Einhard's Life of Charlemagne
Here is King Charles of the Franks, Charlemagne, the Father of Europe, Holy Roman Emperor (748-814 CE). His biography is from one of his closest advisors and confidantes, the scholar Einhard (775-840 CE), with an introduction by the medieval scholar abbot Walafridus Strabo (808-849 CE). Both Strabo and Einhard make efforts to convince their readers and listeners that this account is absolutely historically perfect because Einhard was there. As such, we are supposed to receive it as uncritically as we would a sermon from the Bible. Such ideas of objective impartiality were well-accepted in this age. But finding Einhard's oblique opinions hidden in the reportage makes for fascinating research. For example, Queen Fastrada seems to represent all that was ever wrong about the reign of Charles to Einhard, and the concubine who followed her is so little loved that he omits her name from the historical record entirely, pretending that he doesn't recall the name of the mother of one of the children of the King.
Einhard speaks on the 47 years of war and conquest, but also on the domestic and personal sides of Charles. He covers something of the history of the French royal houses and discusses the religion, law, and culture of the 8th - 9th century Franks. But as with any story of Charlemagne, this account encompasses the known world, from Persia to Denmark, from Scotland to Beneventum. What is so fascinating about this account is that it is such a clear and extended look at an individual who lived over 1200 years ago--and not just any individual but one of the most extraordinary figures in the historical record. Einhard works quite hard to try to communicate the grandeur and force of Charlemagne as a person, hoping to convey to us how a single man was able to build such a great empire.
This is a new adaptation I've written from public-domain versions of the text which attempts to make it as accessible and clear to a modern audience as possible. As such, it is not a word-perfect translation. Certain flourishes have been edited out and other concepts and passages have been expanded so that the audience might understand them better. Apologies for the French accent.

Not surprising. This find seems to confirm what is in the Declaration of Arbroath; that the Gaels originated from Egypt, then traveled through Spain, stayed there a while, before moving to Ireland. Then a group of the Irish took over parts of Scotland and buried their Queen's remains there: the legendary Queen Scotia, for whom Scotland is named.

Archaeologists have found the tomb of Philipp II, father of Alexander the Great. The inscripts are in Greek. They also found the tomb of Alexander the sixth, son of Alexander the Great. The letters are also in Greek. And in Alexandria of Egypt, the stone engravements, hidden in the earth below the Roman period, are Greek as well. The Persians considered the Macedonians Greek, Alexander considered himself son of Zeus. So they were obviously Slavs from Yugoslavia!

Many comments here are 🤦🏽‍♂️ Quite simply, the Christian Iberian kingdoms that conquered the Muslims were not a continuation of the Christian kingdoms from before the muslim invasion. That's why it can't be reconquest. The religion of the many sides involved is irrelevant. Castille, Aragon or Portugal were not resurgent remenants of Visigoth kingdoms. This is especially true of Aragon/Catalonia, which had their origins in countries of the Carolingian Empire. Yeah commenting on a 3 year old video is silly, but whatever 🤷🏽‍♂️

After 2500 years i listened for first time Dr. Kennedy that Aristotle was not considered Greek at that time because, at the time, he had Macedonians roots and relationships!!! We all know that back then they had the so called today cities-states. So, Athens was a different state than Sparta and so on... but in today's terminology they were all the same "nation", all Greeks. This is easily explained and justified when Spartans and Athenians united against the Persians, a common enemy. And yes, the Spartans and the Athenians were kept distinct, same as what Dr. Kennedy is saying for Macedonians and Greeks... That was a common practice back then. Each state-city had its one Generals and different war strategy and they were mentioned separately... nothing strange at that time. Another weak argument is that the Macedonians were considered threat to Greeks... Well the Spartans and the Athenians had so many years of wars between each other and they were definitely consider each other as enemy, not just threat. Consider Scottish and English... are they both British or not? And the analysis continues and says that Macedonians were speaking Greek but because they had slightly different dialect they were also considered outsiders... Let me enlighten everyone that similar comments are made even today between Athenians and Thessalonikians... does that mean Thessalonikians are not Greek? This is very common everywhere in the world. Anyway, since the ancient Macedonians were speaking Greek, why the "Northern Macedonians" today speak totally different language? How is someone's ethnicity determined? Top 4 criterion in importance order: 1. Language 2. Culture 3. Believes (Political, Social and Religious) 4. Territory of birth/ residence Well, the so called "Northern Macedonians" tick only point 4, which is very weak because basically most of them were born in

Looking at the writing on the helmet and compering it to Latin , Greek , Vinca (larger number of variants to the same letter ,and the letters of Serbian "Cyrillic " which uses 25 letters from Vinca in their alphabet and script. This is logically concluding that Etruscans were communicating and living and passing trough The Balkans and came across Lepenski Vir, Vinca , Starcevo culture or Danube Civilization . They were predominantly Y DNA haplogroup R1b ,which is the one The Step herders from The Russian Steppe and Siberia predominantly carry. They are portrayed as invaders from the east , on horses with weapons even tough it was a stone age weapon . People living in copper age, have stationary farming , calendar, metallurgy , gold, copper, Tin, Bronze, BUT they had only farming tools and no weapons. they were highly developed and lived in a sort of matriarchal in egalitarian society ,in peace for 6000+ years. The last major book written by Harald Harrmann , The Mistery of Danube Civilization ,first European and likely global so far discovered by official science. What do you think , is it possible that Vinca script and alphabet was used by Etruscans. It looks like they moved further west from Danube , and using the knowledge they received from Vinca people in Metallurgy, alphabet etc. was put in use to develop western Europe . There were constant attacks from the West their male population was decimated and women were "adopted " hence female DNA is showing a sudden appearance of Haplogroups with roots in Anatolia and Middle east and aboriginal I2a YDNA predominant 45.000 years ago in the same areas i.e. Balkans , have started their common future. Could go on , but its too much for now. Any comment ,providing its with substance , is very Welcome. I'm an amateur who got interested in antient history and lost / ignored parts of it which becomes more interesting by the day , with new modern technology used in archeology, DNA , carbon dating , linguistics, coming up with daily revolution+ discoveries which normally contradicts in some cases modern presentation of the "facts " I think History is not a linear curve going with the speed of a spier but rather a sinusoidal format ,in waves which are constantly changing. Think about it .If it was linear we could easily Project the Future.

These remarkable similarities in language, love for freedom, mountain-dwelling traditions, and fierce warrior culture strongly suggest a common ancestry or historical ties between these two groups
