Good evening Mr. Matt, I'm sorry, I know this is not the topic in this video but I ask you a question, I have seen your magnificent reviews of the Viltrox 16mm 1.8 lenses, and the Tamrron Zoom 28-75 G2 F 2.8 for Nikon Z, I am starting from scratch both in the video and in the photography. I lean more towards the video. Could you recommend any of these lenses? Currently, I have the Z 30 but I am going to purchase the Nikon Z F. It is very important for me to know your comments. Someone needs to build a little HDMI dongle thingy with an asic or something that can AI denoise and literally just have an hdmi in and and hdmi out which is the denoised version :D :D

Now, lets see you do some landscape work with this workhorse. We have portraits and wildlife and even video. I think this camera will be a great ALL ROUNDER. But…. Would love to see a dedicated video to landscape only

Why don't cameras after you've taken a shot, analyse the accelerometers that were doing the IBIS and beep nice if you held it stead and make a horrible sound if you moved too much and then taking a photo is just clicking until you hear a nice sound OR literally have a 'continuous-until-good-stabilisation' drive mode

I literally can't imagine 8K it must be like living in a movie in the future having 8K

Another channel challenged the Dynamic Range at ISO 100, showing that it is not as good as the Z6ii or the Z7ii. Can you delve into its Dynamic Range and do some comparison? Since I have a Z8 and Z6ii already, maybe I don't need the extra speed.

I just ran across your video... I have that lens paired up with my Nikon D5 & D6. It's a beast,but if I'm lazy using my Nikkor 500PF. I look the comparisons. Makes me want to put it on my gimbal-head. The photos are sharp! Even with the Nikkor 1.4 teleconverter.Thanks for the video..

Do you think there is a possibility that the double transistor layer from Sony will be scaled up to medium format cameras from Fuji or Hassel anytime soon?

Hi! Good vid, makes me want to spend money though, thanks..! I've been using the 24-70mm F/4 lens for 4 years, and have just bought the 24-120mm. I'll not miss having to twist to unlock on the 24-70mm, when I need a shot fast it really gets in the way. I think it's a little odd how no one mentions this.

Z lenses have no character. Just bland looking. That alone is enough to keep me from switching to mirrorless! I just bought a Nikon 70-200 FL. Now that is a beautiful lens with character. For all the Zen / Z crap, the Z lens doesn't look very zen to me.

Thank you for your excellent video. Now some reviewers started talking about the Z6III's DR. They said that the Z6III's Dr is worse than the Z6. Did you experience that?

I hope Nikon will release more of these lenses.

Weird to hear you say that we could buy a 3rd party charger. I don't have the memory I once did but I'm pretty sure you've spoken about original batteries vs 3rd party batteries in previous videos and that you said you always would buy original batteries so I would think the same logic would apply to chargers. And also... not everybody has lots and lots of usb-c cables. At least I don't But I guess I shouldn' really care about any of this because I'm not going to buy any new camera. Firstly I can't afford to and secondly I don't want to pay these insane prices they charge for them. Maybe if I win the jackpot on Eurojackpot. Then I might consider it. 🤔

Using the Sony 70-200 F2.8 GM mark 2 on my Z9 and it's awesome works just like it's a Nikon lens also use the Sony 85mm F1.8 again works just like a Nikon lens! Shoot sports with them and focusing is as fast as my Z 24-120 and Z 400mm F4.5!

All the FL glass is still exceptional glass in 2024.

I went to a Nikon Z6 III event last week and the first thing I took notice of was how much cleaner the EVF appeared, it's like turning on the wipers when your windshield has fogged up a bit. I'm satisfied with the Z9's EVF, the Z6 III's is just a very noticeable improvement. You hit the nail on the head with the charger/USB cable changes that are taking place globally. No manufacturer is going to take on the added expense of packaging different versions of their products if they can avoid it. The EU requirements will force manufacturers to adopt a standard and the rest of the world will either adapt or be forced to adapt. I understand the inconvenience to some, but chargers are still available to purchase should one need/want. On the bright side, that drawer everyone has filled with duplicate chargers, just became a lot more valuable.

How can it be so great in low light when its dynamic range is only 12 stops of light? It's no doubt a great camera, I love Nikon but where are the hybrid cameras that have 14 to 15 plus stops of light. The reduced stops of light on the z6iii is due to its partially stacked sensor. So less light but less rolling shutter. Anyways a kicker of a camera, but I need the dynamic range more than less rolling shutter.

6:40 - This is about electronic products which have "non-changeable batteries. So from Nikon's point it is being cheap on you, while you still paying more. Personally I have the old MH-24 with my Z7II and Z8, and I still bought the MH-34 charger, so I can use my USB-C charger. Also personally I don't like to use the USB-C PD on my Z8 - as a default charger port - since I already see the rubber failing on my camera, compromising the weather sealing. Only using the PD port when I know my timelapse will take a long time - like when I did aurora timelapse in the cold for 4 hours. That time the battery bank and PD charge was absolute necessary!

What up Matt. Good video all around One thing I disagree. The charger. I just think its silly to void out a Nikon charger because we want to keep the world clean. Phones are different. We use them everyday and everyone in the world has one. I personally dont care what the EU thinks and what policies these no good politicians come up with. Here in America , we want a charger. Is not including a charger going to have an impact on making the planet a better place? well there is allot of things the world can do right now that have 1000X the impact. How bout taking care of the homeless problem in the streets. drugs, pissss,. crappp everywhere. How bout we take care of that first . Ok, so Nikon gets rid of a charger. you know China's gonna produce them anyway. You cant cord off one side of the planet and have the other side not follow the rules. Like this green new deal they try to push while Karey flys off on his private jet. how does that make any sense. electric cars clean for air. but making the batteries is counter productive. . I still think the camera industry not making a charger and blaming it on policy or the envirnment is a cop out. its all about saving money.

Matt…weird question. Is yours reeeeally loud when switching from picture review and back to ready to shoot!? I put it beside my Z6II and the Z6III is noticeably louder!?

I own the Z8 and it’s incredible but the Z6iii has pretty bad Dynamic range for video and that’s going to hurt it… It’s not terrible and with some skill you can work with it in video but if you are skilled you wouldn’t buy this camera. Just being honest. However it is a $2500 camera and a beauty…

Photons to Photos shows about 2/3 less DR at base ISO compared to the Z6II, but your low-light RAWs look fantastic, even with +1 EV and +100 shadows. Is the loss of DR just not very significant?

I see enel15 3rd party batteries with USBC charging port. I think this would be ideal solution to be done with battery chargers

The 40mm f2 was my very first Z mount purchase, and I anticipate keeping it forever. I love it's small size, sharp images, and portability. Now that Nikon has announced this 35mm, I expect this will be my "premium" 35-40mm lens for portraits and street shooting moving forward. Thank you Matt for shedding light on this new lens. And thanks Nikon for thinking about the budget-minded consumer. Looking forward to picking this up in the near future. Cheers Matt.

KEH sell quotes for Z6II ask that you include your old charger. So no charging a second battery outside your new Z6III without purchasing another charger. And if you traded in your old rig, off you pop to purchase new “e waste”. Phones have non removable batteries, camera’s don’t.

I think, diz companies can copy what Viltrox is doing: put a usb-c port on the batteries

Been using DSLR for past 14 years (D7000) and I've been wanting to upgrade for quite some time. You covered some of my questions on this video but I'm wondering if you can do Z6III vs. Z8 comparison video. I've been wanting to get the Z8 but been waiting for Z7 III but since there is only $1000 price difference in Z6 III and Z8, I just don't see where Z7 III will fit in. I like Z6 III's smaller body but what I want most is the focus and nighttime pictures. I mostly use my camera for travels. Thanks!

going to japan and sidney end of the year/ early next year. why would i pick the Z6 III over the Z8? would it be lower iso noise in the Z6 and higher detail in the Z8 ?
