Where do the scammers continue to get all their fake money from. Would it make a good story if you found the source and put a stop to it.
I could go into a store that sells coins, they have boxes of expired money from around the world. Pawn shopes, jewelry stores, sports cards shopes...
The reason why he is referring to Albanians is because they are the nemesis of Romani. Back in 1999, during the Kosovo War, Romani sided with the Serbs. For instance, when NATO joined the war, Serbs knew that almost all communications where intercepted, so they used the Romani to communicate so NATO despite all the translators couldn't understand a thing. The Serbs eventually retreated and the Romani became victims of revenge, so many of them migrated. Those who did not leave Kosovo are even today considered as glass, they are totally ignored and have almost zero rights.
Fun fact 911 (NA emergency number) works around the world as well
ME ALBANIA BE CAREFUL!
What if someone goes to one of these scammers and try to change money, BUT the plot twist is you trying to change the same expired money as what he would offer?
I'd like to use old Confederate money.
They probably are more valuable that the one you will receive
he`d lose nothing
@@JohnDlugosz That would probably be more valuable than the stuff you receive. You could use Argentinian Pesos, they are as worthless as the expired currency you get back.
@@MyRegardsToTheDodo Right now in argentina, and the smallest bill seems to be a 20, and that's still 2 euro cents.
Wait! Me Poland! Be careful. I have here... Czech Republic friends. ❤
szkoda, że w Polsce nie mamy takiego "guide" z jajami
@@margplsr3120Szkoda. Bardzo bym chciał, żebyście mieli w Polsce kogoś takiego jak Janek i Honza.
Me Europe be careful
Me Romania! And I feel so embarrassed on these romanian scamers. But I really like Honest Guide. And I apreciate that you don't label countries. But if you try to label us as thieves, remember that we have chechenien friends 😅
Well, that's why Punjabi music was there (indicating the descent). Everybody in Central, Eastern and South of Europe can tell he is Roma (i.e. Gipsy) and if from Romania they are not actual Romanian nationality. About time for Western world to learn the difference and stop labeling "Romanians" as thieves and scammers.
also northern europe, very easy to spot. we all know the difference. no one calls them romanian, they are called sigøyner and tater here.@@angua65
@@angua65 yeah but that doesnt matter to foreigners, if gypsy people from czech republic travel somewhere, its czech people in news who are labeled as criminals, if its gypsy people from slovakia, its slovaks labeled as criminals, if its gypsy people from Romania, you get the idea.... Nobody is spared of it who has gypsy population and westerners will still think gypsy is Brad Pitt, nothing can fix this
You don't have to feel embarrassed; anyone with a minimum of general culture knows that this man may have Romanian nationality, but he is not ethnically Romanian. From his phenotype, it can be clearly deduced that he belongs to the Roma ethnicity (of Indian descent).
They’re funny why are you embarrassed 😂 he made the best memes
Company I work at has a conference in Prague next week and me and some coworkers have linked your channel and videos to our other coworkers scared about scammers in Prague. You have the best way of explaining how to avoid scams and to enjoy Prague at the same time.
Hey Janek and Honza! Been following this series for quite a while now. Really good to know to avoid these kind of scams not only in Prague but else where across the world. Stay safe while patrolling as Spider-Man ;)
I wish every country has Honest Guides like you and Honza...Bravo!
dude we love the way you make fools of these dirty thiefs thankyou
Just realized you rock a Repertoár shirt - that was the album that introduced me to Prague and the country itself many many years ago. Fell in love with the language right away :) Your videos were also helpful multiple times planning trips to Prague and I'm so thankful for that!
The Punjabi music 😂😂😂
The first experience on our trip to prague last weekend was a well dressed elderly guy, fishing coins out of the candle-donationbox inside a church, with a magnetic rod. He left when we told him to stop, but the level of sneakieness in this (otherwise very lovely) city is off the charts. Good to know there's also a growing vigilance, thanks to you guys!
Me Bulgaria! And I absolutely love Honest Guide. If you come across scammers from Bulgaria, take them out immediately and we'll be drinking Czech beer on me when I visit lovely Prague next time.
As an Albanian and not on Tiktok who has been following you, my first thought were “what the f.. have any of us done in Prague that this guy is exposing”.
I had a laugh. Thanks for it. 😄
If that scammer dude is Albanian then I'm from Mars
Eh this was super ! Thx and greetings from Finland❤
Thanks to you, scammers will become a tourist attraction in Prague. LOL. Keep making good videos. Gracias!
really never gets old.... love this stuff
Do more catching scammers while wearing spiderman mask, please!
Don't worry, you have a lead role in the new Deadpool movie 😁
Janek, your rapping was not bad. Cheers!
It’s weird because there’s 1000 other quotes from these videos which are just as good but this one became a meme
Hate tic tok, love you tube for creators and content.
Keep doing what you do 👍👌

All Eastern European countries should have honest guides especially at their resorts.
They are not Eastern european.
@@mrkv4kWhere exactly did you saw me writing the Honest guide is Eastern European?
@@ra-ge Your sentence: "All Eastern European countries should have honest guides" implies that.
@@mrkv4k No it doens't. It implies that all Eastern European countries could use with a "Honest Guide" style program. "All Hispanic countries should have honest guides, especially at their resorts" It doesn't implie that they're Hispanic already, only that all Hispanic countries could benefit from such a program.
@@vangraff3478 Yes, it does. When you say "All Hispanic countries should have honest guides", it implies tha there already is a Hispanic country with an "honest guide". That's how the language works. If you'd want to get rid of that implication, you would need to use "too" at the end of that sentence.
It's like saying "Look at this healthy dog. All cats should be healthy." Read it out loud - can you hear the dissonance? Dog is not a member of the "cats" group and that's why this doesn't work. You would have to say "all cats should be healthy too."
And sure, this is just about linguistic semantics.
You just hit 11 on my awesome dial. I thought it would only reach 10.
This reminds me of the German movie "Buba", where a german dude pretending to be austrian forces his german brother to join the "fake albanian maffia" by emotional manipulation.
That list of all the first responders cars; I now see that the Dutch have the most expensive cars (VW and newest Mercedes, with nice logos)
I learn everyday.
Great video again. I always struggle to remember these guys faces, even if I do walk around Prague quite often, I don't seem to be able to recognise these guys.
Just a thought, why not team up with the turist information thing, they make these small maps every turist have, and have all their faces printet on the backside, then the turist's could play, scammer bingo, while touring Prague.
Because that would be ilegal
@@Lizzzard22You may be right, but there is actually an exception of publishing video and pictures of individuals in CZ, without consents.
Actual czech law: Civil Code (number 89/2012), § 84 to § 90.
See the sections 88 and 89 for the exceptions.
Section 88
(1) The consent is not required if the image, or audio or video recording is made or used to exercise or protect other rights or legally protected interests of others.
(2) The consent is also not required where an image, document of a personal nature or audio or video recording is made or used by means of a statute for official purposes, or where someone performs a public act in matters of public interest.
Section 89
An image, or audio or video recording may, without the consent of an individual, also be reasonably made or used for scientific or artistic purposes and for print, radio, television or similar coverage.
Just be careful and especially don't trust dark objects
We even got a scammer in a music video, nice
Hope at least they paid them
Great job.
Man, Kovy looks so much like a young Norm McDonald!
RULIČKÁŘ, Sound of the Summer!
I think it would be funny to have a bunch of Confederate money on-hand and see if the scammer will change it.
Like the recently retired currency he's trading for, Confederate money used to be readily available in mass quantities. There were ads in the back of comic books selling bagfulls to kids.
Gypsy are from India, they are not like other piople!
They were deployed by the British to all our countries because of the way they behave and are. It was and still is an attempt to weaken our societies.

Me: "Where did my computer go?!"
My computer: "Me Albania!"
In saturday, I met a weird russian speaking person (but I think he was a Bulgar) who had full hand of coins and saying that he will buy cigarettes from us and he will pay, it was literally next to tobacco shop, so we were confused and send him to buy it in tobacco shop. What is this about? What was he trying to do? I later met him again at Wenceslas Square suspiciously walking around.
I have to check your scammer list, maybe he is there, he had that typical stupid hat like from 30s. 😀
He probably works with pickpocketers and was trying to distract you or he didn't have enough money to buy cigarettes(i highly doubt it), but be careful especially if he had darker skin complection, since most pickpocketers are gypsies who are very skilled by the way(i've being robbed by them).
@@ra-ge I didn't want to mention his color, because comments disapear then, but you know.... 😀
You made the scammer self-conscious and robbed Prague of a local celebrity
His friends are going to make you kaput
He will be mistaken
At this point I would not be surprised if Janek actually had "friends" in much scarier circles than those scammers. 😅
Me Europe be careful
NO MONEY NO NOTHING FINISH!
Please keep in mind that, at least in some locations, 112 is a *real* emergency number when yours or someone else's life is in real life-threatening danger, and calling that number if it is a scam might be a bit unethical at least. And it would still be beneficial to keep the number saved or memorized for the country you are visiting
Sorry for all the people being scammed by those individuals from my country! Romania is a decent place with decent people for the most part, too bad those people get to define the image of our country abroad!
Sadly it's those you come in contact with abroad. Awful street "musicians" (the city of Dresden even made a new street music law only because of one awful band), beggars, scammers, people who sell roses. And quite notably rent nomads who utterly destroy where they live.
But almost everybody knows that's not the "real" Romanians.
@@Hortifox_the_gardener sad but true, I've seen them from Oslo to Barcelona, this type of activities are everywhere where tourists are, they are real romanians, they have romanian citizenship and are easy to spot, much easier than decent people
@@petrepiscoiGypsies
Aren't they mostly of gypsy ethnicity and not Romanian
@@ryoukwjdbwopqmqpzl73819 well, maybe, maybe not, they where born in Romania, they speak Romanian, they have Romanian Id so we can't just pretend they are something else...whenever you have a group of people in a getto this happens, the race does not have much to do with anything
Janek how about the taxi drivers mafia in Prague? It´s been a while since the last video on them
Services like Uber did lower their impact
Uber basically solved the issue. Taxi scammers lost airport contracts to Uber and are not allowed to lurk around main train station anymore.
I just hope you have a backup of your drive.

Hey honest guiders. I've been a subscriber for a while now. A great idea for an honest video is to do one on why you think the local bar tenders and waiting on staff in Prague are so good damn miserable and some cases rude towards tourists. I adore Prague because it is beautiful. But my god, the people are not very nice at all. Sorry, just being honest!

@@Hortifox_the_gardener That's not true. The problem is that as with many crimes they need to catch them in the act and that rarely happens. A couple of them were actually caught a deported.
