    Hi Matt, Andy here.
It was so great to see you in person at the Nikon Z6III touch and try event last night! Thanks for the Melbourne a Love Affair book given to us, it is so inspirational for every one of us to go out and enjoy taking photos.
Thank you Nikon Australia and the whole team!

I wish in these aesthetics videos that you would hold the camera up and aim it off to your right side by, say, 45 degrees instead of straight-on to the recording camera. As you do it here all the camera/lens combinations look basically the same. But angled away from the recording camera would give us a feel for what we would look like to others. This is especially important for street photography where, as the occasion requires, we might want to be seen or NOT to be seen. BTW as a full-frame and APS-C Sony shooter I'm taking a really good look at the Z6 III, particularly for its video abilities as well as its ability to take my investment in E-mount glass.

I will be doing a lot of video with the Z6III and so I have the SmallRig cage on the way. That will provide a bit of a bottom plate to help keep my pinky in place and it will broaden the grip a bit as well to get my hand position as close as possible to the Z9. I can’t wait to get shooting with this camera. It has the compact size and feature set I’ve been waiting for in a B-cam for my Z9, and in a lot of cases it will be the first camera I pull out of the bag while at the same time completely negating my use cases for the smaller Blackmagic cameras I’ve been using. For heavier duty filming I will be picking up a C400, but maybe in a few years I will be able to have a complete Z lineup with an “affordable” Red camera with Z-mount. Time will tell. Thanks for taking the time to do the lens try on. That’s a lot of work.

Man, this just adds to the completeness of the camera. I'm watching a previously recorded livestream by Robin Wong in which he discusses potentially getting a Z6 III down the line, and he's a photographer, not a videographer. But he sees the fully articulating display as an advantage, as do I btw. My point is that everyone seems so convinced that this camera is not for photographers, but I think they're wrong. It has probably the best EVF ever, it doesn't have active cooling, it seems like it doesn't sacrifice low light performance for speed (although I'm very skeptical of Matt's claim that it's a stop better than the Z6 II), and essentially, what makes it capable of things like 4K/120 also enables 120fps in DX. So I actually think it's fairly balanced in what it's for.

Decided I want a Z6III & MB-N14 grip 😎 Too amazing to pass up! Will wait for the pre-order wave to settle and maybe see what happens with holiday promos etc.
Also, Ricci mentioned: "The mechanical shutter is only there for when you want to use flash." I feel like this is a solid statement, with the addition of high-HIGH speed action, where mechanical might prevent some slight rolling shutter. This semi-stacked 9ms sensor really puts the Z6III in its own unique category. Thanks for all you do! 👏🏻

Is there a way to give feedback directly to Nikon? The no blackout is only possible when shooting high frames per second, but if you don't want to be blasting away at the highest speed but you want no blackout, can't they just save less of the photos or something? I don't see any reason why the camera can't just have no blackout

I'll not miss having to twist to unlock on the 24-70mm, when I need a shot fast it really gets in the way. I think it's a little odd how no one mentions this.

Hi Matt, I already had a white Nikon lens, the AF-S VR Zoom Nikkor ED 70-200mm F2.8G IF Light Gray, I think it was the only lens available in white on Nikon lenses, it's a shame I abandoned white lenses, Everyone knows there is less heat when exposed to direct sunlight, it may be that Nikon will return to white for some lenses.

Ufdah! Pretty much sold on the camera but will have to wait. Both for the budget to recover from the Plena and the pre-orders to get filled. So by then, perhaps the Z7III will be out and that one may be more compelling. Was tempted by the Zf, but SD cards... meh. Truth be told, the 24mp is probably enough, but something in the 36mp (just for some cropping head room) would have been just a wee bit more desirable. Now, if they do a Z50II and it is given some serious bump - might just go in that direction. A very nice walking around camera (which the Z50 is) with some extra features - just might be a better choice.

I use my 24-120 lens the most as it will fit most occasions. I still don't own the Zmount70-200 2.8 because I own the 70-200 2.8 FL lens . Honestly I am not sure the Z mount 70-200 will perform that much better considering the money. If anybody can chime in here I'd love to hear what you have to say. I am going to get the Viltrox 16mm lens for sure. Being a sport photographer, I own the Nikon 400 2.8 beast of a lens ( amazing !!) and I thought I"d try the 400 4.5 by Nikon and the slower aperture doesn't t hurt that much but the best thing of all is I can hand hold it at the sidelines and quickly swing it to the action with our needing a rotator cuff repair the following week. If I had the dinero, I'd get the Nikon 400 2.8 with TC. Thanks to Matt for trying on the new lenses.

Thanks for the survey. But still no full frame lenses from the major third-party lens maker, Sigma. Is Nikon shutting them out? And what’s going on with the Nikon-Tamron alliance? It’s resulted in a handful of zooms. But where are the rest of Tamron’s lenses? Odd decisions at Nikon when they allow lenses from AstrHori, Meike, and Viltrox but not from the two biggest lens makers. Not as bad as Canon though!
