have not gotten it under control completely yet. Even when I ask friends I get told “that is not a menopause issue.” So I quit asking friends. Dr started me on .50 Estradiol. Has stopped my hair falling out.
I also have stomach issues this last 3months. I’ve not had issues with stomach before. I feel like I am in my first trimester of preg. (NOT possible for me to be preg.) It is diff to keep food down and I never feel hungry anymore. It’s bizarre to me.
Thank you for sharing what u did. I feel a bit less crazy.💖

Thank you so much for dedicating your life to women's health and sharing information you've learned or vetted. One area I haven't been able to find answers is the Combipatch patent. From online searches available to me as a non-medical person, it appears the drug was approved in August 1998 and does not have a generic equivalent. I find it perplexing that the prescription is about $250 for a drug developed decades ago. My insurance carrier does not cover this medication.

Love your channel!!! All you say is true. I love that you. Cite clinical evidence. It’s empowering for women. I’m sick of doctors saying just take the pill and an SSRI and lipid drugs. !!! I did my bloods and my estrogen is 1200 , progesterone 10. I’m 49 , still having cycle but it’s getting longer between by a week , terrible PMT and endometriosis , my mother was post menopause 55. I do weights 4 times a week, however lately it’s not giving me the results. Hence my gp has initiated a bio similar progesterone. It’s lifted my mood, my libido. My question is should I also add estrogem ( my mum and grandma were also naturally high late in life) meaning do I need to up oestrogen as well.
Or just add cardio . Watch diet lol
    Thoughts?

In my early 40s I started gaining weight for the first time in my life and ultimately gained 50 lbs, I only had my menses maybe twice a year, and I had a great deal of fatigue and depression. Blood work showed my estrogen level was normal but my testosterone was an 11 and I had developed hypothyroidism. So two different doctors put me on testosterone, thyroid medication, an antidepressant along with renewing my birth control pills. Nothing helped in any aspect of my health, weight, moods or energy level so when the doctor said my blood work looked great, I broke down in tears so she told me to seek out a therapist. I went to a psychologist and was told I didn't have anything diagnosable and he encouraged me to do my own research into things like nutrition and stress management, etc. So during my research into eating whole food plant based, I stumbled across the term "estrogen dominance". I stopped taking the birth control pills and stopped eating meat and dairy for awhile. One month later I had started losing weight, started having regular menses like clockwork again, got my energy back and I stopped taking all of my medications. I continued to feel amazing and lost the 50 lbs I had gained.
Now at 48, I haven't been to a doctor since then due to a lack of trust, but I get routine blood work done and it still looks good (the basic panel). I feel good for the most part and am still maintaining 120 lbs; however my cycle is starting to get irregular and my energy levels seem to dip severely during the month with shorter and shorter spans of time when my energy, libido and mood are all good and I feel like my normal self. There are other signs I'm in perimenopause so based on the latest study that came out and listening to some of your videos, I've scheduled a doctor's appointment to look into starting HRT; however I am a bit scared. Any words of advice, and have you had patients who have experienced what I have? Thank you!

Dr., I had a progesterone patch during early perimenopause for symptoms related to fibroids. Currently I have no cycle which is wonderful! Also seem to be done with the hot flashes, sleep issues, etc...my blood test shows I'm in menopause regarding my estradiol level (I think it was at < 0). I still have a hard time with increasing my energy, strength, and stamina level...lax skin, cellulite, and getting back to my usual weight. Also, growing up my memory was top notch and I ran track throughout high school. Will getting on an estrogen/progesterone patch help with these menopause symptoms? Is there a patch that has both estrogen and progesterone?

And boy dud I have the hot flashes, nausea and other symptoms. Instead I took primrose oil, flax oil, maca, and a vitamin. Within 2 months I got my period back but was unable to get pregnant as I wanted to. I am now 51. I still have a pretty regular period but take birth control without breaks so I dint get a period. Get a hair mineral analysis test with Rick Fischer once feeling better and he will tell
You what minerals you are low in.
Calcium is KEY for calming is, we do need 750mg-1gram a day. From my research and boron for bones. I’d guess you have low boron levels too. I hope this helps- sing out if you need more help 💕

Me too! Going on 6 weeks of Tamoxifen. I’m so nervous about how it’s going to effect my weight, which stays between 135-142. I’m doing 3 meals a day with lean protein and a fruit or veggie. Trying not to snack. 2 protein shakes a day. Working out with a trainer twice a week to help with muscle tone. Also, trying to get more sleep and drinking 100oz water daily. I’m hoping this will work🙌🏼 Hoping you find what will help you as you navigate through your journey Pink Sister🙏🏼🎀

Hi, low potassium is also a cause of inflammation- look into Dr Berg. Also Dr Christiane Northrup for natural estrogen. 💕🙏

There is no set level that estrogen should be, it will vary by person. Menopause should be diagnosed and treated based on symptoms.
