No one will ever top Kirsten Dunst performance of being a child vampire. “I want some more.”
YASSS AGREE!
Ironically... Alisha Weir imho is killing it more than 'Lee Miller.'
When she cut her hair off.... ✨️I✨️C✨️O✨️N✨️I✨️C✨️
First!! So proud of you two!! You inspired me to come out to my family yesterday...I'm a proud gay man...thanks for being an inspiration
Thank you for sharing your honest experience, thanossnap. :)
Congrats! 🖤
Hurray for you!
❤❤❤
Good for you!!!❤
Bless up homie
They actually mentioned that Kathryn newtons character was there because she stole money from Abigail’s dad’s bank account 👍🏻
Joseph I can’t believe you thought Abigail was worse than Night Swim 😲😲😲
Night swim had so much potential.. went know where
R.I.P Angus Cloud❤
This movie wouldve been better if they didn't reveal the girl was a vampire in the trailer.
To have that be the twist would've been pretty good.
It didn't hurt it
Rip Mac Miller
@@leonzaduncan2438 It wasn't awful but for me I would've liked to have been in the same place as the characters
If a twist is revealed in the first third of the movie I don't mind it in the trailer, but I get what you mean 😉
Probably just trying to avoid another Cabin in the Woods situation. Where the cleverly misleading trailers ended up hurting the movie’s initial audience reception.
For what it’s worth, I referred to Angus as Mac Miller before he died. I think he referenced being compared to him fairly often in an interview before his death. Excellent review, per usual, gentlemen.
Mac Miller was dope.
Rip 🪦 Mac Miller
The only reason I gave this movie a chance was because I saw Angus in the teaser trailer- then I saw the actual trailer and I felt it gave everything away- so I waited for Fish Jelly, and I’m glad I did🤭 thanks again my friends for another entertaining review ✌️❤️💪🥰
Just home from the cinema. I watched it with someone who didn’t see the trailer. They loved it, I liked it. Miley Cyrus was scary and the action was entertaining. Oh and the actress who played Abigail did a great job.
I felt the same about Miley Cyrus lmao she looked just like her
I loved this movie but i was laughing SO MUCH at the dumb decisions of the criminals.
*Three of them TOGETHER try to kill the girl unsuccessfully*
Next step: OK LET'S SEPARATE TO GET HER
Me: 😂😂😂😂 this gonna end badly
I just saw it and thought it was good I liked Matthew Goode popping up as her dad.
She did looked like Miley hahaha I thought that too.
The reason he turned quicker that the girl was bc he drank blood from the vampire.
This movie was so BLOODY FUN! The actress of Abigail was insanely good and the movie was so funny. I has an absolute blast with it and cannot wait to watch it again. Going to be apart of my halloween viewing for years to come for sure.
I love Kathryn Newton’s line delivery. She seems to really love acting.
Joseph, you’re trippin, respectfully
"Megabigail" Don't give them any ideas!!!🤣🤣
It makes me sad you didn’t like this movie. I absolutely loved it. But I also caught a bunch of references to vampire movies (Swan Lake being the score to the original 30’s Dracula movie; the teeth resembling Nosferatu’s teeth, the eyes also being a callback to Nosferatu and Lost Boys; Sammy had a sparkly shirt and was called “Twilight”, etc.).
I loved Alisha Weir and Dan Stevens and had a lot of fun with the gore.
I had seen this movie Abigail last night after work. I enjoyed it, and I found it clever, hilarious and with over-the-top, detailed gore! I enjoy some of the witty dialogue by a few characters, and there's some character development. But there's some plot holes and some silliness. I love vampires and werewolves! I have my brief movie review also. 19apr24
Joey was high when operating on the important person in Abigail's father org. Peter was skimming, so like many gangs, he had to be used as a lesson. Sammy was a hacker who robbed companies and some were fronts for the Crime org. Frank was undercover in the Org, turned 3 people and Lambert, then disappeared when the 3 witnesses and the guards were all murdered by Abigail. Which was referenced earlier when they were telling stories about Lazar.
So these 2 directors are part of the movie production team named radio silence. Ive been a fan of their work in the horror genre(except for scream 6 not a fan lol). These directors were slated to direct scream 7 but the studio fired Melissa Barrera for comments about the israel-palestine conflict. The directors refused to make scream 7 without Barrera. I appreciate and respect the radio silence team for choosing to stay loyal to their actors rather than some studio heads. Not an easy choicr im sure. Great review as always. Im always much more intrigued when u guys r split on a film!
Angus passed away shortly after his father, whom he was extremely close with. I really liked him on Euphoria. I'll check out this flick when it streams. Thank you both as usual and have fun in Cannes! 😊
Ps. HUGE crush on Dan. He was awesome in Legion.
Rip 🪦 Mac Miller
I saw it on Wednesday. I was confused at how the first two people died if Abigail was locked up. Was she sneaking out and then going back to pretending to be tied up in that room? lol
Other than that it was cool, I’m not into vampire movies but this wasn’t horrible
She was indeed sneaking out. When she finally reveals herself to them, it looks like she breaks her fingers to slip out of the cuffs. So she was getting out and then going back in to fake the little girl act.
I thought it was Lambert following Abigail's directions, since he was there watching the whole time
This movie is like an interview with a vampire with a little girl vampire.
This is the best comment.
The character, Abigail, is based on Claudia, the child vampire from Interview with the Vampire. But Claudia was a much more tragic figure.
If I did not already know the twist (thank you movie trailers) if I had seen it cold, I would’ve been knocked sideways to find out that the kidnapped girl was a vampire
“And There Were None” even had a more racist title before “Ten Little Indians”… but also, “And There Were None” was inspired by the novel/movie “The Ninth Guest” about the similar plot of guests stuck in a mansion getting killed one by one.
That's what I was thinking too. They only changed the French title in 2020!
The original title was “10 little N words”. SUPER racist. And it was changed to “10 little Indians”. I’m not sure why that’s racist because you could easily call a book 10 little Englishmen. The title was referring to people from India, after all. But, it was changed to “and then there were none“. The troop of people being picked off one by one is so common, I would not have made the connection if the book was not mentioned in the movie. In the poem “10 little Indians“ the last one kills himself.
I loved the movie. The premise maybe predictable but the actors are all really fun to watch. I really appreciated the young actress playing Abigail.
It was a fun gory popcorn horror.
If you want a dysfunctional family drama with Matt Goode, check out Stoker with him, Nicole Kidman and Mia Wasikowska
Joey did say that Frank was hiding his accent when they were paying her. Then he got pissed that she revealed who everyone was - when he was the first one to offer her money. Then he got mad when she took off Abigail's blindfold, because Abigail saw her when he went into her room - even though he wasn't suppose to be in her room, only Joey. Joey probably shouldn't have took Abigail's blindfold off, but he was dumb and off as hell!
Joey was high when she messed up that surgery.
I do agree that this should have been camp. It wasn't scary, and it wasn't funny, and I was a little upset because from the trailer it looked like a horror comedy. The only good horror comedy I've seen is Cooties. I think that balanced comedy and horror very well.
I didn't think it was too long until daddy came along, but by then I also thought the deal between Frank and Lambert was odd. I was willing to go along with it, even though I wondered why Lambert made the deal to only Frank (he seemed to hate Joey), and why did Frank accept so readily to be a vampire (I don't care if he was offered a crime empire). This movie was really about Abigail trying to get daddy's attention by killing his enemies. That's probably why the house isn't sun proof - daddy doesn't care.
Ready or Not had the exploding bodies. These directors love exploding bodies!
OMG thank you thank you! I was hoping you guys were going to review this film. You guys are so awesome! ❤
I literally went on y’all’s channel earlier today to look for this movie and here it is! You read my mind 💁🏼♀️
50 Million dollars?! Who they kidnap? Chelsea Clinton? 😂 Thanks for the review and saving me money! 💜
I LOVE Giancarlo Esposito! I feel like seeing the film based on him being in it!
"let the right one in " "let me in" really good child vampire
I enjoyed it 🩰 Felt bad Joey didn't get healed at the end - poor thing.
Love the scene with Abigail puppet dancing Sammy's character! It was creepy fun.
Why the hell didn't she shower after falling in the moat!? 🤮
I definitely wonder who the hell has to clean all the exploded guts in that place 😅
The double ratched teeth were gross 😬
Didn't care for the last few minutes with the dad but if they do a sequel it can be at Chistmas with the Nutcracker Suite 🎄😜
So the vampire can ambush her in the shower?! I can't wait to see this!
I saw this last night enjoyed it until the ending lmao
Great video! I enjoyed the film, but y'all are right, they could done so much more or been so much more creative & fun with the premise. :)
My uncle and I were waiting for your review. Though vampire movies don’t do it for me, I guess I’ll see it. But I typically agree with Joseph on films.
Fun facepalm fact, And Then There Were None was first published in the 30s as Ten Little N-Words. And then it was changed to Indians because that was considered less offensive than N-Words.
Thank you for sharing. Correcto, I had learned several years ago about the title of the book.
Still one of my favorite books. I love And then there were none inspired films especially when they're done well.
@@blackamericanlesbianprofes4357 It's my favorite example of 'trying to do the right thing and still getting it wrong' ;D
That’s like 30 days of night. Turning into a vampire to beat the vampires.
I saw the movie last night. I didn’t catch that the names given to the kidnappers are those of the real Rat Pack. Nice! Excellent review, as always. I expected more from the movie and as I was leaving I thought The First Omen was better than Abigail and Immaculate is a distant third. The Korean movie Exhuma was better than all three.
I don't need absentee parent issues in my vampire movies
Families are gonna "family" 😂
Just saw this and was underwhelmed and it’s so darn long! Frank the detective was hot though although I didn’t notice until he took off his glasses and the pool of bodies scene was good.
y'all are so harsh, and i live for it haha. i loved this movie though
I am not a fan of horrors, no interest in general but the Trailer made me laugh and the Ballerina vampire really sold it to me, i know i wouldn't have bothered otherwise or waited till i could stream it.
I have great memories of Kirsten Dunst in 'Interview with a vampire' when that first cane out and Alisha Weir has picked up where Dunst left of brilliantly. A fun gore fest definitely worth watching with friends and family
Joseph woke up on the wrong side of the bed lol I’m glad Nick enjoyed it. I enjoyed the movie. I saw it for the wickedly talented Melissa Berrera
Just watched this tonight. I had not seen the trailer. I knew it was about a little girl but I thought it was another possession movie. So i liked it on that. I also didn't pay either so 😂 . Going by what you guys said about the trailer giving away that she was a vampire is wth 🤦🏽♂️
Anyway loved the review Lol have a good one all
Do you guys ever get movies from vinegar syndrome or Severin? They’re Both really fun. My wife and I I love your show. Thank you
will you be reviewing Coukoo with Dan Stevens?
I thought Abigail was pretty great. Certainly not perfect but a lot of fun. Two issues I had were that the humor was sometimes a little hit and miss. Some of it worked and some of it took you out of the film because it was a bit childish. The other issue I had was the last ten minutes of the film, it felt almost tacked on. But overall it was pretty decent and the girl playing Abigail absolutely nailed it. An enjoyable 7 out of 10 for me.
I was disappointed by this too, it gave M3GHAN: vampire edition. I wish they would've leaned into the scary. I did not like it being a set up by Abigail. I just like the idea of them not knowing what they got themselves into and then learning a hard lesson. Like the movie where they thought they could rob the blind man and found out he was the real danger.
i agree! i wish they leaned into the scary. there were moments that had a true old school cinematic vibe to it like when see was flying and grabbing the guy, something about that felt really cool. but i wish it was scary...
I liked M3GHAN. I thought it hit the note between horror and comedy way better than this film did.
@@edwinv196 i agree...!
You had me at Kevin Durand is cute!
I think you guys missed some spots, i always watch a movie twice. If i saw it in theaters, i know i missed or forgot some parts. Watching it at home you get to rewind or focus vetter.
The movie was pure camp and chaos, yeah we knew what she was and that it was a kidnapping but then the real twist came and it wasnt a kidnapping. It was basically clue, everyone had a fault and reason to be there, but the victim was actually the mastermind. Hope that gives some perspective, but i loved the ride and the mess weaved in.
I'm so excited for this review! I guessed it was a coming of age or right of passage vampire Bat Mitzvah 😁 Like Alien V. Predator. I'm excited to go see this. Thank you for the review.
when she pulled out the wrapper I thought she was about to pull put a crackpipe
This is a clear 9/10 for me i enjoyed all the parts. Just a bummer coz the first two kills are offscreen that's my only complaint
Nah the movie wasn’t a 9 out of 10… I’ll say 6 and a half or maybe a close 7. Movie had some flaws that took the rating down.
Yeah I kinda have to agree with Joseph. I was not a huge fan of this movie. Trying to be both a horror and a comedy is a very hard note to hit. You really have to lean into one more than the other and I just felt like this movie wasn't funny enough to succeed as a comedy nor scary enough to succeed as a horror. And the acting especially by the blonde hacker girl was really bad. She really took me out of it. Her character did not seem believable or authentic on any level. I thought the little girl who played Abigail was great though. And then the third act was really drawn out and not very satisfying. The rapid change of alliances seemed cheap, not the ending I was hoping for.
This film was great i just watched it and i felt it was filmed just right, it didn't go too over the top and the english actress that played abigail was phenomenal. I know a few viewers missed some info about the film but it was fresh to see 👌🏼
Abigail is home alone in a haunted house
i just saw the film, and i give it a B-. Everyone seems to love it, and believe u me I was wanting to love this film as I am a huge vampire movie lover. I just feel like if a vampire movie is to work, the vampire has to be truly scary. There needs to be elements that are truly dark and demonic so that it contrasts with the comedic moments in order for you to actually feel anything. I did think she looked like Miley!
lol great review but I thought it was a fun popcorn movie and I laughed. A movie to not think about
Just left out the theatre and I really enjoyed it!
Shoutout to match point lol I have had that movie on my mind all spring.
With these vampire stories, when they have a child vampire I feel like that child is frozen in place forever at that age and doesn’t mature beyond that age no matter how much time goes by. Their brain doesn’t develop any further just as their body stays locked at 10 or 12 or whatever. So they can learn new things and retain information as the decades pass but their brains are not changing and evolving and developing (or degrading, as the case would be with dementia in the elderly). If you think about it, the adult vampires are frozen in time too at whatever age they became vampires and they don’t get dementia either.
So this to me is why it’s okay for a child vampire to stay functionally a child forever on a developmental level. Some people who had brain injuries also never developed mentally beyond childhood because their brains aren’t forming new pathways and everything else that goes into normal development as the body ages.
Yeah, I'm with Joseph on this one. Went in blind, and it still didn't work for me. The plot felt weak, and all that ballerina stuff? Kinda cheesy. After the Abigail reveal, I was counting the minutes.
Dayum, Angus Cloud died? Sad. He basically played the same character from Euphoria.
A wasted premise, and a boring film. Litte miss Weir was great though
Long live Angus cloud ❤
Rip 🪦 Mac Miller
Oh and they can knock her out ... And she has a pulse
I didn’t realize how long it was when I went to watch it. The main character was irritating me with some of her questionable actions in the beginning. I also thought the end dropped the ball with the guy flipping out.
enjoyed this, esp Dan Stevens
This film irked me! I went to see it yesterday and wanted to leave but I paid so I stayed put in agony. So, I’m here wanting to see what you guys have to say. 🥴
I liked it, it was supposed to be silly and fun. And for some reason reminded me of the style of movies I watched in the 90's Like Dusk till Dawn and Lost Boys.
Whatever you do, DO NOT google "what was the original title of the novel And Then There Were None?" 😲
I LOVE MELISSA BARRERA SM
I just got back from this: C+ / B-… really expected something smarter and more subtle from the people who made Ready or Not, I love that movie.
I found the script really stupid and a lot of the acting very cringe.
28:19 Dan Steven’s turns fast because he gave him his own blood.
The trailer for Die Hard ruined the movie because we knew a cop was trapped in a high rise building with terrorist. I can go on and on if you can see where I’m going with this. Abigail trailer did not ruin the movie. If the movie wasn’t good then the movie wasn’t good, the trailer didn’t ruin anything. It’s not a mystery movie aka a whole done it
This has to be the first review I've seen where someone didn't enjoy the movie.
You might want to check out their reviews of worst movies.
@@bountifire Nah. I can already tell I won't agree with the majority of their opinions.
A ballerina Vampire with potential...but 'she' sucked up too much, uhm time! Nice! So a 'hide and seek' theme I guess, with my 'patience' I'd watch to see if there's a 'permanent method' to the ending of a Vampire here!
I think this is the first time I've seen you two have a sizable disagreement beyond a .5.
I watched a few moments ago... Im so mixed. A movie about a kidnapping gone awry is "whisper"... Its more horror than this.
Soooooo isn't that home the historical home of the "Gentlemen Jack" real life title character? *I am COMPLETELY unsure* It was heavily featured in series, right? Quick aside the series was based on what is believed to be the first lesbian marriage or union "on the books" if I recall correctly(?) I liked that series a lot. Suranne Jones was wonderful in it. Anne Lister was honestly badass
My girl upset you guys are not in the same room for this movie review, it’s really bothering her how you guys are not together rn
My family and I enjoyed this movie. We give it 4 out of 5 stars.
the movie was okay but that kid is a ridiculously good actor
It was aiight🤷🏾♀️ 😂 I was digging it till Frank got bit🙄😑
yeah, thate the moment the logic left this film.
And then there were none.. the movie is about a bunch of people (9 , or 10) people who are all invited to this mansion house for the weekend. When they get there they are told that the reason that they are invited was that they had all committed some horrible crime and escaped justice for it. The are told that they each would face justice over the weekend unless they figure out who invited them/who the killer is. The guest are killed off one by one, with the last two being in a stand off.
The whole story of the movie loses some steam when she tells them about their real lives and how they are connected to her father’s business. The movie is good but the plot story just wasn’t interesting enough to believe it and some of dialogue was too cliche and stupid. I gave the movie a C+ it was alil above average but not great.
Wanna have some fun, let's have some fun.
Are you talking to me I am waiting to have some fun. Lol. 😂😂😂😂
I can't lol..
Saw this last night and agree with Joseph. This movie wasn’t good. Took too long to get to the point and wasn’t explained why all the vampires were immediately evil. I expected Newton’s vampire and Frank to be good vamps. They weren’t.
Yeah I thought Frank was gonna team up with Joey to take down Abigail once he was turned. He had started to come around at that point so I thought it was so left field that he immediately tried killing Joey.
Were you not paying attention? Newton was being controlled by Abigail, she was literally a puppet. Frank on the other hand was always a bad guy and never liked Joey. Once Frank no longer had to work with Joey to survive, at that point she was just someone who knew his new secret and was a liability.
@@francisbartoszewski2284The ending just was lack luster and wasn’t scary anymore. It turned into a drama action movie but with senseless plot twist.
@@spirituallyconscious7774 ok so? I'm confused, did you want this movie to be insidious level of scary from start to finish? I think that's not realistic and I disagree that the plot twist was senseless.
@@francisbartoszewski2284 It was senseless and it just felt like the writers didn’t know how to end the movie so they rushed it. Overall movie was still good but overrated. Not as good as people making it out to be. And honestly insidious.aint that scary to me either. Abigail started out good but once you get into the character back stories it just not that interesting and don’t get me started on the main character and that shaky dialogue.
This was a fun movie to watch lol. It was funny. And that one girl looked just like Miley when she turned into a vampire lol. I kept saying that!
You guys are being so cute looking in this video with both of you guys wearing straight up black tee shirts. Or should I say gay up black tee shirts? I know that was seriously corny but it had to be said.
17:40 laughed out loud at this
Please review Baby Reindeer.
This movie sounds like it has way too much foolishness going on - thank you for saving me a few hours of my life 🤣
You wanna turn this into Blade😂
Abigail didn’t kill the black guy her father did.
Ten little Indians was a lot like clue and saw combined
Halloween Horror Night is going to have fun with this movie lol 😂..if they decide to do a maze for this movie I can see it now. Ballerina vampires throughout the mazes 😮😮😮😂😂😂.
I think this is the first review I’ve seen where y’all have such a gap between ratings. Leaning with Joseph on this one
The shade!!! 😂
I was waiting for you guys with this review. Although I don't see scary movies smh.😮 but I still enjoy your intake..

I know Abby Lee Miller may love the dancing parts lol pun intended lol..especially the name lol..
