in Dubai there are police deployed on the ground where u get ur tickets after you tap ur card, just behind the cashier, and then on each side of the platforms there's 2 or 3 DDubai police. I always exchanged at a reputable place like the bank, Thomas Cook or came with the money from my home country. I must say as I just called them reputable, once exchanging had my wallet out and the clerk pointed at the US bills I had in my wallet meaning to give him those "they will do fine" trying to confuse me!! I didn't give in and corrected him. Those too you have to watch, they go home with their own profit! Also, demanding cash when on their window it shows all the credit cards they accept yet want cash. You just never know. All kinds of them out there looking for vulnerable tourists.

Oh come on, I am a software engineer and there is no way that something as obvious as that is a bug - they deliberately engineered it this way.

I was born and raised in Brazil, I'm 32 years old and I've never heard of banks charging their customers to know their balances. The banking system here is quite advanced compared to other countries. The only case in which we are charged fees for this type of service is when we ask the ATM to print a statement of my bank balance, again, printed, there is no charge to view it digitally. That in itself already sounds absurd to me. And to make matters worse, create a trick to mislead customers then... This is unheard of for me. Sad to see that the market where the video takes place, the banks' business scheme works in such a way P.S. On the other hand, here in Brazil, especially in big cities, we don't usually use cash, just credit cards, so I believe that banks here are more focused on this type of payment.

I remember over less than 2 years ago some Middle Eastern looking guy was driving a green minivan. So he pulls me over to get his attention cut story short he tells me he needs money 💰 for gas. And shows me gold jewelry and that he’ll sell it to me for $100 there was a woman a child and an elderly woman. I clearly knew it was a scam so I told him that his gas ⛽️ money situation isn’t my problem. So he quickly drove away I wish I would’ve taken his license plate so that I would’ve reported him to the police.

I've tried the same with telling tourists they shouldn't buy physical train tickets from the card machines or even stand in line at a ticket service desk here (Netherlands) because you pay a commission on it. Nowadays you can just tap your bank card at the train gates/check in pole, or order a QR code for your phone on their website. Still many refuse and get the ticket anyway. In this case both options are official ones, and it's not really a scam. I guess it's just to disincentivize waste, but I still can't help but feel they are making some nice extra off a 1€ commission on a 5€ train ticket for every tourist that goes to Amsterdam.
