Of course the first Honest Guide video I show my mother is the one that advertises “intimate products” 😂
everybody does it - nothing to be ashamed off :D
@doposud yeah but I don't get why it's here, he complains that tourists buy toys that can be found elsewhere and then proceeds to recommend a vibrator, nothing wrong with it just not a good souvenir also all the stuff he recommends is overpriced as fuck. 599 za nějaký bílý tričko, fakt dobrá cena
You know, what I'm asking myself now is 'has she been an sex toy designer from the start and someone in the city administration was so impressed by her designs that they let her design trams too or had she designed trams first and had thus learned so much about trains going through tunnels that she turned into a sex toy designer later?'
@@wookie2222She designed toys first, tram after. Can’t wait to see the new funicular at work, but this will take a couple of years…
@@qstier1289 When it coms to vibr. and such, you don't understand the difference between mass produced items that resellers pick from Chinese factory catalogue and just put their logo on them, and products developed by designer, made locally for high quality.
For the rest: each and every souvenir for turists is overpriced as f. But if tourist can afford to fly half of the word to get there..., after this video he can at least choose etween overpriced local or global
that souvenir store went 0-60 really quick
fr💀
0 to 600!
I was watching thinking "hmm not sure about that place those little toy things kinda look like butt plugs"... Turns out I was right hahaha
@@IAmABoss2Amateur, those are anal beads. Not plugs.

As an avid collector of fridge magnets from the different destinations I've visited, I'm truly insulted by the title 😅
Thing is: Very often in the picture is not even the city which is in the name.
I know and what is more I was rushed to rehab because of the upset
Hello fellow magnet collector! What type of magnets do you like? Simple square ones, or fancy and unique looking ones? I personally like chunky, sculpture like magnets.
There is nothing wrong about buying cute magnets. This guy is just trying to be edgy and different as always. Meanwhile, his creepy smile tells me he is on verge of a mental breakdown... school shooter vibes.
@@SkankBoy69 Bruh... srsly?
I just really wanted to send prayers to all of the Prague and Czechia people regarding the recent school shooting!😭Rest in peace to all of the victims and I wish all the best wishes to the victims families!❤🙏
Ach stimmt ja.Auch von mir mein Beileid an die Familien und Angehörigen der Opfer....... Oh yes you are right. I send my condolence too, to the families of the victims.
♥
It only takes one. Prague will bounce back. Condolences to the families.
Man I love watching theses video and this is the reason I will visit. Also I’m sorry to hear about what happened recently there, what a horrible situation. I hope the people in the city can move forward and try keep there chin up
Sending wishes to residents to Prague!
After four years of watching your channel and planning a New Year's Prague trip, four times delayed, I will finally be there in three days. Thanks for all the info through lockdown and all the rest. I intend for my first souvenir to be the Honest Guide book. It's been sold out forever!
Update: Having a good time! Can’t find your book though.
Update, about to head to the airport. I went against your advice and had a trdelnik and I gotta say, disappointing. The way the cone unspirals makes for a messy eat. The waffle cone is simply superior.
Writing this from the Cafe Orient. Good place. Glad you put it in a video.
I was at the Rudolfinum last Thursday only 20 minutes before the attacker started shooting. Just because of your recommendation of the Las Adelitas mexican Restaurant we went away from the scene at the right time and the food was very delicious. You guys possibly saved our lives.
And all your other tips were absolutely perfect. We had a very good guide, nice food, saw very much and were everywhere at the perfect time with low tourist traffic.
Thank you guys for your channel and your work!
Rest In Peace to all the victims of the recent Prague school shooting
Nice to see you back in Prague! Also, yes to souvenirs ❤
This video is honestly very helpful for any tourist in Prague! Thank you! Definitely will be following up on your recommendations~
I second the Mustek Czech transport shop and also the gift shop at the transport museum. Transit souvenirs are especially nice for those of us living in cities that do transit poorly. Souvenirs from Prague that I've enjoyed quite a bit recently are czech cookie molds and mixed ground perničky spices. (If you are looking around for them ask for formičky na cukrovi (four-mitch-key-na-tsu-kro-vee). Also the Charles University Bookstore on Celetna has a very good collection of books about Prague and Czechia in English translation. Prague the City and It's River (Praha - Město a řeka) is particularly good for tourists, as is their series on architectural history (e.g. Baroque Prague).
Happy birthday Janek! ❤🎉
Rip for the victims
Happy birthday, Janek! 🎉
missed a trick to promote your 'Honest Guidebook' as a souvenir...
i hope you and your family are safe i know nobody in Prague except you and you were my first thought blessings brother
I went to Bohéma during my trip to Prague because of this video, and it was excellent! The owner was very kind as well. Thanks Janek 😊
Just visited Prague during christmas for five days, my first ever trip by airplane. (I'm 41 years old) Your videos helped a lot! Thank you guys! Amazing work you do!
In the 2.5 years I lived there I don't think I ever bought a souvenir except for a Prague beanie cuz it was cold af and I was working the pub crawls. I fueled the economy through beer sales though. 🤷🏼♂️
I still prefer fridge magnets because I don't need to buy a cabinet to store them unlike the other souvenirs. But the shirts are cool and worth checking out.
I collect magnets (and have one from Prague), and I like to think I hold out for the particularly tasteful ones, but these souvenirs are truly awesome. Hope to come back and check them out some time soon.
My friend is going to Prague in February. I will show him this video.
Happy birthday Janek
I was there so many times over the years. Main thing I always would buy when there was Česnečka. Not much of a souvenir, but wonderful nonetheless.....
R.I.P to all the young people who got killed on December 21st. Condolences to the families.
Interesting with the knife and carry-on. I never travel with anything remotely sharp anymore because I used to have issues for the smallest stupidest things, like manicure scissors, but the rules keep on changing and just the last time I flew I saw a rule about a blade over certain amount of centimeters so it is possible that it would be allowed, but definitely a good idea to check. It would be pity to have it thrown away.
I also think a great souvenir is something made of glass, we have many wonderful shops with bohemia crystal/glass products, or the collectable spoons, I typically bring to my friends in England Kolonada wafers, they love it, I’ve had success with slivovice, I personally love to keep public transport tickets or pick up a piece of rock in a nice place/park, mark on it the location and add to my collection. Or postcards, which I then keep for myself and I think one day I might frame them and put on a wall or into an album.
At the Prague Airport, any blade under 6cm is permitted as a carryon item - I work there. Larger blades can be stored in checked in luggae.
I usually try to buy souvenirs from museum shops. They tend to have better quality stuff.
Merry Christmas Janek and Honza, Veselé Vánoce Jankek a Honza Frohe Weihnachten Janek und Honza
My favourite souvenir would be a photo with these guys 😂 Great work guys! Keep it up!
I bought kohinoor pencils for my grandchildren and puzzles from the store you are in in this video.
I'm happy and proud that you showed sex toys! It's not really a secret anymore, is it... And they are way cheaper than wandering into a strip club and ordering a drink. Besides, sex toys are not trying to get you drunk on alcohol!
As you might already know, I try to deter my younger mates to stay away from the strip-clubs, and instead have a beer in a proper pub (not really that hard to find in Prague, don't you agree?
Great insight and these are great souvenir shops. One thing though is that when people buy souvenirs they may want the item to be clearly identified as belonging to a place they visited. So however generic t-shirts or socks with 'Prague' may be - they will do the job. Yet a t-shirt with the hedgehog toy is a much more obscure reference. Also I don't think many tourists would want this metro tile, let alone for 600eur. I mean if you're Prague native, and you passed by this tile every day, thus it has a place in your heart to the point of you wanting to hang it on your wall, then its understandable. But tbh the tile is pretty plain and unless one is into abstract art - I don't see it being desirable. Not hatin, just my 2 cents )
As a local, I'd love the metro tile.. but maybe for like 50€, not 600€. I really don't think that's a justified price for a replica that wasn't even used.
tbh the tourist souvenirs are much better 😂
Very sad attack in prague university! R.I.P
I wish i knew this before but, prepared for the next time. You guys are awesome
I buy fridge magnets where ever I travel and got a few from Prague. Also from Prague a few football T shirts/Scarves .
Adding these to my list next time I go
I usually buy postcards wherever I go. It doesn't cost much and I can put many postcards in my bag. Sometimes I buy a coffee cup.
thanks, Happy new year
The story, how the Honest Guide changed to sexshop 😅
Anyway - sorry to say that, but today it was like teleshopping...
Please don’t get a Czech sim, it’s a complete ripoff. Get a polish esim from Orange, it’s amazingly cheap and also works throughout Europe. Polish data rates are one of the lowest in Europe
Good advice but rather difficult if you don't arrive trough Poland.
@@trirain146 no, it’s not, you can download and activate it anywhere inside the eu. Don’t spread misinformation
My sister bought a tea cup that a very simple store that sold antiques put on a table by the street. On the underside of the cup it said something like "Made in Czechoslovakia" (not in English of course)
Possibly "Vyrobeno v Československu", but english writing of "Made in Czechoslovakia" also wasn't uncommon.
Hey man, I have followed your videos for the last two years and finally I am in Aachen, Germany. Someday like you visit the Prag city.
Merry Christmas 🎄
My friend went to Prague years ago and knows I'm into ice hockey and bought me a puck. I thought that was a good idea.
It is because Ice Hockey pucks are made in Czech republic. Even for NHL. They are all made here.
@@saiien2actually there are several factories. Not all are made in Czechia.
I rather have the fridge magnet then your weird advertisement of these "toys"
When I visit Prague, I buy almost everything in Manufaktura. ❤
Will there be one day magnetic intimate toys with a picture of Prague on it? 😂
You can't get a tea towel with the sites of Prague on. That's one you should look into. Also my deepest sympathy with everyone in the Czech Republic. I have visited there over 30 times, it's the most beautiful country and the people are so lovely. I'll be back in Summer with my family.
Amazing episode kluci
I have to say, as a regular viewer a Czech vibrator was not something I'd ever expect to see in one of these videos. Well done!
Oh, nice
Literally one day after I returned from Prague haha
Hey mate, I just returned from Prague and your videos helped out big time! very sad to hear about the shooting on the square, I was standing there just a few days before it happened :(
it wasn't on the square, but at the university
@@krystofhavir7593 Jan Palach square also
I left with 2 fridge magnets, a shirt that says "Praha Drinking Team", and a Doors t-shirt...oh and several coasters from different bars
Don't get O2 SIM in the Czech Republic. It's extremely overpriced. Buy it in another country which is cheaper.
I collect fridge magnets, so I'll go for fridge magnets. Not the cheap weird tacky ones, obviously, but still.
When I went to Switzerland I bought a very nice swiss army knife as a souvenir and at the airport control they saw it and the police approached me.
When they checked it and saw that it was a souvenir, they measured the size of the blade (deliberately wrongly, I suppose) and said that I could board the plane with it as it was small.
I recommend buying this kind of things only if you are going to check-in luggage to avoid any surprises or disappointments!
My favorité souvenirs from Praha.are always Bohemia brand bramborářky, Fidorka And Studentská čokoládu! Yum!
I love your videos I download all ur videos n keep in my laptop and watch in my free time too.. one day I will visit parague
I am.from mumbai, India
Where was the wall with the faces at the end? Looks cool
Itʼs Trade Fair Palace, part of the National Gallery
🎄Merry Christmas 🎄
I always collected the beer mugs, of course always after finishing the pivo🍻
Kretek; Pat a Mat :)))
These are icons!
We've visited several times, but the souvenirs we use most often are ornaments from the Christmas markets. But we've also brought home bottles of wine and Armagnac, as well as leather pouches and metal buttons for costumes. :-)
If you are into christmas ornaments I have to recommend Rautis in Poniklá. To be fair it's a bit far from prague but they have an eshop. They are hand blown and great fun for kids to make your own ornaments and see how glass beads are made.
The biggest souvenir gift in this video is somebody unironically thanking O2 😅😅
last time i visited prague with dad we were in zlatá ulička and near castle and i bought dagger, it was just for show but it was a cool one :D
Just FYI - Rybička is cute but very, very sharp right out of the box.
Ask me how I know.... 😅
Yup. Especially when that flips back!! There is a shop that sells them in different colors too!
I bought Gambrinus Desitka 24tray at Makro
Alos as I recently learned, Baťa made the warmest shoes ever for US Army during 50´s. Like -29°C rated. I´d love to get those :D
I will be in Prague and need to look for you. Am your fan
I bought a Gollum in the Jewish quarter. I love your channel & Prague.
please more videos on this topic: memories and souvenirs worth buying vs hugely overpriced tourist scams
That last store is hot! 🔥
how is prague recovering from that mass shooting ?
If I only had known about these last year when I visited Prague
Best toys ever! Only bought a couple of things 6 yrs ago, (I think in that very sweet shop) & back this summer for more :)
Also Kretk. Maybe he’s silly now in Czechia (?) but truly loved him since I was tiny and we somehow had the original book in California in English in the 60s. My dad read it to me often. Was SO excited & surprised to discover his crazy back story and get to purchase a tiny version of the little industrious guy.
Curious, is he an issue at all in Czechia, or just an old kinda boring overdone thing, like maybe Mickey Mouse here? I hope he’s still at least a little beloved for being super adorable.
Rybicka za 199? Co je zac? Original stoji stovku
i had no idea what i was watching until i heard the word vibrator i thought i was looking at art🤣
But... I like fridge magnets XD. I buy them for myself as collectibles :D. So I can keep track of where I have been so far in the world.
My 11 year old loves to collect them. We usually go for a post card and Christmas ornament too.
I think video was meant more of a stores showcase, since most of the stores he showed have magnets. In my opinion with nicer design.
Bude nějaké video/vyjádření ke střílení?
Co maji rict?
I travel the opposite of my wife. I bring a big suitcase that is half empty and bring back lots of stuff. I brought back about ten beers and opened them and gave reviews for Facebook. I tried to find bad beers but was unsuccessful. The only one I did not buy was about three feet tall and about a foot and a half wide that was clear green plastic, looking like something you would bring to a barracks or dorm room proclaiming "Dude, we're going to get waisted." I also got a few Mikov knives and similar things.
Ha, Hugo chodi bos. I went there on my first trip to Czechia in 2019 to buy gifts for my nephew and niece :)
can you make a vid about all you can eat spots in prague#
Or czech design jewelry and glass are perfect souvenirs :)
Rybicka knife is definitively not a carry on item. I'm a proud owner of the case it came in.
I have a krteček on my desk :) and I got a book with traditional recipes (in čech, learned the language for one year).
wish i saw this 4 years ago 😢
I think honest guide is the best ambassador for Prague tbh. Should be appointed as honorary ambassador of the city.
One of the best. "Real Prague Guides" channel is right up there and actually covers a lot more of Prague and outside of.
Are you the dark tourist on Netflix?
I really want the Pat i Mat figures and Krecik..... very popular in poland
I bought only magnets from Prague
So where are Metro tiles sold?
My smallest souvenir Swiss knife was taken away by security check before boarding. So i wouldn't really count on taking it in carry-on bag.
I feel like a child who was just scolded for buying something I shouldn't have bought LOL
I wouldn't walk around with that RAF-Shirt @05:14 in Germany. :D
Rybička killed me
Terrible sorry to hear about the tragedy in your beautiful town.
1:52 XDDDDDDDDDDD i'm done
