I watched half of the movie for the first time tonight. Watching the other half tomorrow. I felt sad for Harper but really for all women. I can’t hike by myself because I’m female. I don’t want to even walk in my own neighborhood alone. Men in trucks will slow down as they get close and just stare. I’m thinking, great, is this person trying to kidnap me? Most men, even in 2024, have no clue or even want to understand what women have to worry about. Btw. The cinematography in this movie is beautiful. The tunnel scene had me on edge. Tomorrow, when I watch the 2nd half, I don’t want to see any more dead animals. 😣

I saw this Thursday and enjoyed it. I was pissed at the young girl too. I must have shouted, sit your ass down several times in the theatre.

Just saw this and was underwhelmed and it’s so darn long! Frank the detective was hot though although I didn’t notice until he took off his glasses and the pool of bodies scene was good.

15 hours of Natasha Bedingfield would be like a form of torture used at Guantánamo Bay. Nothing about the characters or writing was believable at all. Felt like it was written by AI.

Just home from the cinema. I watched it with someone who didn’t see the trailer. They loved it, I liked it. Miley Cyrus was scary and the action was entertaining. Oh and the actress who played Abigail did a great job.

Re: Lucas Hass "He's having fun. He just likes being on set." That's the funniest thing I've heard all week.

I may have read way too much into it - maybe because of personal experience with abusive mothers (not my own) but I found the opening scenes chilling. I think ella was her mother’s puppet her whole life down. The scene when the mother yelled at her not to move - I imagined her using that as “training” for stopmotion work but it actually was probably very painful and made her disassociate to survive. Can you imagine having your mother tell you your next move down to the half a milimeter like every second every day? It would drive anyone mad! And then take that control away and I think the ending made so much sense. It can be scary how at the mercy of the adults children are. Thought it was excellent but horrifying view into that. Thanks for the review as always!

3:37 Every time I see Kristen Davis I'm reminded of that time she was here in Sydney for a UNICEF thing but Koshie and the blonde morning show host just wanted to talk SaTC including the pooping herself scene from the first movie, then there was a super cringe skit they made her do when she and the female hosts (in bad wigs) reinacted the post it break up scene, it was so bad the blonde chick was uninvited as the MC of the charity event lol.

Joseph cannot imagine the heist's 'backup crew' cast choices, that's saying a lot already about how 'dismal' the entertainment quality is going to be!
