The only ones who did their homework was the monster design people.
it's origin was goofy from a scene from the goofy movie. Then mixed it with a bunch of animal behaviors and details, like shoebills and ants.
I love how Nick actually knows if Joseph has ever seen a movie or not, no matter when it came out 😂 If I asked my partner "have I seen a movie by so-and-so," he'd be like "how would I know??" 😭

The clapping their mouths like that, I think, is inspired by owls’ defense mechanism. They puff up, lower their heads and loudly and ferociously clap their beaks. It’s actually really scary if you aren’t expecting it.
it's inspired by a shoebill's long beak and the noise they make that sounds like a machine gun.
@@Spwookie which is also the exact same thing an owl does. lol. It isn’t specific to shoebills.
I thought the monsters were hilarious I couldn’t take the snapping seriously and when they turned into a Ferris wheel to attack 😂 love you both ❤

Hey there Nick and Joseph! On eclipse Monday I went to see two movies. Those films were "Love Lies Bleeding" and "Wicked Little Letters." You guys gave both of these good reviews and I can see why. They were both excellent! When I went to see "Wicked Little Letters" I was the only one in the entire theatre.

I was thinking about the billions of dollars pumped into pulp films, films that are so long, and then you have the full length 10 minute video for the RIDE song by Lana Del Rey and how it encapsulates how to put so much story, dept, visual, emotion into such a short timeframe,
I thought this was the origin story of Eddie Arcadian from The Last Dragon! Ha!
The shaky cam was so bad, I have to stop after 20mins coz I was sick
1.5 hours watching the movie, half an hour looking for answers..
I agree about when people look too healthy, or put together for whatever situation they're in. It takes me right out of the movie or show.

Nick Cage currently, last 15 years; blockbuster type, no desire to see, trash. Small film, could be interesting.
I think they were his son's but he had to leave them somewhere safe while he goes out and find food for them when they were babies.
They aren't twins.
But, I agree they really aren't his biological children. You're the only other review I've heard that agrees with me that he found the babies.
I think if the movie was 2 hours, that some of these things could have been a bit more fleshed out.

You guys should watch the apple tv series "SEE" starring jason Momoa, about Earth 500 years ahead after a virus caused everyone to be born blind. Ran for 3 full seasons and was pretty darn good, and actually realistic and well thought out societal ramifications.

Your description of the creatures was fine, until Nick unfazed, that they resembled "sick black bears," added, that there's something wrong with them! Yep! The one 'behind' you faintly, could be the ugly cousin of the first Orcs/Uruk-Hai!

I know this is a spoiler review video but just incase lol. I just got home from seeing this movie and it was awful. The constant need for the camera to always be in motion was a disgusting choice. The monsters when revealed just made me go "How did humanity fall to these?" The first one we truly "see" Nic just flips it over onto its back an stabs it with a kitchen knife to death no issue. Later the kids kill one with two sharpened broom sticks and punches/knife stabbing with a pocket knife. A normal shotgun/gun kills them.
It just makes me wonder how humanity fell to these things. They were dying super easy. All they had were their numbers? But even then a guy with a SAW and a few extra belts would have kept them at bay. Let alone hundreds of thousands of soldiers.
Also the just figuring out to dig up from under the house. Why didn't the kids an everybody just move to the garage that had concrete walls and concrete floor? The entire movie was a mess for me.
Also YES. No Blade of Grass is amazing

at 11 minutes the movie annoyed me immediately, terrible logic, why would you breath so loud if you're in hiding mode, this is just terrible nonlogical script writing, if you're in a hiding situation, why would you breath hard
