Watch the very end. 😉
Fascinating interview! These insights are uplifting. Thanks Matt!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Matt. Quentin is an excellent guest. Really interesting video… exciting times ahead. Well done!👍🏻
Fascinating! The next five years should be interesting.
With Nikon being a sensor designer and Red also being a sensor designer I can see the two doing great work together maybe.
Looking forward to the new tech that will come out of this!
I'm loving every minute of this!! Thanks for sharing...Peace
This is huge, the potential for growth and expansion as well as advancements is mind-blowing, is this going to be where they expand their lens range into?. It's funny but when the 58mm Noct was released I wondered if that was Nikon putting their toes in the cine space...buying Red wasn't quite what I thought was Nikons plan. Wow just wow
Wow! this is super interesting.
Glad I stuck with Nikon
I'm sure good things will come of this.
Matt I love these talks/chats with people outside the normal that gives us different information in the industry. It's great to listen to and refreshing to learn new things about tech that we might know about but not the "know" about. Great talk.
Thanks Steve.
Thanks, Matt. I don’t have insight about RED is positioned in the cinematic video market. This interview is terrific!
Ok just finished the video and it was an inspiring one for sure as is the acquisition of Nikon buying Red . I am so so excited to see what the two can do together !!!
Nice one Matt appreciate you going out and finding some solid info and perspectives to bring forward on your platform
Thanks mate.
@@MattIrwinPhotographyI did……indeed I did,my thought still lingers though.😂uh huh.Clever,very clever cobber
?
Its going to be fun!
Excellent conversation
Fascinating interview... the future's bright
I see a whole lot of good things coming down the line. Will we see a new sensor developed for Nikon’s Z mount cameras in the coming years. Possibly.
Great interview 😊
You inspire me with your commitment to produce stunning content. ❤
Cheers. Go for it. Be the best you. It will shine through.

Great stuff really enjoyed it. Very excited for the future
Totally awesome Matt!!!!!!!!!
Hello Matt, Great interview. I love all this new technology, I remember when my farther(When he was still with us) was telling about shoot George Orwell 1984 back in 1949 and they had no way of recording it, So when when we see it now its the second showing that they recorded. The fist when out live. how things are changing in just under 100 years.
Nice interview Matt - exciting times indeed!

This is Simply Wonderful!!! So Much Real Insight & perspective!!
Love this content
ARRI dual readout tech for DR is something no one has. Their latest Alexa 35 is like 2 to 3 stops higher than most Sony cameras. The Red is bout 2 stop lower and the Z9 is about a stop lower.... But the z9 has best DR than any other Sony camera in CineD latitude test.!!!
Thanks Matt for your efforts in presenting info on RED with folks in the industry, although I will never be a cinematographer or own a RED product, you can't help but be impressed with what they have done in a very short period of time in Hollywood. There should be nothing but positive changes that can occur with Nikon's acquisition of Red, Nikon can open up new markets for RED and supply well needed $$$ for future R & D and Marketing and provide cost saving to RED due to Nikon's buying power. Nikon will benefit from the aggressive creativeness of the folks at RED and of course their knowledge of Global shutters having had a 6K version and now a 8K global sensor plus the compression technology for large files. A win, win as long as they don't constrain RED's creativity which I don't believe they will, you don't fix or change what's not broken. Take care - Jeff
Hopefully Nikon will make Red cameras more easily avaliable in europe market.
it will be nice if that 20 stop capability goes into the z system
Sorry, I still don't know what a 'virtual wall' is or does.
It's like a green screen but actually a big LCD screen.
Doesn't matter what is coming next on RED/NIKON. It's all about money!💰
All companies do everything for money... 🙄
You got it bubba…EXACTLY
@@urosjovanovic3142 True. But making profit is one thing. Unmitigated greed is something totally different. RED is the Apple to the cinema camera industry. Sure they make an excellent product. But every item is piecemeal and they charge you a mint for every piece.
